All Goliath’s Talk, But All Goliath’s Fall

April 19, 2017

“So the Philistine said to David, Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. Then David said to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts…” I Samuel 17:43, 45, NKJV.

Goliath came to Israel and talked to them like they were scum. He stood 9ft tall before David and referred to him as a stick. He told them he is going to kill him and give his flesh to the birds. He cursed David by his gods, talking to David and Israel as if they were literally nothing.

We all have Goliath’s. Is yours standing before you and talking to you the same way? It is standing before saying you’re not going to walk in God’s plan for you. Nothing will change for your life. He won’t restore you. You won’t make it. God isn’t able to deliver you and the devil is mocking your God.

Talk is cheap, so give it no place in your life. It is about what the end will be, and the devil is no match for your God. Goliath talked much, but ended up doing little. Not saying much, David slew him with a sling shot and a stone, showing how mighty our God is. The Great I AM doesn’t need much, just a seed of faith that you put in Him. Just as the small stone in David’s hands, you will overcome your Goliath with that small seed of faith in yours.

Now take your faith and slay your giant.

Prayer: Father, I thank You and praise You. You are my mighty God and I will have what You have promised me. Talk is cheap and my Goliath will fall. I put my seed of faith in You. Lead me Holy Spirit. Jesus is greater in me, and with You, will accomplish everything God has told me to do. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

The Lord Will Get You There

April 17, 2017

“I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13

If your faith has brought you this far, it is your faith that will carry you on to the other side of glory! You may have come through the fire and through the flood, and you may have thought, “I don’t know how I’m going to reach that place God has for me!” But God says, “Behold I have opened a door before you and no man can shut it. For you have a little strength. You have kept my word and have not denied my name. (see Revelation 3:8)”

If He can bring you through the pain and suffering, He can usher you into the land of the living. Don’t lose confidence in your Lord. Don’t limit His wisdom and grace. God will be glorified in your life! As you continue walking with Him, you will see His salvation and His glory manifested in your life!

Prayer: Thank You God. You know exactly where I am. You are my God and I am Your son. You gave me a heart to believe and it is that believing that is keeping me. Thank You for never letting me go. Thank You for Your mercy and grace. Thank You for loving me the way You do. I believe in You. I trust You. Be glorified in me. In Jesus name, Amen.

He is risen!

April 16, 2017

“He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.” Matthew 28:6-7, NKJV.

Jesus had been telling His disciples what He came for. He had come to give His life as a sacrifice for our sins. Yet, He told them that wouldn’t be all that would happen. He said in three days that He would rise from the dead. He would tell them in different ways again and again that He would overcome the grave and rise. Now, the angel says He is risen, just like He said.

Jesus didn’t come only to wipe away your sin. He came to make you alive! He came and gave you eternal life. He came to make every area in your life alive. He came to make you new. He came to make the life of God, the purposes of God, the plan of God for you to rise!

When He rose, the new you rose. When He rose with all power in His hands, when you give your life to Him, you have risen with power in yours. You have risen to be the man God says you can be and to do what the He created you to do. Yes, it is amazing, beyond your comprehension, with everything you’ve been through, but you stand now in Christ, full of His Spirit and you are alive!

So live! Exalt the Lord. Live in Him and for Him. And whatever He said will rise in your life, it will. It may be dead, it may appear lost, but if He said He will make that area alive again, rise again, He will. It will be just like He said.

Prayer: Father, You’ve done great things for this man. Jesus is alive! He rose just like He said. You have done what You said you will do in my life. Things are rising that appeared like they couldn’t. What an awesome God You are! Thank You Jesus for Your resurrection and mine! You made me alive! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

He is Papa now.

April 15, 2017

“And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Galatians 4:6, NKJV.

Jesus introduced calling God more by the name of Father than anyone else in the Bible when he walked the earth. He would always be calling God Father and told us to call Him that when we pray. He then went deeper by calling Him “Abba” (Mark 14:36). Abba is a more intimate, close and affection term of Father. It is similar to saying papa or dad.

When he gave his life for us, anyone that receives him now receives the Spirit of Adoption and we can now know God just as he does. Jesus wants you to know the Father as he does. He is not just God. He is not just Father.

He is Papa. He is Dad.

When I call God Papa, that alone causes me to work beyond any unworthiness, feeling unqualified and all the above. Calling Him Papa alone helps me deal with the hurt and disappointments of my own natural father who wasn’t there. It may seem far from you being able to be so so close to the Father, yet that is what God has intended through Jesus. Jesus removed the gap of sin and restored man to sonship.

Now is the time God wants you to know Him in a deeper way. He wants you to treat Him closer. He doesn’t just want to be your God. He doesn’t just want to be Creator, the Alpha and the Omega, the Almighty to you. When you need Him the most, He wants to be Abba. When you are trying your best to be a great man, He wants to be Abba. When you’ve messed up over and over, He wants to be Abba. He wants to be Abba, denoting closeness, transparency, love, the One you can turn to and lean on, confide in, the One who’s always proud of you, and confidence. He is Papa now.

Prayer: Papa, I am no longer in bondage and I don’t have to be afraid. You are not only God now. You are Father, You are Papa. There is nothing in the way. I am Your beloved son. I have received Your Spirit of adoption and I can call You Papa. Help me be the man desire me to be Papa. Help me begin to walk with You in this way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ” (Galatians 4:7)

There’s No More Veil

April 14, 2017

“And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom. And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God” Mark 15:37-39, KJV.

The veil in the temple covered the holiest place where the ark of the covenant and God dwelt. The high priest once a year to offer a sacrifice for man’s sin. He had to be a holy man, living upright before the Lord. The veil was thick and dark, representing the barrier of sin that separated us from the Father. No one was able to go beyond the veil and have access the Father except him.

If you’ve received Jesus into your heart as your Savior, your great and mighty high priest who was without sin, gave his life once for all, and when he did, the veil was torn from top to bottom. There is no more barrier of sin between you and the Father. There’s no barrier between receiving His promises and an eternal inheritance. Because of what Jesus did, don’t allow what you have done to make you believe or feel anything else. Don’t make your own veil. The veil was forever torn and you are redeemed through Christ Jesus.

Tear any veil of guilt or unworthiness in your on life from top to bottom. You are right before God, free to walk with God, reach out to God, be empowered by Him, receive mercy, live in Him, call Him Father, with no condemnation. Because of Jesus, there’s no more veil.

Prayer: Thank You Father. Thank You for giving Jesus for all my sin and the veil is torn. Help me to tear any veils in my own life from top to bottom. I am righteous and I have access to the Father because of it. It’s a Good Friday! It’s good every day because of the price Jesus paid for me that I could not. I will live free in the Lord today. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

You will get through it together!

April 13, 2017

“One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother” Proverbs 18:24, NIV.

Hey brothers, we felt led to share a devotional with you from a woman’s perspective on how to get through hard times. we pray it blesses you.

……….

Many years ago after an argument, I told my husband, I’m leaving. I went to our closet and started packing a suitcase. He came over to me and said, “Where are you going?” I told him, “I’m leaving. I can’t take this anymore.” We had been struggling financially, and I was tired. As I stuffed everything in a suitcase, he looked at me and said, “We got in this mess together, and we’re getting out of it together.”

I unpacked.

The greatest relationships you admire all have their stories of how they made it through sickness, financial crisis, job layoffs, family issues, baby momma drama, loss of loved ones and the list goes on. These relationships have gone through the ups and downs of life, but they got through it together.

I’m thankful I unpacked my suitcase on that day because the good days are so much sweeter when you’re with the one who stuck with you through the bad days. If you’re single, here’s a nugget of wisdom. You want to marry someone who can handle tough times. If she doesn’t have a prayer life, that will be a problem in a storm. Her prayer life will be what keeps her together and will help her follow you as you lead the family.

The bottom-line is this. Let’s imitate Jesus. He’s with us when we’re up, and He’s right there when life comes crashing down. He’s not a fair-weather friend, only coming around when times are good. He sticks closer than a brother. Our crisis doesn’t scare Him because He knows the truth: No matter what we face, He will cause us to triumph in everything.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for never leaving my side. You have been faithful, the greatest friend I’ve ever known. Help me to be a good and faithful friend just like you. Help me not to abandon people I love when times get hard. Help me maintain the right perspective and trust you to bring good out of it all. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

See His Faithfulness

April 12, 2017

“Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24

The word “faithful” appears 28 times in the Old Testament and 50 times in the New Testament. We are living in a time when we are seeing God’s faithfulness like never before. He is faithful to His promises, faithful to His children, faithful to keeping His end of the covenant. If He is faithful, everything about Him is faithful also. You will never need Him and He not be there for you. He is very present help in time of need. You will never need provision and He not provide for you. He supplies all your need according to His riches in glory. You will never be in trouble and He not show you a way out. He is faithful to make a way out so that you can bear it. You will never lose something and He not cause you to experience it again. He is a faithful restorer. Don’t doubt His ability.

Maybe you were married to the best woman ever, but you lost her. Maybe you were blessed to have a great career, but somehow you lost the job. Maybe you had a successful organization, but somehow you lost it. You have seen what God can do in your life and you are wondering if He can ever do it again? Yes, God will do it again. He will show Himself to be faithful. What He has promised, He will do. Faithful is He that has called you, He will do it. Rather than looking at what you have lost, look at His faithfulness. Rather than looking at the problem, fix your eyes on the faithfulness of your God. If you can look forward with eyes of faith, you’ll see Him do great and wonderful things!

Prayer: Father God, You are mighty and You are great! Thank You for Your faithfulness toward me. Thank You for performing Your word toward me. I align my heart and mind with Your word. Thank You for doing it again for me and making everything in my life better than I could ever imagine. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Exalt the Lord above your circumstance!

April 11, 2017

“The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation be exalted.” Psalm 18:46, NKJV

He is the Most High God. All of His ways are perfect and there is no one like Him. He is holy and righteous. You are love, You are all-wise, You are my counsel, and my strength!

When you exalt the Lord, you lift God up above what you’re going through, and something powerful happens. As He is exalted, acknowledged and put in His proper seat of authority, everything else is put in it’s proper place, even you. He exalts you. He lifts you up, reminding you of who you are, that the devil is defeated and that you are seated together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

When you tell God what you see in Him, He will tell you what He sees in you. He will affirm that the same great God that you are exalting, lives on the inside of You. Because He can do it, you can do it. Because He has the victory, you have the victory. Because He reigns, you reign also.

Prayer: Father, You are great and there is no one like You! Your love is unfailing! You are all-powerful, all-wise, sovereign and You reign. I thank You that as I lift You up above my circumstance, You are lifting me up above it and I’m excited about the great God I serve. I am mighty in You. I am seated in heavenly places in Christ. Today, I exalt You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Move Beyond the Page

April 10, 2017

“Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?” Ecclesiastes 8:4, KJV

“For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.” 1 Cor. 4:20, KJV

One thing seen continually in scripture about God is that the Gospel came not only in word, but in power. He does not only tell you His Word, He performs it. He is a real God that provides real results.

His power goes beyond the page. For example, according to Philippians 4:13, we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us. This scripture goes beyond the page when you go to Him at any time, wherever you are in life, and you actually experience Him strengthen you. When you go to Him and receive power to do all the things He tells you to do, helping your weakness, helping your hope, helping your faith.

Move beyond the page and try Him. Try praying to Him and watch the power of prayer when you actually hear Him speak back to you–God actually moves and answers you. Try meditating on His word and watch it bring you a steady, constant peace in your mind. Try obeying God and watch Him actually reward You. Try doing good to others and watch yourself become more happier in life then you’ve ever been, for it is more of a blessing to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). In every area of your life, move beyond the page and experience the results of God. He desires you and I to experience Him, not just in word, but in power.

Prayer: Thank You Father for Your Word. You are King and You have power! Help me, by faith, move beyond the pages of Your Word and do what it says. You watch over it to perform it. As I apply what You tell me to do, how You tell me to live, how you tell me to love, I will experience the power of it in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You are the Church

April 9, 2017

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed” Luke 4:18, ESV.

These are not the days to be a believer that just goes to church. People are hurting and going through the deepest of situations. And with all that is happening around us, we have the answer. They need you and I to be the church. The same presence of God and power you experience at your church service, the same love you experience at your church service, is the same power and love that you carry everywhere you are. It is because Christ lives in you and you are the church. The kingdom of God is in you.

Don’t just go to church. Be the church. Be an extension of Jesus Christ. Be His hands and reach out. Be His feet and go to someone’s need. Be His heart and listen to someone’s situation to help deliver them. You are equipped with His Word and the Holy Spirit, anointed to be like Jesus. People may not come to your church, but nothing says you can’t take the church to them. Let His love, power, wisdom and authority flow through you. Offer pray to someone, ask them do they have a need and meet it, share the wisdom of God, be good to them like the Lord would, empower and build them up, set them free! You are the church!

Prayer: Father, thank You for making me the church. I see the church isn’t the four walls, but it is us Your people. Show me more how I can be the church wherever I am and with whoever I meet. If someone isn’t coming to church, give me the courage to take the church to them. Christ lives in me. The kingdom is in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Wake up–I have something to show you

April 8, 2017

“Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days” Psalm 90:14, ESV.

God just isn’t waking you up to give your time in prayer in the morning. He wants to show you His mercy. He wants to show you great things. He’s joyfully trying to get something you need into your hands. He’s waking you up to give you an idea, a vision, a new song, a business venture, a ministry idea, or a book. He’s waking you up to answer you. He is truly pursuing to answer our prayers and take us as men higher in everything in our lives, but as his people, we have to cooperate with Him.

There will be a reward for beginning your day with getting up and obeying Him. The morning is very quiet and you’ll find yourself hearing Him so clearly. He’ll show you more of Himself and great things clearly. You’ll hear Him talk to you about your family, ministry, business, and anything else that pertains to you clearly.

He is excited about the same things you are excited about in your life. He wants to position you to completely experience your calling. He wants to position you to spread the Gospel in the way He created you to do it. He wants to make your days successful. A key is to begin responding to Him calling you early in the morning. Make any adjustments you need to help you wake up. You’ll find how beneficial it will be for your day and for your life.

Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to me. I realize that it’s You nudging me to show me something. It can be hard to get up, but I ask for You to help me establish the discipline of waking up early to seek You when You call me. You are trying to answer my questions. You want to show me great things. You are trying to get me clear visions and ideas to prosper. You want to show us Your people more of You. I Thank You in advance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

April 7, 2017

“For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God]” 1 John 5:4, AMP.

Pray this with me: Father, I am not giving up on You. I am not giving up on Your Word and on Your promises. I am not giving up on You making me into the man You have called me to be. I am not giving up on your plan for me. I am determined to follow You all the way. No matter what is going on in this world, nothing will move my faith in You. I will continue to trust You! I will remain excited and encouraged! You didn’t quit on me and I am not quitting on You. I do believe. I pray for other men who feel like quitting right now and that You strengthen them to their core. I come against the devil tormenting them and I command peace. Minister to the root of their need Father. I will continue to put my faith in You. I give You all the praise and glory. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!

If you show up, He will show out.

April 6, 2017

“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him…” 2 Chronicles 16:9, KJV.

We went to the hospital yesterday to share Jesus and God’s love the sick. At first we visited and prayed for someone we knew to be healed from cancer. God’s presence and peace filled the room, and she very touched by our company. Afterwards, we went to some rooms nearby and offered prayer. One lady wasn’t talking well, but we prayed for her healing, cast out spirits and her relative said she is talking better, and could now understand what she is saying.

As we got in a packed elevator to leave, a family asked if we could pray for their relative. No one knew anybody, but we all, black and white, stepped out of the elevator, joined hands, powerfully prayed and we hugged each other. Then, moments later, two more women stopped us and asked for prayer. We thanked God for sharing His love and for moving in a mighty way.

God wants to move in the earth, and He is simply looking for a willing vessel, a willing heart, to show Himself strong through. Wherever you show up at, you carry Him with you. His love, His joy, His peace, His healing is in you. If you will decide to show up, show up at the hospital, the jail, someone’s home or any other place He tells you to go, He will show out.

Prayer: Father, people are hurting and in need of Jesus in these times. Help me to forget about everything that seems like it’s important, but really isn’t. It is all about Your kingdom Father. I listen now for what You want me to do. Help me to show up, so You can show out. If I will just show up, You will do the work. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What are you thankful for today?

April 3, 2017

“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place” 2 Corinthians 2:14, KJV.

What are you thankful for today? Who are you thankful for today? I can’t help but to be so thankful for the Lord being in my life and causing me to always triumph! I can’t help but to be thankful that when it appeared I was losing, He carried me to a glorious, undisputed victory! I can’t help but to be thankful to be alive and well, able to see my family and friends.

Moments like these gives you a glimpse of how everyday life should be.
Life should be lived with an utmost attitude of gratitude, seeing God in everything. There’s not a better way to live! There’s no better perspective on whatever we experience. When you are thankful, you make God known in the earth. When you are thankful, you will always be reminded of the goodness of God you’ve experienced, which will help you see God in every challenge that comes. Whether trouble in your life or you’ve suffered loss, you will always see God in it, see God is with you and be thankful.

Prayer: Father, thank You! You have done so much in my life! Thank You for every victory, every blessing, every gift, every family member, every instrumental person You’ve used to help me in life. I pray for those that don’t have their family, their husband, wife or child with them. It my be challenging and they may cry today, help them to see You through it all and be thankful. Arise, shine!

April 2, 2017

“Arise, shine; for your light has come! and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you”
Isaiah 60:1-2, ESV.

Of all the things you do this year, let the biggest be to arise and shine your light for the Lord. Every minute, every hour and every day. SHINE and let his presence be welcome in all your dealings, in all that you do.

When you stand firm in faith and your identity in Christ as a beloved son, you will be a guiding light for others who may have lost their way. In your light, which is Jesus himself, people will find comfort, hope, security, and inspiration. Even when you walk into a room, people will notice your light and that God is with you.

Feed the burning of your light with the word of God and abide in faith and prayer. The glory of God, His goodness and greatness, is risen upon your life and now is the time to arise! Now is the time to fully yield to being who God created you to be. Now is the time to shine.

Prayer: Father, I’m pressing into You. I’m basking in Your light until it becomes mine. Lord make me stronger and abide with me as my heart speaks to you. Direct my steps and give me courage to speak of the good news to anyone who would listen, because the time of Your return is upon us Jesus. Thank you for your sacrifice so powerful even until this day. From this moment onward I deny myself as I follow you. May I become less as you are glorified within me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!

The devil’s mad!

April 1, 2017

“That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith, And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” Galatians 3:13, 29, KJV.

“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it” Proverbs 10:22, KJV.

The devil is mad! You’re so blessed! He’s mad because you are greatly favored by God. He can’t stop the plans that God has for you. God’s hand is mighty on your life and no matter what he tries, you always rise. He is straining and pushing on the blessing to get off of you, but he sees it won’t budge. He ends up saying, “Man, nothing works on him.” The blessing sits on you like a rock that can’t be moved.

Even the mistakes you’ve made, God worked them out to benefit you. He turns situations around and gets more glory from it than you could conceive were ever possible. His mercy endures forever and you witness it time and time again! You can’t be stopped. Why? Because the blessing of the Lord is upon you!

So let the devil talk. He can’t move the blessing and don’t you move from trusting in it. Rather let it encourage your faith and rejoice over the Lord Who covers you and favors you! Continue to make him mad! Rejoice for His goodness, grace and mercy. Rejoice over His counsel that fails not. You have been blessed and there’s nothing the devil can do about it.

Prayer: Thank You Father for the blessing that is on my life. Who cares if the devil is mad! I make him even more upset right now. Hallelujah! Thank You the Lord! Thank You for the love and favor You show me! Thank You for Your great mercy toward me! Your hand is on my life! I am blessed and I will receive all the plans You have for me. I rejoice in You! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Living in God

March 31, 2017

“I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” John 17:15-16, NKJV

It would be great if we weren’t in the world, but we are. It would be great if all we had to do was wake up and walk with God, yet we have a daily life. I have asked myself how do I live in God, yet live in the world at the same time? As a man, I have so many work demands and pulls, so many daily things to do. Yet, I have a relationship with God to maintain, while having to live in this world. How do I do it?

Jesus was not of this world, this “cosmos” or system, so he didn’t live according to it, nor was he bound by it. So He lived according to another system, the kingdom of God, a system based on abiding in God. Therefore, He would wake up and walk with God. As He walked with God, the Father governed His life. He told Him what to do, how to do it, when to do it, where to go, and when to rest. When you manage your relationship with God, He will manage your life. He will tell you what His will is, how to do your job, when to do those plans he put in your heart, minister to your family, where to go. Along with His will, He will provide the grace to carry it out.

Prayer: Thank You Father that I am not of this world. You are all that I need. I truly can abide in You, while in the world. You are my strength, wisdom, and guide. Help me to do what I would do in Heaven–I would just wake up and walk with You and trust You will govern my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Clear View

March 30, 2017

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2

One morning when I woke up, I tried to look at the time, but a glass cup was in the way. I tried to see the numbers on the clock, but they were blurred by an obstacle. God spoke to me and said there are many who can’t see Me and My plans because they’re vision is blurred by obstacles. It took nothing for me to pick up the cup and move it out of my way.

God wants us to see His heart and see His plans for our lives, but we have to lay aside, push aside and move from our way every obstacle and every weight. I speak clear vision over your life right now in Jesus name!! A clear view! Nothing distorted and blurred! See God in His glory. See people with right eyes. Move the obstacle so you can see yourself right and respond right to the situations in your life.

Prayers: Father God, thank You for Your encouragement. I receive these words and I ask you to help me. Help me to move out of my way any sin and any obstacle that is causing me to not see things properly. Work in me Lord and help me to have a clear view. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The best wisdom for a young man

March 29, 2017

“…I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. 1 John 2:14, KJV.

With being young, the best discipline and wisdom is to develop early a love for the Word of God. When you develop a love for His Word, you will develop a love for Him. It will result in you being strong in your faith. It will help you put your trust in your Heavenly Father no matter what you face. It will set every area of your life on the right course early, which you will see its’ benefits now and as you get older.

When you establish your life according to it, you can’t help but to experience a blessed life in your younger years. Your testimony won’t be you had several trials and hardships before you turned to Him. Yes, God can and will work all those things for your good because you love Him, yet your life can be a whole lot smoother with having a good understanding on how to make right choices and how to overcome (see Romans 8:28). This is what His Word does. It will act as a light and a lamp to help you see which way to go. It is the foundation of wisdom for all things, the guide for all things and sets you on a path of righteousness and His good success.

Prayer: Father, thank You for encouraging me to gain a love for Your Word. It is the key to experiencing everything You have planned for my life. It is the key to overcoming anything I face and making right choices. HI ask to give me a strong love for Your Word and applying it while I’m young. I thank You for good success now and when I get older. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It’s Time to Lead

March 28, 2017

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you” Deuteronomy 31:6, NIV.

Just as Joshua was called to lead, we are called to lead. God has placed a portion of His flock under our care and calls us to disciple them and lead them to His Kingdom. Jesus is our guide, our forever help and comfort. Just as He called Joshua to be strong and courageous; you are being called to be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid! Do not fear this world, do not fear your circumstances! Have faith and trust Him. Your God is with you! Just as He was with Moses and Joshua, He is with you now!

Be strong and courageous!

Lead your family. Lead your friends. Lead your co-worker and your neighbor. It is time to push those fears aside and be the leader God has called you to be! If you don’t lead them, who will? As God leads you, you must tend to those He has entrusted to you. The time is now, not tomorrow or next week—it’s time to lead today!

Prayer: My Heavenly Father, thank you for reminding me that you have a plan and a purpose for me and all of your people. Thank you, Lord, for calling me out of my fears and instructing me to lead. Thank you for the strength to speak out. Help me lead those you have placed in my care. I know time is short; there’s no time to waste. Help me be the leader you’ve called me to be. In Jesus name, Amen!

Too Blessed to be Stressed at Work

March 27, 2017

“The good person is generous and lends lavishly; no shuffling or stumbling around for this one, but a sterling and solid and lasting reputation. Unfazed by rumor and gossip, heart ready, trusting in God, spirit firm, unperturbed, ever blessed, relaxed among enemies” Psalm 112:6-7, The Message Bible.

It can be stressful when I consider the demands at work. There are stressors at work with performance, promotion pursuits, job security, and when there are production goals to meet. Yet, my manager doesn’t bring stress toward us, nor does he create a stressful environment. He says we like to have good time while we work. He says to do what you can. He says if you make a mistake, don’t sweat it because it can be fixed. He also says life is too short. If you need to spend time with your family, he says don’t worry about overtime, because your family is most important above all.

The people you work with may be stressed, afraid, anxious, impatient, and worried about all of the above. Yet, your heavenly Father says don’t you be that way. Don’t stress out over your job or your pursuit for promotion–He is the One that holds every outcome in your life, not man. Don’t worry if you make a mistake because He will fix it. Have a good time at work and enjoy your life.

He says for all your demands, give them to Me. He says do what you can, do what’s right and trust Me with the rest, but don’t live heavy like that at your job. He says keeps your eyes on what is most important in life, which is not a company or business, but on Him, on your family and on kingdom work. Put it in God’s hands in prayer as things arise and worry about nothing. Leave your job at its’ address. You are too blessed to be stressed!

Prayer: Father, I give You praise this morning! Thank You for Your truth that has removed the heaviness of stress from me. You are right Lord! Life is short and I choose not to stress this stuff. I am too blessed to be stressed at work. I will do my best as unto You, and let You handle every outcome. Have a good time at work and enjoy your life. May my attitude of trust in You, impact those around me too. In Jesus’ name Amen!

Handling Pressure

March 26, 2017

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33, NKJV

There is something about how pressure can bring out the best in us, yet it can also bring out the worst in us. This can be speaking hurtful things to your wife when you both disagree. This can be anger when finances are low and we don’t know how we will pay our bills. This can be the temptation to quit our jobs when faced with the great demands of it.

When you see the worst, address it. Recognize that you need some understanding, or something to stand on, when faced with the stresses and pressures of life. Let God’s word push those tendencies right out of you, speak to your deeper need, and give you faith-filled, love-filled responses.

The more you put His word into your heart regarding that area, the more you will hear Him and trust Him, in the moment, when He says be of good cheer–He has already overcome for you. The more you will be patient in the moment. The more you will follow Him in the moment and do it. His word will truly change you into a man when under pressure, the best comes out of you.

Prayer: Father, You know what we have need of. You know my inward struggles with certain areas in my life and when pressure comes, I lose it. Fix me Lord. I don’t want to always react like this. I will put Your word in my heart so I can respond like You. Greater is Jesus Who is in me, than he that is in the world. Through You and your word, I will have faith when the pressure comes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Stand By Those You Love

March 25, 2017

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.” Ecclesiastes 4:9

In every home the enemy is seeking to divide and conquer. He is busy trying to cause people to stand against each other instead of with each other. If we don’t know how he operates, we will let him turn a small problem into a really big issue.

Hear God’s wisdom today. Don’t give room to the devil. Stand by those you love. Yes, they may have flaws, but so do you. Work through issues and let nothing and no one divide you and cause you to stand on opposite sides of each other. You are stronger together than you are apart.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your wisdom. I pray for everyone in my home, that You will comfort and strengthen us like only you can. Help us to work through problems together. I plead the blood of Jesus over my family. I bind the enemy and put him under my feet. He will not divide and conquer my home. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

More than Conquerors

March 24, 2017

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” Romans 8:37, NIV.

After obtaining victory over his enemies, famous Roman General Julius Caesar, penned these words; “We Came, We Saw, We Conquered.” The popular phrase signifies Caesar and his army’s ability to triumph in war through strategic and forceful combat. For many believers, this same approach is applied, whether engaged in spiritual warfare or challenges in everyday life. However, God’s Word tells us that we are not only victorious over every battle we may confront, but that we are “more than conquerors.” This means that by the authority of Jesus Christ, we can speak our victory. We can live our victory and not even bust a sweat. We don’t have to exhaust ourselves mentally, physically or spiritually to obtain something we have already been given.

Remember, it was David, a young shepherd boy, armed with the Word of God and a Pebble that defeated the giant Goliath. It was obedience, praise and worship that caused Jehoshaphat’s enemies to kill themselves on the battlefield. God has armed us with something much more powerful than any weaponry or strategy our enemy devises against us. We have God’s Word and the mighty name of Jesus sealed upon every prayer we speak, causing the enemy to tremble and the power of God to move on our behalf. No matter what you are facing today, remember; Jesus Came, Jesus Saw, and Jesus Conquered to keep us from fighting a battle he already won for us.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for the victory I find in you. You have assured me through your Word that I can rest in your comforting arms whenever times are challenging. You have already made provisions for me in every circumstance I face. I believe that everything will work out for my good and you will get the glory through my enemies. You are my provider and my protector and you will never leave or forsake me. Thank you for your perfect love and the strength you give me every day. Continue to grow my faith and help me to have patience and peace as you carry me through.
In Jesus Name I pray, Amen

Out of the abundance of your heart.

March 23, 2017

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” Luke 6:45, NKJV

We truly have what we say, and out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Your heart is full of something and whatever you fill your heart with, that is what you will find yourself, intentionally or unintentionally, talking about. If you find yourself complaining about where you are on your job, saying you will always be struggling with this or that, saying that you will always be broke, saying you’re tired of living, saying you’re not qualified, or you can’t do this, then that is what your heart is full of.

Fill your heart with what God says. He says He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). He says He’ll supply all your need (Philippians 4:19). This is the key to your joy. This is the key to endurance. This is the key to you not quitting because when pressure comes, your abundance of what God says will come out of you. When fear says you can’t do it, God’s Word will respond and say yes He will! God’s Word will turn your heart into a believing machine, your speech will change and what you produce in your life will change too.

Prayer: Thank You Father for Your Word, which You have supplied in abundance. As a man, I know how to eat physically in abundance, however, help me to eat spiritually in abundance too. Overhaul anything evil in my heart and change what I speak and what I believe. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

No Weapon Formed Against You Shall Prosper!

March 22, 2017

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 54:17

In these times, there are weapons being formed against God and His people, but they won’t work, and God will not allow them to. You are God’s weapon in the earth, formed in His image and likeness, formed to work, formed to advance, formed to prosper instead. In the heat your battle, whatever you are remaining in faith to obtain, while you are so close to the finish line, God will surely prosper you.

Stay vigilant to follow His leading. You will have what He promised you. His Word, His ways and His plan works. Don’t be derailed and abort your faith because you have encountered a real fight, because surely Your God will not fail you. You have a heritage of victory from God. Victory runs in His family, and He will dominate for His sons, as He did through Jesus!

Confession: I thank You Lord for the victory I already have through Jesus Christ, and no weapon formed against me shall prosper or advance in my life. You will for me will prosper instead. Your Word will prosper instead. Your plan and Your leading works. I will prosper! I can do what You say I can do. I will dominate, not the weapon. I have a heritage of winning. This is my life-long portion. I thank You right now for it coming to pass! Hallelujah!

Unafraid

March 21, 2017

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9, NKJV

Three times God told Joshua to be of good courage and to not be afraid. That is the same thing God is saying to you. Don’t be afraid of your circumstance because He will deliver you. Don’t be afraid of where He is taking You because He is with You. Fear will keep us in the same place and we don’t find ourselves experiencing anything new in life.

Fear will cause you to accept being comfortable where you are, instead of being excited about where you are going. It will tell you that you can’t do great things, so you have to settle for what you have. Like Joshua, your promise land is ahead and only be of good courage. Go get what God says is yours. God is commanding you to go get your blessing! Go get what He has for you. Keep God’s word before you and do it, because it will be the key to your success.

Prayer: Father, you have told me to not be afraid, but be of good courage. I can do what You are instructing me to do. It is time to enter into what You have for my life and I will be unafraid. Through You, I can do it! I am designed and equipped to do what You have called me to do. I will go forward and possess the land you have for me. Help me keep Your word before me, and I thank You for it bringing me good success. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Personal Computer

March 20, 2017

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2, NIV

If you ever have dealt with computers, you know that once in a while it needs to be cleaned, non-applicable temp files and folders needs to be removed and a general check for unnecessary data is needed regularly. This is what happens to us when we decide to give our lives to Jesus. We need to clear out trash, empty temp folders, add virus detection and in some difficult cases, and just format the whole thing.

Even though computers are nothing compared to God’s precious gift, there are still a lot of similarities. We need to teach our brain new ways of thinking and reacting and we need to get rid of unnecessary baggage and infected files. This is not an easy task or a speedy one either, but essential for us to be able to continue on the faith path. Studying the Bible, praying, worship, Christian support groups and friends will gradually learn our brain on how to live this new life. The Holy Spirit is crucial in renewing our minds, He is the one who will do it in cooperation with us. All we need to do is ask Him.

Prayer: Lord, please help me in the renew my mind, so that I can grow up in my faith to be a mature spiritually. Thank you for not leaving me alone with this task, but help me day after day and lead me through Your Word. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

When you’ve lost a loved one

March 19, 2017

“Jesus wept. Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!” John 11:35-36, NKJV.

When Lazarus died, Jesus wept. Yes, He was all God, yet He was a man. He was human and He was touched with the same emotions we feel when we experience a loss of a loved one. So Jesus knows how it feels to not have someone close to you there anymore.

Be encouraged today if you are a man that has lost someone close to you. The truth is they aren’t here anymore and you greatly miss them. Those holiday celebrations, the vacations, those date nights you would have with her, the good friend you wonder why he had to leave, the father and daughter dances you remember having with her, the son you didn’t get to see do certain things in life, the mother you always called and checked on, the father that taught you how to fish, or the father that you never got to meet at all. Whether it is your mom, father, brother, sister, or friend, God knows and He cares what you are going through. We don’t know why, but He does; He loves you and them, and He has a master plan that we all can put our trust in.

Some of us as men are quietly weeping and Jesus wants you know you don’t have to weep that way. It’s okay to weep outwardly. It’s being a man to show this side outwardly and to not keep it suppressed inside. Jesus wept, even others saw His great love, and so can you. Open up to Him because God wants to minister to your pain so you can truly live and weep no more.

Prayer: Father, why? Why did they have to leave? I miss them Lord. I greatly miss them. I am a man broken and I need You to help me through this. I weep before You. Help me to weep because it’s okay to do it, even in front of people, I’ll let it out so You can help me go on. I feel You comforting me now. I will see them again and I thank You for that. Wipe my tears Father. I put my hope and trust in You. Help other men get through the same thing as well. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You must decrease, so He can increase.

March 18, 2017

“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure” Philippians 2:13, NKJV.

“He must increase, but I must decrease” John 3:30, NKJV.

It can be difficult to move yourself from being head of your own life. What do you do when you find your will is not God’s will? What do you do when God is asking you to do something that is a challenge for you to do? You know you need to humble yourself and submit to it, but it is difficult to submit your will and desires to His. The very will and ability to do what pleases Him, actually comes from Him.

Jesus had the hardest battle of His life to get on the cross, yet it yielded the greatest results, the greatest impact, the greatest blessing in His life. What He knew He could not do, or even wanted to do, He set Himself in prayer to decrease, so the grace of God, the power of God could increase. The more you decrease and decrease, the more He can increase and increase, birthing the results you are looking for.

There are things that we just flat out don’t want to do. Whether it is obeying God, being a humble man, walking in His love, loving our wives to the degree of how Christ loved the church, fasting, giving, or shifting our top priority to the things of God, all are aspects of your christian walk. In spite of how tough it may seem, it can all be accomplished as you go before God and decrease. It is the key to every victory, every inward fight. He will work in you what you can’t do, what you can’t manufacturer– the will and the ability to do His good pleasure.

Prayer: Father, help me. I decrease. Only You can work in me the desire and the ability to do what pleases You. I humble myself and I decrease, so You can increase in my life, so Your Spirit can lead me. Give me the strength to love, forgive, obey You, even accept what You say about me and what I can do. Increase Lord and birth the greatest results in my walk with You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Real Man Cries

March 17, 2017

“Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong” 2 Corinthians 12:10, KJV.

There is nothing wrong with a man crying. I have wept before my wife. I have had moments where I have wept before God. I poured out my heart to Him desiring a change in me that I knew I needed, yet I could not explain.

A real man cries when he realizes he needs real change. We cry when we become tired of pretending as if we have it all together; yet, we don’t have the slightest idea of what we’re doing or where we’re going. You may not want to appear weak, but your weakness and brokenness is required for God to do what’s needed in your life. Quit running. Stop and cry before your Father. Lay before Him and allow Him to take your heaviness and pain, for His peace. Crying will refresh you as you release it over to Him. When you are weak, you are made strong in Christ.

You are a real man with real needs, and you serve a real God. Let Him create in you a clean heart and renew you. God will give you His strength, and you will know you can go on now. You will know that through Him, you can do this. You were built for this. Be a real man and cry.

Prayer: I am without words before You Father. I am at the end of myself and I need You. I can’t change myself. I can’t do this on my own. I try to appear so strong, but I am so weak. I pour out my heart before You and ask You to do in my life what only You can do. Reach deep within me and repair me. Fill me where I lack. Touch my desires and bring permanent change in me. I thank You for moving in my life. Help me do what You have called me to do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Destiny Decisions

March 16, 2017

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5, NKJV

“Where are we going?” I have had my wife ask me this question numerous of times. To be honest as a man, my response was, “I don’t know.” I just didn’t know. I didn’t know what God wanted from me. I didn’t have a plan. I didn’t know my purpose. I didn’t know what it was time to do.

Have you ever been there? Are you there right now? If you are, it’s okay. Every man of God has been at that juncture in their lives in which they have had to make destiny decisions. These are the decisions that can take your life into two totally different directions, such as starting a ministry, job position, relocating or who you marry.

Where you are going is important right now. It is important enough to sincerely seek God and ask Him for what you need. To hear someone better, we get closer to them. Give God your “I don’t know” and he will exchange it for what He knows. He is able to give you the exact wisdom you need for your life. He will provide His vision for you. He will tell you who you are, where you are going, and step-by-step how to get there.

Prayer: Father, You have called me and You know me. I need You. I don’t know where I m going and the steps to get there. I sincerely ask for Your direction for my life. I need vision and I need to know my purpose. I trust You and I set myself to hear Your voice. I praise You in advance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

When You Are Full, Don’t Forget God

March 15, 2017

“Who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do you good in the end.” Deuteronomy 8:16, NKJV

You know that minimum wage job you had to take? It was to prove and humble you. You know that small apartment that you could barely fit your family in? It was to prove and humble you. You know when your business was bringing in just enough to cover each expense? It was to prove and humble you.

God allows these things to test what we are made of and to do us good. When you have been proven and tested, yes, you know you can do anything with the wealth He puts in your hands, however, you don’t forget God. You remember it was Him that kept you going, He paid the bill just in time, He gave you the wisdom, He sent the help you needed, and He kept the family happy while you got your stuff together as a man. You remember that He did it, not yourself.

Increase is coming, but remember once you have eaten and are full, don’t forget God. The man that remembers God, He will continue to bless.

Prayer: Father, I won’t forget You. I receive any proving and humbling you are creating in me now with my current situation. You are God and I am not. Have Your way in me, which is for good in my later end. So whether I have little or when I am full, I will never forget and continually serve You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank God For What You’ve Been Through

March 14, 2017

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28, KJV

Do you love God? Are you called according to His purpose? If so, you can know that all things will work for your good. It may not appear like it, but every piece of the puzzle will come together for a bigger and glorious picture. From every single experience, every trial, every hurdle, every test that you’ve faced, God will make sure you experience every single promise of blessing.

So don’t live in regret. Don’t live in the “what if’s” of the past. Move forward and watch the plan of God unfold. God has established He will make it work for you, not against you, and no one can stop Him from doing so. Nothing you’ve been through can derail God’s plan for your life. Whatever you’ve been through, you will be better, stronger and wiser. God is good. He will set you in victorious places and blessings, just as if you didn’t go through anything at all. So be encouraged today.

Confession: I am thankful that all things are working together for my good. I thank God for what I’ve been through. I love God and He is good. I will not forget all that He has done and all that He is doing for me. I will not live my life full of regret, guilt or condemnation. I will keep moving forward into His promises! Thank You that Your plan is in front of me and will unfold right before my eyes. I am encouraged today. Thank You Lord! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Are you willing to let her go?

March 13, 2017

“Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead” Philippians 3:13, ESV.

While holding onto a woman that I had met in college, God asked me these words while attending a Bible Study. He said, “Are you willing to let her go to follow Me?” He was saying seek after Me and I want you to receive what I have for you. I responded, “yes”. She was a good woman, but she wasn’t God’s best for me. I had to make a decision and once I let her go, I met my wife months later. I knew that there was something different about her and felt God telling me “This is what I have for you.” What a blessing it is to receive into your life God’s best, but I first had to let go of what I had.

If you’re waiting for the right woman to come into your life that you’ve been praying for God to bless you with, ask yourself if whether you’re still holding on to someone else. You won’t be able to receive the one God has for you until you first let her go. Let go and position yourself spiritually, physically, mentally, and financially for your future wife.

Prayer: Father God, You know what’s best for me. If the person I’m with right now is not the woman I’m to marry, show me how to let her go and position myself for who You have for me. Break every soul tie and grow me up. Prosper my heart and prosper me financially so I can be prepared to take care of my future wife and children. In Jesus name, Amen.

What is true worship?

March 12, 2017

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24, NKJV.

A lot of times when we think about what worship is, we think of it as physically bowing down on our knees and laying prostrate to someone. Yet, true worship is reverence to God by bowing down in our hearts and walking according to His truth. We exalt God not only by lifting our hands, but we lift up our life. It extends beyond a Wednesday or Sunday service. It’s a daily service, and our lives give honor to Him as Creator and He is the only One that we serve.

As Satan did with Jesus, he will offer you the world for your priceless true worship. He wants you to bow down to him and what this world can give. Yet, tell Satan to get behind you! God says there should be no other gods before Me and only Him will you serve. There will be nothing or no one, no car, no money, no woman, no fame, that you will put before the Almighty God that saved you and redeemed you. The God that has been good to you and is bringing you into an awesome place in your life.

Receive the charge as a man to truly worship the Father in this hour. God is seeking such to worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Prayer: Father, thank You for defining worship to me and help me to always worship You. Help me to recognize if I have exalted anything in my life to worship instead of You. I will not worship no one or nothing else. You are God and God alone, Jesus is King. I will serve You only and keep You first in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” Matthew 4:9-10, NKJV.

Settle down in your calling.

March 11, 2017

“Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all” 1 Timothy 4:14-15, NKJV.

Timothy was a young man, and he was about to embark on being a pastor. The Apostle Paul knew the gift that was passed down to him. He knew the calling on his life. It was now time for Timothy to receive it and walk in it. It wasn’t time to be doing a lot of different things, but to give himself and settle down into his ultimate calling from God.

It’s time to receive and settle down into your calling and purpose. As men, we can find ourselves having many projects, but no evident progress. We can be like a mechanic, working on ten different cars in the shop, but none of them are running well. Receive what your purpose is, and go hard after that. Give yourself wholly to that, and then you will see great progress, the grace of God, the blessings, the favor, and the power that the Father has preordained for you to walk in.

Some pursuits may be a good thing, but not a God thing. You aren’t called to do it all my brother. Timothy had to settle down in his calling and run his course. So do you.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word and I know You have called me to do a mighty work in these times. Give me clarity on what my calling and purpose is, and let go of what I don’t need to be doing. I ask for the courage and faith to settle down in my calling and run hard my course with an action plan from You. I praise You for the evident progress as I give myself wholly to it. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Know Your Season

March 10, 2017

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” Ecclesiastes 3:1, KJV.

“Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit” Leviticus 26:4, KJV
.
Just as there are seasons with the weather, there is a season for everything, and it is important to know what season you are in for your life. I have personally recognized this year is a season of learning, launching and great reward for me. What season are you in? What is the Lord telling you it’s time for?

If it’s your season to sow, then sow well. If it is your season to reap, then make the most of your harvest. If you are in a time of learning, then set yourself apart for really getting deeper into God’s Word. If your season is due for financial increase, move forward and get what God has said is yours to possess. If it is your time to step out and launch your ministry, then take the leap. When God opens those doors, run through them boldly.

Whatever time you are in, make it count. You don’t want to miss what God has in store for you. Whatever season you are in, God is giving you an abundance of grace like rain in that season to accomplish whatever it is that He has told you to do. He is going to blow your mind at all the blessings that will come from identifying the time and obeying Him.

Know this: If God told you to do it. It. Will. Work! You only need to know your season.

Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to me today. It is awesome to know my season. Help me to identify my season. What is it time for me to do right now? As the man of my home, I ask for you to show me so I can lead my family into everything You have for us. I thank You for Your grace, which is able to empower me to maximize this mighty season in my life. I thank You for the best in me continues to break forth! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Don’t Let Go of His Promises

March 9, 2017

“And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises” Hebrews 6:11-12, NKJV.

If I know something is mine. If I know something is meant for me, I am not letting go of it.

Though the winds may blow. Though you may be pressing through some things. You may be waiting on a job, on a mate or in pursuit of God’s will for your life. You may be believing God to make a way for you. You may even feel like giving up, but hold up your head and be deeply encouraged. Don’t let go of what He promised you. Don’t give up on His awesome will for you. Don’t let go of what He has specifically spoken to you.

Every promise from God is yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20), and don’t allow anyone or anything to convince you otherwise. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. Jesus didn’t let go. Follow His diligence to press forward through the challenges of life. He stood on God’s Word, listened to the Holy Spirit, and received what the Father promised Him. Now lean on Him, listen to the Holy Spirit, and keep believing. Keep praising. Keep joyfully standing.

The Father has promised great things for you. Don’t let go.

Prayer: Father, I really needed this. Thank You for encouraging me deep down. I’m not letting go. I will not let go of what You promised me. You will provide. You will help me do this. Every promise I will receive. Jesus I lean on You right now and I follow You. I receive Your grace now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Are You Hungry To Finish?

March 8, 2017

“In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” John 4:31, 34

Jesus was hungry for the will of God and to finish His work, that he deemed it more vital than food itself. It was his meat. His life’s focus was upon the will of God being completed. Now is the time to hunger for His will.

Are you hungry to finish? Is completing the work of God your highest goal? Show me a hungry person, and I’ll show you a champion. Do not be satisfied with just doing God’s will, but also finishing God’s work that He has given you. You have a job to do. You are on an assignment by God. It should drive you and fulfill you more than spending your time doing anything else. Decide nothing is going to satisfy like accomplishing His will for your life. There is reward and great joy ahead!

Prayer: Father, thank You for choosing me and giving me purpose. I am honored and humbled You have called me to a work. Reveal it even more to me. I ask for a greater hunger to not only start, but finish. Help me be centered and focused on finishing. Like Jesus, my meat is to do my Father’s will and to finish this good work in my hands. I thank God for the grace, the wisdom, and the counsel to do it. I receive the strength, joy and courage to finish. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

God Will Make a Way

March 7, 2017

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19

The Lord promises His people that He will always make a way. Just because you don’t see how it will be done, doesn’t mean He can’t and won’t do it for you. You may be in the last hour, running out of time, wondering how and when God is going to come through like He said He would. Sometimes, it can be tough waiting on the Lord. But He always comes through.

He always comes through, if you wait.

He says in His Word, “The trying of our faith produces patience” (see James 1:3). Maybe your faith in God is being tried and you are having to trust and depend on Him like never before, but God says, He will make a way out of no way for you. Stay vigilant. Stay persistent. Stay in faith. Look for His way out like you’re looking for lost keys. Saying to yourself, I know it has to be here somewhere! And, it is. Don’t lean to your own understanding and get out of uncomfortable situations too early. Wait on God. You will see Him do the impossible for you. You will see His favor for you. And the next time you face a problem of gigantic proportion, you will look back and say, “If He came through for me yesterday, He will come through today, and tomorrow and the next day.”

He is the same yesterday, today and forever (see Hebrews 13:8)!

Prayer: Father, you are good and faithful. Even when we put our own selves in troubling situations, you know how to make a way out of no way for us. Thank you! Help us to trust you more. Help our faith in you to deepen. Even when situations don’t feel good or look good, you are good and you are faithful. Show us your way out and help us not to lean on our own understanding. Be glorified in our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Continual Feast

March 6, 2017

“The cheerful heart has a continual feast” (Proverbs 15:15, NIV).

Joy is strength (Nehemiah 8:10) and joy is good medicine (Proverbs 17:22). Now we read that a joyful, cheerful heart is like enjoying a continual feast. It sure sounds like joy is a prescription for good health.

I think the picture here is when the heart is overflowing with joy, everything in life is a cause for celebration—like having a great feast.

Often in Scripture, the picture of a feast is a picture of celebration. In the passage in Nehemiah we studied before where Nehemiah talked about joy being strength, he also told the people to “go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. Then all the people went away to eat and drink” (Nehemiah 8:10, 12). David wrote in his well-loved psalm, “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows” (Psalm 23:5). Jesus compared the call of salvation in Him to being invited to a great banquet (Matthew 22:1–14).

The picture of such celebration means the ability to look at a rainy day and a sunny day and find the celebration in both. It’s taking the difficult times and being willing to continually inwardly smile at what God is doing, the feast He is preparing.

A continual feast means there’s always a party going on in the heart. It’s knowing that at the end of a tough time, a celebration is brewing—anticipating it almost as if it is already there.

A continual feast—always overflowing with good things and living life with not just a glass half full attitude but with an attitude overflowing with joy.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I admit that I need joy today. I feel a little overwhelmed. Give me a sense of Your perspective. As I walk through what I am facing today, give me the ability to look forward to the coming celebration! Help me overflow with joy. Help me overflow with You!

Go with His Plan

March 5, 2017

“Listen to me, my fellow Israelites, my people. I had it in my heart to build a house as a place of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, for the footstool of our God, and I made plans to build it. But God said to me, ‘You are not to build a house for my Name, because you are a warrior and have shed blood.’ “Yet the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me from my whole family to be king over Israel forever…” 1 Chronicles 28:2-4, NIV.

One morning I woke up already moving forward with a plan and what I thought I needed to do. Yet, as I sought God, as I wen…t to Him about one thing, He showed me another. He revealed to me this is actually My plan and He took me in a totally different direction than I expected. I said okay God, I understand, and I will go in that direction instead.

Sometimes, if not careful, we can go ahead of God into something with our own preconceived plan, when we need to have an open heart for whatever He wants to do. As with David, God may have something totally different in mind. What He desires, He graces you for, He backs it, it will stand, and you will be powerfully blessed in it

Even in the beginning in Genesis 1:31, everything God made, He said it was very good. His plan for you is very good. He will have something much better, more glorious, more rewarding than you could ever imagine. Yet, it begins first with acknowledging and inquiring about His plan for you. Don’t approach the day, don’t go into this season in your life with your own plan, ask God for His. Once He reveals it, once you see it, then humbly go with it.

Prayer: Father, I stop for a moment and acknowledge You. What do You want and what is Your plan for me today? Help me not to have a preconceived plan. I give You room for whatever You want. I want Your plan and it’s very good. Each day, help me to flow with how You lead me. I thank You Lord. In Jesus, name, Amen

Do It Anyway

March 4, 2017

“Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. Jesus said, “Take away the stone.”

Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.” Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” John 11:38-40, NKJV.

Lazarus was dead for four days, which according to Jewish belief then, that was beyond the three days time the spirit of a man was in the midst of their body. He also began to smell. Even Martha believed that Lazarus was beyond dead and could not be revived. Yet, Jesus commanded them to roll away the stone. It took an act of their faith to do it, but they did it anyway.

Although your situation may seem beyond repair and beyond being revived, whatever God is commanding you to do, do it anyway. Just as it didn’t make since to remove the stone from Lazarus’ tomb, it may not make sense to do what He is telling you to do. Know that just as He was setting them up from a miracle, God is setting you up for a miracle to happen in your life.

Don’t lean to your own understanding. Do what God is asking you to do regarding your family, your ministry, your business, and your finances. Do it anyway, because He is about to do a miracle in your life.

Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to me and encouraging my faith right now. Help me to not lean to my own understanding and to trust You. At the command of You Jesus, I will do it anway. I will see the glory of God. I believe a miracle is about to take place in my life. I thank You now. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!

Let Him Reign!

March 3, 2017

“Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the Lord his God. Therefore he said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and make walls around them, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us, because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered” 2 Chronicles 14:1 & 7, NKJV.

Early in his kingship, king Asa understood although he was king on the earth, God was King over all. He reigned, yet the Lord reigns over him. He depended on the Lord and followed Him. Because He allowed God to reign, king Asa had no war for 36 years and had rest on every side. However, he turned away later in his life, didn’t depend on God, and from that point forward, he had wars as king.

Never forget that although you have a life, the Lord reigns. Keep Him as God and no one else. Humbly depend on and follow Him. Do what is good in His eyes. When He reigns, His peace will reign in your life. When He reigns, His success will always be established and you will have rest on every side. You will always find yourself increase and rise above every circumstance.

You have been sitted in heavenly places with Christ Jesus. and nothing will keep you from dominating over your adversary the devil. You will reign because the Lord remains exalted, held high above everything in your life.

Prayer: Father, I tell You this morning that You reign! Nothing will be exalted in my life above You, not even myself. Keep this under-standing before me as long as I live, that You are King and to let You continually reign. Help me to always do what is good and right in your eyes. I thank You for rest on every side. Since Jesus reigns, I reign also. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!

Divine order brings divine peace.

March 2, 2017

“Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” Psalm 119:165

Divine order brings divine peace into your life. What is divine order? It is when everything is put in it’s rightful place: God, you, and your adversary. Divine order takes place…

1. When God is sitting on the throne of your heart.

Picture your heart has a throne. Who is sitting there? Is it God, you, or something else? Anytime we feel we know better than God, and can do a better job than He can, we are attempting to sit on the throne of our hearts. It’s time to get up and let God sit there (see Proverbs 31:30).

2. When you acknowledge you are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

The enemy works overtime to get you to doubt who you are in Christ and who God is in you. He accuses you 24/7 of every wrong you’ve ever done to get you from your position in Christ. Receive the truth that you belong to God and are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. This places you in a seat of spiritual authority (see Ephesians 2:6).

3. When the enemy is put in his place as being under your feet.

You are not trying to defeat the devil, he was defeated over 2,000 years ago when Jesus died, was buried and raised to life again. When the enemy is attacking your life, you must put him back in his place under your feet (see Luke 10:19).

When these three are in place, you will have supernatural peace and rest for your soul.

Prayer: Father God, I thank You for teaching me about divine order. Take your rightful place on the throne of my heart. I acknowledge that I am seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus, and I command the enemy to get under my feet. I receive who I am in You Lord and I thank You for bringing divine peace into my life, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Receive Double For Your Trouble

March 1, 2017

“For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.” Isaiah 61:7

There is one thing about God that you must know, He is not unfair. He will never allow His children to go through the tests, the fire, and the valley and not experience His goodness in an outweighed measure in their life. Surely His goodness and mercy follow you all of the days of your life! Just as Job received twice as much as he had before his calamity, it is God’s will that you also receive double for your trouble. You will receive double for your shame and double for your confusion.

When God turned the captivity of Zion, they were like them that dream! They were walking around saying, “Pinch me. God is blessing me in such a way that I feel like I am dreaming!” The nations around them said, “Surely they are the nation whom the Lord has blessed.” Those around you may have seen your captivity, but they will witness God exalting you and blessing you. Your situation is only temporary. God has a greater plan, and it involves you being blessed in a great way to advance His Kingdom and establish His covenant in the earth!

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your word to me today! Thank You for helping me to go through the valley experiences in my life and make it out on the other side. Thank You for being with me when my faith is tested and tried. Now, I receive the double, I receive Your blessing, and I receive Your immeasurable favor in my life. Be glorified in my life! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Prayer for You, My Brother

February 28, 2017

Father God, take a moment to pray for my brother who is reading this right now. I pray You will minister to his mind and heart. Let him know that You are in control. Everything is going to be alright. I ask that You establish Your Kingdom in his life and bring divine order where there’s been confusion and chaos. As he humbles himself before You and submit to Your will, I pray You will take Your rightful place on the throne of his heart. Help him take his rightful place in being seated in heavenly places with Christ. Help him to put the enemy under his feet and walk in his spiritual authority in Christ. I pray that You supernaturally strengthen his heart. You are able to do exceeding abundantly above all that he can ask or think. Help him believe that not only are You able, but You are willing. Help him get to know You better and get to know Your character. You said, they that do know their God will be strong and do great exploits. Father, deepen his understanding. Help him not to live out his faith in his mind alone, but from a real relationship with You in his heart. I pray for true conversion of his soul. You promise as we seek Your kingdom and Your righteousness, You will add to us and enrich our lives. You will always do Your part, help him to do his part of trusting in You. I pray You lift every burden and destroy every stronghold off of my brother. Deliver and heal, God. Anything that is preventing him from seeing You clearly, I pray You will remove it. You know everything he is facing in his private life and You have not, and will never abandon him. If You allowed him to face a test or trial, it is because You will be glorified in the end. Breathe on him Father God a fresh wind and give him a fresh fire for You. Fill him with your Holy Ghost and with anticipation of You. Be glorified in his life in a great way. I pray this with all of my heart and I thank You in advance for answering my prayer. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

What Are You Doing Here?

February 27, 2017

“So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, ‘What are you doing here, Elijah?'” 1 Kings 19:12-13, NKJV.

God asked Prophet Elijah this question 40 days after he fled from Jezebel, who was plotting to kill him. This is the same Elijah that just called down fire from heaven as proof of who serves the true and living God. He had become afraid and comfortable where he now was.

For many men, what we have been through is brutal. The losses have been sorrowful. A lack of money in the past has caused us to hold tight to our great jobs and careers, more than we hold tight to God. Next thing we know, God nor the things of God is not first in our lives any longer. You dare not move, but rather remain fearfully comfortable and complacent.

In the midst of your comfort and pleasures, in the midst of the struggles our women and mothers, in the midst of young men being loss to craziness, drugs and violence, do you hear the still, small voice of God asking you, “What are you doing here?”

Now He is asking men, “What are you doing here?” It is time to really set God and His kingdom first in your life. It is time to move forward into His perfect will for your life. It is time to obtain the prize of the high calling of God. The one that backs that small voice is more important than your career. He is more powerful than the pain you’ve been through. He is more powerful than yours fears. He is more good, merciful and restoring than you can figure out. You can’t stay there. It is time be God’s man and serve Him.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your truth. I hear You. Forgive me if I have put my career, worldly pleasures or anything else as my pursuit in life. I choose to serve You! Use me Lord to advance Your kingdom! Use me to make a difference in the lives of others! Help every man step up and be Who You have called us to be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A reflection of Him

February 26, 2017

“But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does” James 1:25, NKJV.

God is unseen by the natural eye, and we are in a physical world, which we can see. It would seem impossible to be able to see the reality of Him, but there is, and it is through us being His reflection in the earth.

A reflection is a production of an image by or as if by a mirror. The image of God, the reality of Him, the goodness and glory of all that He is, is produced by the mirror of His Word. When we agree with His Word and apply it, there is a reflection of God and His goodness seen in the earth, as if light were to shine and break forth in a dark place.

You have been made the light of the world, chosen to agree with His Word and reflect Him. Jesus is our Light and He is our Way. When you make Jesus the Way you respond, handle matters, lead your family, treat your wife, forgive others, and serve God, the result will be a reflection of God seen through your life.

It is time to be the man that reflects Him. When we get on the same page with God and agree with Him, that’s when we will see Him. That is when you will walk in and understand His perfect plan for you. That is when the man He created you to be will break forth. That is when the unbeliever will see your life and believe. The more we do what Jesus says, the more God you will see.

Prayer: Father, I’m so grateful this morning for Your Word. I am called to reflect You so the world can see You. I am light in this world so people can see the reality of You. It is time to completely obey You so the man You created me to be can rise forth. In every situation, help me to agree with the mirror of Your Word so You and Your goodness can be seen in the earth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Spending Without Borders

February 25, 2017

Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.” 2 Kings 4:6-7, NKJV.

Not having a budget is like having a city without walls. It gives the thief free access to steal, kill and destroy the financial area of our lives. In my personal life, I’ve had to tell myself, “No, I will submit to the will of God! Just because we have the money, we will not just go out and spend it without any boundaries!”

The devil’s objective is to keep you and your family financially unstable and without peace. This is one reason why the door of poverty continues to revolve in some believer’s lives. You can have temperance to faithfully pray, but it is just as spiritual to have temperance over your debit card and your bank account. Do not spend money without control, and without submission to God’s order. Be a wise steward, considering not only the present, but the future goals as the man of your home. Consider where God is taking you and your family. It’s not God’s will that you possess your wants, but struggle for your needs.

As a man, we want so much for our wife and children. We’ll give them the world. However, we must trust God with the timing. Let His will be a wall and a border for you. Spending with walls will keep you in the will of God, which is without question the safest place to be. As you obey the Lord by budgeting, paying your debt, and following God’s wisdom for your money, He will bless you and make you a blessing.

Prayer: Father, this is truth and it’s right! Help me to walk in this wisdom. I say to myself, “No, you will submit to the will of God, and just because we have the money, we will not just go out and spend it without any walls!” I ask Lord to give me walls of budget and the grace to stay within them. You are taking me and my family somewhere financially and I thank You for it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Learning Patience

February 24, 2017

“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:4, NKJV

Sometimes, we wonder why God hasn’t moved yet. Why something hasn’t happened yet, or when will God allow you to do something. God is just as a natural father, and sometimes, He will shape in our character patience. It may not feel good at the moment, yet, once patience is complete, you won’t lack the perfect will of God for your life.

Patience produces priority in our lives, establishing what is more important and more needful for us. Patience produces the right perspective, humbling our hearts to be thankful and content with God being God alone. Content with knowing He knows whats best for you. Above all, God is working in you the attribute of trusting Him, to where when He blesses you with what you desire, it won’t turn you away from Him because you can handle it.

Let patience have her perfect work. Like being in the next room in your home, know that God is in another room, working on something needful in you that you are not aware of. He is preparing a woman for you that you are not aware of. He is opening doors that you are not aware of. He is working on blessing you with something far better than what you could ask for. He is building your trust in Him and preparing you for glorious things.

Prayer: Father, You are a good God and I have to admit, my faith is being tested and You are teaching me how to be patient. It is hard, yet it is doing an invaluable work in my life. It is humbling me, knowing that You are God and You know what I need. You know what’s best for me. Help me to learn patience right now and to know that You are working on something great for me. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Man of Integrity

February 23, 2017

“The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him” Proverbs 20:7, NKJV.

Integrity is defined as the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. The main question we all must ask ourselves is, “Am I a man of integrity?” “Am I an honest person?” Only you know the answer.

When you don’t take more time on your lunch break than allowed, when you don’t call in sick knowing you feel well, when you keep your commitments and stay true to your promises, when you don’t try to justify or defend your wrong behavior but admit to the truth, this is all integrity.

A lack of integrity can cost you everything! It can cost you your job and everything you worked hard to obtain. It can cost you the respect of your family and friends. It can cost you your witness and your ministry. It doesn’t matter how strong the temptation may be, think about what it will cost you.

We have a responsibility as believers to walk in integrity before God. It’s not so that others can look at you and say great things about you. It’s so that God can be glorified through your life.
God will work in you the will and to do of His good pleasure (see Philippians 2:13). He will work in your heart and renew your mind. His motives are pure in wanting you to receive this message. It is because He wants to bless you and make you a blessing in the earth.

Prayer: Father God, work in me integrity of heart. Grow me up in godly character. I don’t want to bring shame to Your name. I want to glorify You publicly and in my private life. God! I call out to You to help me be a man of integrity consistently through Your grace and power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Say Yes to God

February 22, 2017

“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20 (NKJV).

Have you said yes to everything God wants to do in and through you? God wants your yes, which is your complete and total trust in Him. Why should you say yes to God? Because He said yes to you. He has said yes to giving you eternal life through Jesus. He has said yes to empowering you to advance His Kingdom. He has said yes to being your heavenly Father and forgiving you, no matter what you’ve done. He has said yes to blessing your life. He has said yes to seeing you through every test and trial and delivering you from them all. Nothing can triumph over you.

Saying yes requires your faith, but you are putting your life in the hands of a good God. Maybe you’ve never completely surrendered to Him and you don’t know what it looks like for you to say yes to God. Don’t be afraid. All of His thoughts are toward blessing you. With your entire heart, choose to receive all that God has for you and say yes.

Prayer: Father, I say yes to You. I see the benefits of having a relationship with You and serving You. I give You my life, and I allow You to give me the expected end You have planned for me. You know me and all that I desire. I step out on faith to trust You. I give You everything. Change my life. Forgive me for all I have done. Rid me of all of my fears and I receive everything You have for me. I thank You that I will be a better husband, a better father, a better provider, and a better man because of it. Thank You, Father! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Devotion vs. Commitment

February 21, 2017

“But what do you think?” A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, ‘Son, go, work today in my vineyard.’ He answered and said, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he regretted it and went. Then he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, ‘I go, sir,’ but he did not go.” Matthew 21:28-30, NKJV.

There is a sharp difference between devotion and commitment. To commit means to pledge, and thereby binding oneself to a word. To devote means to freely give of ones time to a specific cause. Where I would normally say commitment, I have recently transformed my vocabulary to saying devotion.

You see, commitment is good. It is good to say, “I will do it for you,” because it holds the promise and gives assurance to the person or cause you wish to commit to. Yet, commitment is by word and word alone, while devotion is about doing. As men we, we should talk the talk AND walk the walk.

In the parable, the first son showed more devotion to His father than His brother. Even though he disrespected his father in speech, he still honored him by going to the vineyard afterward. How many times have you committed to a cause with such burning passion, and then somewhere along the line, things get complicated–and by complicated I mean excuses get the upper hand, your fire runs out or you just grow weary. The book of James advises us to be doers of the Word, and not hearers alone.

Let me tell you this: There can be times the people you devote to, will not even notice what you do. Can you imagine how God must feel? This can be applied to all areas of our lives because devotion is one of the greatest acts of love, and mysteriously, people can overlook it–but not the Lord.

Regardless, be devoted to your wife, be devoted to your family, your friends, your work and above all of this be devoted to your God. Why? Because the Father is utterly and totally devoted to you. He says, “I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward” (Genesis 15:1). He also says He shall work a work in your day (Habakkuk 1:5). Just think of all the provision He makes for you on a daily basis. So devote yourself each day anew to God’s will for your life, and you shall inherit His kingdom.

Prayer: Father God, your devotion to me has gripped my heart. Please forgive me for straying from Your perfect will, and thank you for loving me even through my stumbling. Lord Jesus, please help me when I grow weary, and remind me that the reward in You is greater than any Earthly joy. Father, grant me the wisdom to discern where my devotion should rest, for Your word says where my treasure is, there my heart will be also. I will devote myself to You anew. Holy Spirit move within me, and may the glory of the Kingdom rise and spread to every person who comes into contact with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Let someone pray for you.

February 20, 2017

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16, KJV

“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” James 4:6, KJV

One of the greatest acts of humility is when you can open up to someone and ask them can they pray for you. You open up and say this where I am. I am not the strong man that I appear to be. I am not covering it up. I am not disguising it. I have decided to admit that I have an area in my life that has been stagnant for a long time. To be honest, everything isn’t going well and I am weak, I am struggling right now. I need help. I am in the need of prayer.

An amazing God has surrounded you with some amazing people in your life. They have been placed in your life for a godly reason. There’s nothing you’re experiencing that another man hasn’t gone through, and can help you through it. Don’t allow shame to keep you from being transparent. The more humble you are, the more grace you will receive. If you would gladly pray for others, open up and allow someone to gladly pray for you. Once you confess your faults, that’s when real healing begins.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for placing other men in my life that You can use to pray for me. Help me to not be prideful or ashamed, but to rather open up to someone and allow them to pray for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Are you tight with your money?

February 19, 2017

“There is one who scatters, yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty” Proverbs 11:24, NKJV.

As men, we are quietly being attacked right now in the area of giving, to be tight with money and to withhold our finances from advancing the kingdom. With a closed hand, we can’t receive any more than what you have in it. An open hand will receive far more from God. An open hand can help far more people in need. An open hand will be free in scattering their seed, doing what God says, and then, always experiences great increase coming back to him.

The devil wants to use fear of the world system to close our hands and heart from giving, and undermine the financial state of the church. He is also causing some who don’t believe we are under the law to tithe, but giving, now have a closed hand, are on the other side of the ditch, and are not giving either. Without the financial resources, he can slow down the work of advancing of the kingdom, hinder people’s needs from being met and your very own increase, your very own blessing from God.

Yet, you are not of this world system, but of a kingdom of a faithful God. We are called to be mighty men of God, leaders in the Body of Christ and our household, allowing nothing to prevent meat from being in the Father’s house. We will not allowing nothing to prevent us from meeting someone’s need and doing good works with our money so people can see God through our shining light.

Obey the Father in this area. The man with an open hand receives more!

Prayer: Father, I have to trust You with my family and my money, even in these times. The devil will not win. You desire to bless me and make me a great blessing in the earth. I will have an open mighty hand to You and advancing Your Kingdom. As You tell me, I will be like the man that scatters and always receives more and more! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Step away and get some rest.

February 18, 2017

“Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, ‘Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest’. ” Matthew 6:31, NIV.

Have you ever felt like you were tired? You need a second wind. You’ve been going and going, working and have had no time to rest. Then, even when you do sit down and relax, you say I’m not doing anything, you still find yourself still at an unrest.

It’s good to step away naturally as a man, with all of our responsibilities, and do something we enjoy. Yet, many times the true rest we need isn’t physical. It is a spiritual rest that we need. It is a rest for the soul that we need, and this is the rest, the second wind that only comes from the Lord.

You need to still away and get some time to yourself and God. Push away your schedule, go to a different environment and let Lord minister to you. Let Him refresh you in His presence. Let Him show you how to have faith and rest about everything before you. Let Him answer your questions. Let Him rearrange and restructure anything about what you’re doing and the way you’re doing it. God will even reveal to you if there’s anything you are involved in that really isn’t His will for your life.

When you choose to find rest in Him, He will give you a fresh perspective on your life, and give you more grace. This is how you can run and not get weary, and walk, but not faint in the Lord.

Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to me today. I’m so tired. I need a break, and I need some rest. Help me do something naturally to rest. Yet above all, help me to spiritually rest. Only You can do something about my life. Only You can ease my mind. Only You can provide rest for my soul. Minister a refreshing, a second wind to me Lord, so I can continue to run for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It’s All Through Christ

February 17, 2017

“Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” Hebrews 13:21, KJV.

At least thirty times in the New Testament and even much more, you will see God make reference to being in Christ, through Christ, by Christ, or by Him. It is even mentioned in scripture to put on Christ. This tells us that we should always be seeking to do the Father’s will–through Christ. It is by Christ Jesus that we are who we are, do the good work that we can do and be well pleasing in God’s sight in how we live.

Everything we do, everything we accomplish, any power that we walk in to have a victorious christian life is through the grace found in Christ. He is our ability. There is no overcoming, except by Jesus Christ, and without Him, even being a strong man, you cannot overcome the enemy alone.

Through Christ, you receive power to do the will of God. You will find power to love your enemies. You can receive grace to fast. You can say the right things. You are a focused man, a man under control. You can resist those temptations. In Christ, you’re unstoppable!

By yourself, you can’t do it. Yet, just like stepping into a suit of superpowers, when you step into Him in prayer and yield to Christ in you, you step into His grace, His love, His joy, His wisdom, His power, to execute the will of God for your life.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for letting me know how much I need to depend on Jesus and to live pleasing to You. It’s all in Christ. I ask that You help me to apply this truth and as I pray, I put on Christ today. I yield to the Jesus in me. It is through Christ, in Christ, and by Him that I live victorious! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You Have the Victory!

February 16, 2017

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57, NKJV

Can you imagine news reporters and commentators running up to you saying, “Wow, you did it! What a race! What a victory!” Cameras are flashing as they throw the ribbon around you. They put the crown on your head. Thousands of people are cheering in awe of the magnificent victory you have. Confetti is falling from everywhere. You ask, “What did I do?” The commentator responds, “What did you do? You won!” The crowd goes wild.

They ask you to pose for the camera. Now pose for the magazine cover! Also, they stick a paperboard million dollar check in your hand and says thanks for winning! The cheers erupt again and again and again. In your heart, you are saying I did nothing to receive this. This is what Jesus did for you. Because He did it, you can do it. Let your joy be full today because no matter what you face, He gave you the victory.

Confession: Father I thank You for the victory I have in Jesus Christ. He did what I could not do myself. I now have salvation, forgiveness, grace, abundant life, authority, and more. I receive that I am a winner. I am more than a conqueror. Because He did it, I can do all things through Him. My joy overflows today! I have the victory! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He Will Pull It Off

February 15, 2017

“And He said, “I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.” (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.) Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing” Genesis 18:10-11, NKJV.

Abraham and Sarah had many odd stacked up against them in their ability to have a son, but if anyone could pull it off, God can.

Like Abraham, God has spoken some things that He is going to do in your life, and you wonder how in the world is He going to get it done. You may be saying, “But God look how far I am behind.” “Look at all my faults.” “I don’t have the money.” “I missed my opportunity and it’s over now.” “God, look at the delays I’ve experienced.” “You will heal me?” “Are You sure You can use me. Look at me.”

He has shown me time and time again that if He said it, He will pull it off. You may not know how, but He will. He will either bless you with the money, or with favor from man. He will open the door, or provide a new one. He will help you learn it, or bring someone in your life that already does. He will mold you and change you into a completely new man. God created the earth. He can work your life out.

If you would allow yourself to be led by God, step by step, you will find yourself in the exact place you have desired to attain in life. Be encouraged. God is going to pull it off, and it’s going to be better than you could have ever dreamed of.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word. If you can pull it off for Abraham, I believe You can do it for me. Help me to not lean to my own understanding. Help me to hear Your voice and to do what You instruct me to do–step by step. God, pull it off in my life. Hallelujah. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Iron Sharpens Iron

February 14, 2017

“As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend” Proverbs 27:1, NKJV.

My friend told me there were some things that he was learning from me, and in turn, there were some things that I was learning from him. He has given me some wisdom about some areas and I have given him some wisdom also. He has encouraged me and I have encouraged him. There are areas that are being fine-tuned, or sharpened, in his life as a result of our friendship.

Iron sharpens iron. However, iron is required to be struck at just the right angle to become sharp. Many men are evading, or hiding, from discussing the things we really need to be talking about. We aren’t asking the questions that really need to be asked. We aren’t telling each other the truth we really need to hear. We aren’t encouraging and praying with one another as we should. As a result, we are missing just the right angles of friendships to make each other sharp.

As a man, don’t hide from discussing the rough areas in your life. Discuss them or you will remain dull. There is someone in your life that God wants to use to sharpen you, and there is someone that God wants to use you to sharpen. You both can help one another get better and better in various areas of your lives, and you will become a more effective, more focused man.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word. Although You sharpen me, there are people in my life you want to use to sharpen me as well. I can’t get sharper on my own. I don’t want to be dull. I humble myself Lord. Help me to talk about the things in my life I really need to talk about so I can become a more effective man. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Rooted In The Word

February 13, 2017

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.” Psalm 1:2-3, NKJV

A tree cannot survive without water. But with it, a tree can thrive. You are a tree of righteousness, and in these times, it is vital to stay by the river of God’s Word. Do not underestimate its’ power. Within His Word, God has something to say to you that will cause you to never lack what you need. He will meet you right where you are. There is no greater shelter, no greater comfort, no greater counsel, no greater offense than His Word.

He framed the world with it. Jesus fought with it. He healed with it. You will win with it. His Word has the power to keep us planted and thriving. It doesn’t mean we won’t go through anything, but God’s Word will sustain you and feed you through it.

Confession: God’s Word is powerful. I am a tree of righteousness and I will plant myself by the river of His Word. It flows with guidance and sustenance. It flows with strength. I will thrive in these times because I fill my heart with what He says. I fill my mind with what He says. His Word will provide counsel for every situation in my life. I will abide in Your Word and prosper!

Your Greatest Win

February 12, 2017

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13, NKJV.

When you are out on the field of life pursuing your greatest win, it can feel like you are playing a game unlike any other. Your opponent the devil is calling plots and schemes like plays to keep you from reaching God’s calling. As we all have, you’ve taken some hits. You’ve had some knock downs. Yet, if you notice something, the Father always causes you to end up scoring.

Don’t you give up on God. He is sincerely in a pure support of you. He is all the support you need. He is in support of you winning in life through Christ. He is in your ear telling you that with Jesus, you can do it. With Jesus, you can become the man He has called you to be. Jesus is the key to your greatest victory.

Regardless of what is going on around you, be encouraged to not faint and get weary, but keep going hard after His best. It got tough for Jesus at the end, but that’s when He held to the Father the most. It may get the toughest at the end, but that is when you hold fast to God and His Word the most. That’s when you jump anyway and go for it! He didn’t say you wouldn’t be challenged, but He did say you will win.

Just as He told Moses, He tells you. Go forward and into what I am telling you to do. Do it in faith, not allowing fear to keep you from entering into what He’s promised you. You are at the door of your greatest win!

Prayer: Father, thank You for the encouragement. You are cheering me forward. I lean on You Jesus right now. You are on the field of life with me and I receive Your strength. I declare I am a great man and I can do great things through Christ. I declare I will receive my greatest win. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Rise!

February 9, 2017

“For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.” Proverbs 24:16, KJV

For a just man, falling is not final. Who are the just? It is those who have been justified and declared not guilty through Jesus. A just man will never stay down because he is reminded that God is with him. He knows the goodness and mercy of the LORD follow him all the days of his life, and God’s mighty hand will help him up.

If you’ve fallen, rise from your place and take your seat as being seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus. You are God’s man and you are needed in these times. Your wife needs you. Your children need you. Turn away from any condemnation, shame, regret, and discouragement. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength. Let it empower you to rise.

Set your heart to receive God’s grace and know that His plan is always intact. He has a plan already prepared for your comeback and your ultimate victory. You must not remain there as the wicked, those who are without God. You can place your hope and confidence in the LORD and rise!

Confession: I choose to not wallow in my mistakes, but rise with joy and the knowledge of God’s acceptance of me. I serve a merciful and faithful God. Since He’s not condemning me, I will not either. I get back up! I am the just, and I am who God says I am. I rise from every circumstance. I am needed in these times. God’s plan for me will never change, and surely I have restoration ahead. I will never quit on the LORD because He never quit on me. I make it my pursuit to be who God has called me to be. I rise!

You are Justified by His Grace

February 8, 2017

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” Romans 3:23-24, KJV.

You are justified and cleansed through the precious blood of Jesus and nothing and no one can dump the trash of your past on you again. You are clean in God’s sight. You are justified in His sight. You are righteous in His sight, and it’s not because of anything you’ve done, it’s because of what Jesus did for you over 2,000 years ago.

To justify means to render innocent. It’s a legal term that declares you’re not guilty. When you know you are justified and made righteous through Jesus, it protects you every time the enemy comes to remind you of your past. It covers you to where those old triggers just don’t work anymore.

God allows some experiences in your life to show you how much you’ve grown in Him and how deep your faith has become. Since you’ve come this far, keep going farther! Keep having faith in Jesus, the one who has justified you and made you right! Keep receiving His grace!

Prayer: Yes, Lord. I receive your word and I thank you. Thank you that I’m clean and justified in your sight, not by my works, but through Jesus. My slate is clean and there is no residue. Your grace and mercy washed it all away. Hallelujah! Because you’ve justified me, help me Lord not to behave like a condemned sinner. I’m justified and cleansed through Jesus and my name is written in the Lamb’s book of life. Let that awareness fill me with great joy! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Your Wife Is Like Fine China

February 6, 2017

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.” Ephesians 5:25, KJV

“In the same way you married men should live considerately with [your wives], with an intelligent recognition [of the marriage relation], honoring the woman as [physically] the weaker, but [realizing that you] are joint heirs of the grace (God’s unmerited favor) of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered and cut off. [Otherwise you cannot pray effectively.]” 1 Peter 3:7, AMP

Fine china was created by royalty. The primary known material for it is porcelain, also referred to as “white gold”. Fine china is so valuable, yet fragile, and we are aware of the special care that it needs. We even have made china cabinets specifically created to hold and protect it. The china cabinet also is built with windows for all to see its’ hand-crafted design and beauty.

Our wives are like fine china, given by God. She was made and designed by God Himself, Who is royalty. Every time your wife is seen, she should display who she is, God’s daughter, and your rich care for her. You are nourishing her, cherishing her, ministering to her, watering her, telling her how thankful and blessed you are to have a woman like her, spending money on her, giving her good things, listening, and meeting her needs. We are called to nourish and cherish our wife as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it. She is your wife and God instructs us to greatly love them.

Prayer: Thank You Father for revealing to me more and more the value of my wife. She is like fine china and I have to treat her like You do–with excellent care. She is your precious daughter. She is royalty and I am so thankful for her. Teach me how to love her, honor her and give myself for my wife, as you did for us. Help me obey You, and as a result, you will richly bless our marriage. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Give Him Everything

February 5, 2017

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us” Hebrews 12:1, NKJV.

It’s something as a man when God begins to ask you for everything and you know it. He asks for the music you listen to, the people you hang around, your relationships, that particular sin in your life, your priorities, or that job you treasure and you feel you can’t live without.

No one knows that God is knocking on the door of your heart, but you. No one knows He is asking for your all, but you. He wants everything in your life to be given to Him–your obedience, love, time, your mind, your strength, your resources, and your goals. He wants your focus to be completely on Him and His agenda.

God’s best is missing from our lives because we really haven’t given God our best. We know when we are holding back our all from God. Something is in the way and that is what He’s asking for. Whether it is in the corner or in the closet, that is what He’s asking for. When you give Him everything, that is when you will see and receive everything He has for you. His blessings, His victory, His power is waiting on you.

As He asks of you, give it to Him. Let Him be the Man in charge and trust Him. It can be the biggest test of your faith when God asks for everything, but it will produce your greatest reward.

Prayer: God, thank You for Your Word. You have been speaking to me. You are God and You are calling me higher. You have something more for my life that I can’t explain, and I must trust You. I surrender it to You. Here is everything. Jesus I let You in. I believe I will receive and see everything You have for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You’re blessed because of Him!

February 4, 2017

“Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture” Psalm 100:3, NKJV.

When you look around and observe every thing you have. When you consider the family you enjoy, your health, how stable you are financially, and the intellect you use to prosper, it is all because of Him.

It was the Lord that blessed you with it. It will be the Lord that continues to bless you with it. You do well on your job because He gave, and gives you what’s required to excel. You didn’t make it through the rough times of life on your own. Jesus carried you through them, and he will always be carrying you. You are blessed because of the Lord. You never have and never will be able to do any of these things apart from the mercy and grace of God.

Never forget that it is the Lord’s doing and not your own. Always let it stand alone as being marvelous in your eyes and cause praise to erupt from your heart. Let it cause a continual voice and attitude of thanksgiving to Him. Let it bring a response of what can I do for You because of all You have done for me. Give no one the credit. Give no one the honor. This will keep you humble, continually serving Him all your days. It is your reasonable service.

Prayer: Father, I take no credit. I dare not take any praise. It is all because of You! I am blessed because of You! I am free because of You! You carried me and You carry me. It’s You that provided that open door. It is You that kept me and You are keeping me. I thank You for being rich in mercy and grace toward me. What can I do for You Lord? I will never forget it is because of You and I will live for You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Not afraid to be pruned

February 3, 2017

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit” John 15:1, NKJV.

When a tree or flower is pruned, it is being pruned for a greater purpose. It is pruned for the purpose of bearing more fruit.

This is what God does with us. There are things in our lives that are unfruitful, therefore, the Lord deals with us in those areas, not for the purpose of harm, but for the purpose to bear more of the likeness of Him in us and through us. The fruit of His Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance (Galatians 5:22-23).

If you are not bearing them, God is going to prune you. He will cut away offense, unforgiveness, laziness, impatience, fornication, rebellion, selfishness, pride, unfaithfulness, and other sins that stagnant your growth. He will even allow and use circumstances to prune and get what is not producing off of you so you can bear more fruit. It may not feel good, but it is good for you. Pruning precedes growth. Pruning precedes power. Pruning precedes purpose.

Don’t be afraid of His pruning process. Your best is coming out of you. Be a man that yields and allows God to take you deeper and take you higher into the image of Christ Jesus.

Prayer: Father, it doesn’t feel good, but prune me. Make this man more like You! Work on me to bear more fruit for You. Cut away any sin and anything that is not like You. I yield and rely on You Jesus to give me the strength to grow from what I’m going through. Thank You Jesus. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Your victory lies in moving forward.

February 2, 2017

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” Philippians 3:13-14, KJV.

God and His promises are always in front of you, not behind you. You may have had setbacks. You may feel there’s too much ground to cover at your age. You may have lost it in your past, yet it will only be restored with an amazing God in your future. You cannot change where you have been. It is all ahead of you. This is a guarantee. It will not escape your hands. It will not and cannot elude you. It will be sitting there within the plan of God. People to help and bless will be awaiting you. Wisdom and resources will be awaiting you. Opportunities, relationships and honor will be awaiting you. You will be restored and made new when you move forward into the will of God.

This is not a dangling carrot. This is not a place in Him you can only hope to obtain. With the leading of the Holy Spirit, you can arrive there. It is indeed a place, and you know when you are in it. The perfect will of God is that you become who you are. You’re experiencing using your gifts there. You are fulfilled because you are pleasing the Father there. You are producing for Him and you are the greatest blessing there. You have stepped into what God has called you to do for your life. He is calling you to this place of victory and you must now press into it. Your victory lies in moving forward.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word and that I can move forward into what you have for my life. I ask for a focused mind and heart. I ask to help me move at the pace You want me to. Help me to allow nothing in the past to keep me from moving forward into every victory, every blessing. Forward is victory. Thank You Lord! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Faith to Faith

February 1, 2017

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith” Romans 1:17.

You can trust God! If He came through before, He will come through again and again. He will continue to demonstrate His love for you over and over again until you understand just how much He loves you and has your back. He is good!

Fear sees obstacles, while faith sees opportunities. Fear causes us to doubt and complain, while faith causes us to rejoice and praise God. A characteristic of faith is thankfulness. A thankful heart rejoices over what God has already done and what He’s about to do. Let thankfulness carry you through into the next demonstration of God’s faithfulness in your life.

Settle in your heart that you will live from faith to faith!

Prayer: Father God, thank You for demonstrating Your love for me. Forgive me for every time I’ve doubted You. You are trustworthy and You are faithful! I’m thankful I know You and I praise You for what You have already done in my life. I’m excited about Your divine plans and purpose. Help me to settle it in my heart to live from faith to faith. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Go Through the Open Door

January 31, 2017

“I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.” Revelation 3:8

Discouragement over regrets, missed opportunities, closed doors, and over being told “no”, is at an all time high. Many people are feeling discouraged today and negative thoughts are pouring into their minds like a rainstorm. We must learn to encourage ourselves in the Lord. God is still on the throne and you are who God said you are. You have what He said you have. You will do everything He has set out for you to do. You are on the winning side! That makes you a winner! Don’t let the spirit of discouragement talk in your ear any longer. Only listen to the comforting and reassuring voice of His Holy Spirit. He will remind you that you don’t serve a small God. You serve the King of kings and the Lord of lords, and what your King has already approved for you, no one can disapprove. What He has ordained for you to receive, no one deny you of it.

When God decrees a blessing for you, all of heaven knows it and all of heaven expects you to agree with it, go after it and receive it by faith. Your assigned angel is ready to go before you and prosper your way, but you have to send your angel forth. Don’t sit at any closed doors feeling down, discouraged, and defeated. No man can close a door that God has laid open before you. It doesn’t matter what anyone has said about it. What God has spoken to you, and revealed to you in His Word, is all that matters! Be encouraged. Be determined. Be persistent. Everything God has for you is yours for the taking!

Prayer: Father God, I thank You for encouraging me today by Your Spirit. I rebuke the spirit of discouragement right now and I yield to Your Holy Spirit. I receive Your encouragement. Help me to go through every open door You have laid before me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

It’s working for your good

January 29, 2017

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28, KJV

It may not appear like it, but everything you have been through will come together for a bigger and glorious picture. From every single experience, every mistake, every trial, every hurdle, every test that you’ve faced, God will make sure you experience every single promise of blessing because you love Him and you are called by Him.

Nothing can derail God’s plan for your life. Whatever you’ve been through, it has only made you better, stronger and wiser. So don’t be occupied in your mind with regret, but rather be thankful. Don’t live in the “what if’s” of the past, but rather be thankful, for God will make it benefit you and someone else going through the same experience. God will make it work for you, not against you, and the devil can’t stop the restoration power of God. God is a good God. He will set you in victorious places and blessings, just as if you didn’t go through anything at all.

So be encouraged and walk in joy. It’s working for your good.

Confession: I am thankful that all things are working together for my good. No matter how I feel, I will give thanks. God is a good God. I will not live my life full of regret, guilt or condemnation. Thank You that Your plan is in front of me and is unfolding right before my eyes. I am truly a blessed man and I Thank You Lord!

Speak His Word!

January 28, 2017

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life” John 6:63, NKJV.

God’s Word was given to us, not only to be thought upon, but to be spoken and declared. They are not meant to be held in. Because God’s words have the power to give life, to set us and others free, we will face opposition from the enemy when we consider saying what God Himself says. God maintains everything by the power of His Word. It is forever settled in Heaven and God wants them to be forever settled in your life, and settled in what you say.

Things will change for you because He said they will! You can do all things through Christ which strengthens you because He said you can. No matter the pressure that comes against you, no matter the responsibilities you have as a man, speak His Word. The devil will flee. It may feel pointless at first, but speak it in faith, and watch joy rise, and watch your life begin to reflect what you are saying.

From your purpose to daily living, your peace, joy and change lies in making God’s words your words!

Confession: I declare I am a son of God and according to Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength! No weapon formed against me, my family, my health, or my finances will prosper. Because God is on my side, He protects me. I will not give in to pressure, but I will keep moving forward by faith in God. I am a victorious man through Jesus and I walk in victory. Hallelujah!

Hear what the Holy Spirit is saying

January 27, 2017

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” Revelation 2:29, NKJV.

Jesus was speaking, directing, and addressing the state of several local churches by the Holy Spirit in those times, and the Holy Spirit is speaking to us today. It is important to hear what God is saying by His Spirit to His church collectively, your local church and individually to you. It is important to know how His Spirit is moving right now so you can move with Him.

What do you hear the Holy Spirit saying to you right now to the church and to you? What does He want us as men to do to advance the kingdom? What season are in you in for your life? What should be focused on? What is He saying to accomplish this year? What is He saying about your business, ministry, your current job and your purpose there? As a pastor, are you preaching and taking your church in the direction He is saying? Is there sin among the church leadership that He says needs to stop? Is it time to do something He has revealed God wants you to do? Is there something you need to change? Where is He taking you and what should you be preparing for?

Take the time to pray and hear what His Spirit is saying. Just like a radio, you want to be plugged in, tuned in with an ear to hear now more than ever before.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Spirit that is speaking to the Body of Christ worldwide. I want to be in tune with how You are moving so I can move with You. Give me an ear to hear what Your Spirit is saying to the church, and to hear how to advance the kingdom in these crucial times. Help me to hear clearly what You are saying to me so I can walk in Your perfect will for my life and victory. I pray the same for the entire Body of Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Hope in God!

January 26, 2017

“Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance” Psalm 42:5, NKJV.

The psalmist said this two different times in this psalm, denoting that he had a tossing, a struggle, going on in his soul to be strong and hope in God. When he wrote this, he was going through a hard time, having been exiled by Saul from his home. He longed to be back in the house of God, among the people of God and freely give God praise there. He longed to be where he use to be.

You may be experiencing some hard times. You may long to be where you use to be in your life. You may feel confused about where you’re headed. You may feel you were in the perfect will of God and you praised Him, but how can you praise Him where you are.

Hope in God. He will do what He said He will do. He has a master plan, and even when it feels like He isn’t at work at all, that’s when He is doing His best work in you. He’s doing His best work for you. When it feels like He is the farthest away, is when He is the closest. He will bring you out and bring you into a great place.

Let nothing stop your praise, for there is power, joy and strength in it. Praise Him and experience His presence, as He fills your cup and provides the encouragement deep down that you need. Jesus lives on the inside of you. Living waters flow inside of you (John 7:38) and be reminded that you can hope in the Lord.

Prayer: Thank You God for Your word. Why be disquieted my soul? Hope in God, and I will yet praise You! I may not understand what You are doing and my faith is being tested, but I can trust You are doing your best work in me. Help me to be a rock and have joy as Your perfect will unfolds. I will expect in faith and hope in You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Handling missed opportunities

January 25, 2017

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before” Philippians 3:13, KJV.

One thing about missed opportunities, if you’re not careful, they can take your attention off the ones that are right in front of you. If you dwell on missed opportunities, if you give them your attention, if you live in their regret, they have a way of causing you to miss more.

Don’t do that. The best practical antidote and comfort for a missed opportunity is wisdom. It is wise to take your eyes from looking backwards and look forward. Look at what is in your hands. Look at what is all around you. I guarantee there should be something you see. It is wise to dwell on the opportunities that God is presenting to you right now.

The Lord always turns it around, restores us and sets us in a place where it will be as if we never missed an opportunity at all. Listen to His wisdom and move on to the opportunities ahead.

Prayer: Yes Lord I missed it big. Yet, comfort me by Your mighty Spirit. Comfort me with Your mighty wisdom. Establish Your wisdom in me and give me eyes to see what is before me now, what Your strategy is now. In You, all is never lost and You will restore. I thank You for new opportunities for me and my family now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What a little confidence will do!

January 24, 2017

“For You are my lamp, O Lord; the Lord shall enlighten my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop; by my God I can leap over a wall” Psalm 18:28-29, NKJV.

Sometimes a man just needs some confidence. It is amazing what a little confidence will do. You may not be superman, but God wants your confidence to be as if you were through Christ. David was roughly 5 feet tall, yet he believed he could leap over a wall and he could run through a troop. His confidence was that he could do it by God.

Let all of your confidence be rooted from a great confidence in God. Jesus lives in you. Someone with power lives in you. Someone with wisdom lives you. By Him, you can leap over your walls and you can run through a troop of your enemies! By Him, you can do what He is asking of you.

Don’t cast away your confidence, for it has great reward! For some of us men, all the pieces are there, and this is the final piece you need. Confidence will cause you to take the risk. It will cause you to take the leap over all fear. It will cause you to run with the vision God has put in your heart. You are confident in His ability, His plan, and like David, by God you can do anything!

Prayer: Father, thank You for believing in me. Thank You that others believe in me. But it is vital that I believe in me too. I will put my confidence in You! Help me God to leap over all fear. Lord, tear down anything hindering me, even in my past. I’m going to do it! Help me be confident in the gifts inside of me. Add this final piece in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Run with your vision

January 23, 2017

“Then the Lord answered me and said: Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.” Habakkuk 2:2, NKJV

The prophet Habakkuk was seeking God for His response on what He will do about the Chaldeans that were violent and wicked against God’s people. He wanted to know what would God do, so he set himself to hear from the Lord. God then responds, telling him to write the vision that I give you, make plain on tablets so they that read it, can run with it.

Now is the time to set yourself to not only hear from God your vision and to run with it. There may be a crooked generation around you, yet He will give you His vision, His will for your life, to impact the world. Once He supplies it, write it down. He will give it to you plainly for you to write down plainly what He speaks to you.

When you have a vision, it is your vision. It is what you see. When you write it down, you now are helping others to see it too–the people who God will send after you. God will gladly add to you the people you need, but a clear vision is required so they can run with you. Begin with what you already know. Take the time to write it down. Then, pursue to execute it. Be encouraged to run and not get weary because the vision will surely come to pass!

Prayer: Father, You have a vision for my year and for my life. I desire to do my part to impact the world for Jesus. I set myself to know the vision You have for me. Speak to me and help me to write it down plainly, so those that You send to me can run with it. Grace me to run with it. Also, help me to serve and help someone else’s vision. Lead me to whoever you would have me to help run with and we all will advance Your kingdom together. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

A Good Life Prepared for You

January 22, 2017

“For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us]”. Ephesians 2:10, Amplified

You would be disappointed if you went on a cruise to Hawaii, but there was no food prepared to eat, or a cabin to sleep? You would look around and say yes the ship is wonderful, the views are awesome, the sunshine and beaches are amazing, but I do not have anything to eat, nor do I have a cabin to live in. What about me?

God didn’t make all of these wonderful things in the earth that you see with your eyes daily and leave you out? He didn’t make so many great people you see with gifts and abilities, but leave you out. No. There is an awesome life, awesome winning of lives to Jesus, awesome victories, awesome works, awesome power, awesome wisdom, awesome blessings, great restoration waiting for you in Christ Jesus! You’ve been specially made to live a good life. It is good life found only in Christ Jesus.

It doesn’t matter what you’ve been through, you still have a life that is already prepared, prearranged, ordained for you in Christ Jesus. Like a meal already prepared when you come home, God has prepared a good life for you in His Son.

Prayer: Father, I am so thankful that You prepared a good life for me. I receive Your Word and You purpose for me. I receive Your plan for me. Help me to move forward in the awesome things, even Your mighty restoration. Help me to move forward into what was ordained for me before the foundation of the world-a good life. Nothing is impossible with Him

January 21, 2017

“For with God nothing shall be impossible” Luke 1:37, KJV.

Beloved, the heart of what Jesus is speaking about is putting our faith in action. Our faith needs to be built on a solid foundation of His Word, and what we have heard, we must be able to put forth in this world in how we live and in good works. As we abide and grow in the Vine (John 15:5) and use our faith, we will see the Lord do great things, even see a revival of the miracles and wonders of the time of the apostles. Do you dare believe it? Nothing is impossible with God!

I challenge you this week to go crazy with your faith. Speak life and love, prophesy, lay hands on the sick, and proclaim victory in Jesus name. Speak and move those mountains in your way, and cast them into the oceans because that power is given to you by God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Believe and then do it!

Prayer: Father God, thank you for filling my life with purpose. Thank you for talents, gifts and abilities to glorify Your Name. Please continue directing my footsteps by Your will and believe You for the impossible. Teach me to fill this world with light and love so that I can secure salvation for anyone who enters my life. Holy Spirit, I invite You to fill me and may good works flow as I walk by faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Make an impact with your prayers!

January 20, 2017

“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” 1 Timothy 2:1-4, NKJV.

A wave of water can be small and it can also be massive. Either way, when it comes and hits the beach shore, it affects what it hits. The power with waves is that they continue to come in, one after another, making an impact on land.

There are waves of prayers that are coming. Wave of believers, waves of churches, waves of pastors and leaders, businesses, women, children, and more asking of God to war for us. Asking God to use our leaders for His purpose. Asking God to touch and change lives. One after another, prayers are coming, and like a powerful wave, our intercession will have an impact on our land.

God is calling us as men to intercede individually and collectively to affect what we target them toward. Whether you are at home or work by yourself, with your family or at your church, make waves of prayer that will change your city, your leaders, your nation and the world. Like a wave, continually let your prayers enter in and touch the shores of leaders and lives.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the power of prayer and I join in, making waves of intercession extending from Your people right now. According to Your Word, I also give thanks for our leaders. Help me to pray and give thanks each day for them. Guide them, instruct them and use them for Your mighty purpose and plans Father. According to Your Word, my prayers will have powerful results of quietness and peace, and most of all, people being saved and coming to know Jesus. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

You may bend, but you won’t break

January 19, 2017

“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God” Psalm 92:12-13, KJV.

Palm trees can grow up to 197 feet tall. They always grow toward the sun, even if it means they have to contort and bend themselves. They thrive in warm and moist climates. They may appear to be weak and fragile, but its’ looks are deceiving. They are able to bend in huge storms, yet amazingly they do not break.

As the righteous, you are as the palm tree. Swaying and bending in the midst of the storm, yet God is in you and He won’t allow you to break. It frustrates the devil that you seem to keep standing. Even after more adversity, the more glory is revealed on your life.

You thrive in God’s perfect will. You thrive in the water of His Word, planted by it, growing as high as you can and reaching as high as you can. You are drawn to the Son, Who is the light of the world, and you are reaping from your Source, gaining strength and endurance from Him, receiving joy from Him, abounding in grace from Him, on the inside of you.

As the palm tree, you may have to adjust and bend in life, but nothing will keep you-the righteous-from flourishing into the man God has declared you are.

Prayer: Father, thank You for making me righteous through Jesus Christ and I flourish as the palm tree. I may bend, but I won’t break! I want to do Your will and in Your will is where I thrive. I am drawn to the Son. I grow in the Son. I am like a palm tree and I will continue to reach for You, flourishing into the man You have declared that I am. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

It may be formed, but it won’t prosper!

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, Says the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17, KJV.

There are weapons that may be formed against you, but they won’t prosper, and God will not allow them to. You are God’s weapon in the earth, formed in His image and likeness, formed to work, formed to advance, formed to prosper instead. In the heat your battle, you will prosper instead. Whatever you are pursuing, you will prosper instead. While you are so close to the finish line, you will handle the adversity and enter into what God has for you.

Stay vigilant to follow His leading. His Word, His ways and His plan works. Don’t be derailed in your faith because you really encounter something the enemy has formed against you, because surely your God will not fail you. His grace won’t fail you. You have a heritage of winning from God. Victory runs in His family. Power runs in His family. He will dominate for His sons just like Jesus did!

Confession: I thank You Lord for the victory I already have through Jesus Christ, and no weapon formed against me shall prosper or advance in my life. Your will for me will prosper instead. Your Word will work for me instead. Your plan and Your leading works every time! I will prosper! I can do what You say I can do. I will dominate! I have a heritage of winning. This is my life-long portion. I thank You right now for it coming to pass! Hallelujah!

A Man Broken

January 17, 2017

“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18, KJV.

Have you ever felt like you were a man that was broken? You need so much help that you didn’t even know what to ask God to fix. That is just how much you need Him. I’ve been there. You look up to Him and you just have no words. You feel like you just had enough faith to sit before Him, and all you can say is help me.

God hears your silent prayers and He sees every broken part in you. He sees right where you are and He helps all those that call on Him in truth. When you’re broken, it is not the time to try to be tough because your pride will get in the way of your promise. It’s not the time to be a man, but a son. Be like you would want your own son to be, to come to you in their time of need.

Be encouraged. He is even more present than you realize. He will give you hope. He will miraculously give you strength. This is the God you serve, and Who is faithful to help you. Don’t let the lack of words in your brokenness keep you from drawing near to God. According to His Word, if you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you (James 4:8). You won’t be left ashamed. He will not leave you where you are. He is near to those with a broken and contrite heart to deliver you.

Prayer: Father, I have no strength for words. I don’t know what to do, but I know You do. I can’t fix my brokenness, but You can. I need You Lord. Jesus carry me now. Hear my heart. Speak into my life today. Make a way for me and deliver me. You will help me with what I’m going through! I will trust You. I Thank You Father. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What you focus on, you will capture

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” Hebrews 12:2, KJV.

Using a camera lens, we can zoom in, zoom out, change lighting and make other adjustments to snap a picture. As good as the camera may be, it still requires focus to capture the shot we want. Our lives are as cameras that must be focused in order to accomplish what the Father has for us to do. The bridge between you and your purpose is your focus.

As men, some of us can find ourselves being easily distracted losing our focus on the primary tasks before us. If you don’t focus on seeking God, you won’t find Him. No matter how much talent you have, if you don’t focus on becoming a disciplined individual and perfecting your gifts, you won’t achieve anything. God has an amazing purpose for your life, and with some focus, you can experience the perfect will of God. You will see the prize of your goals obtained. What you focus on, you will capture.

Prayer: Father, You are all that I need, and I know You have great things in store. I get overjoyed when I think about Your plans for me. Help me to focus in so that I can experience what You have for me. I come against all of the enemy’s distractions. I have the mind of Christ. By Your power, I I ask for a focused mind. I ask for a focused heart. I ask for Your direction, and I receive the focus necessary to carry out Your instructions. I thank You for capturing the life You have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Let Him fight your battles

January 15, 2017

“And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s” 2 Chronicles 20:15, KJV.

When you are in a battle, it can appear like God is no where in sight. As a man, it can seem like you have to take matters in your own hands and get it done. But be encouraged to not take the position of God. Your position is not, and never will be, to fight the battle.

Your position isn’t to fight the battle, but to have faith in the One Who fights all of your battles for you. Your position is faith! Your position is not fear, nor confusion. Your position is not depression or to live without hope. Your God is always in His position to fight for you and He will. His desire is that you be a light in the midst of it. Obey Him in the midst of it. Be an example of trust and praise in the midst of it.

If you look back over your life, even when you didn’t realize it, your God has fought many battles and won them for you. This will be no different. Maintain your stance of faith, and let God be God and fight your battles.

Prayer: Father, I give You praise this morning. I don’t have to take matters into my own hands. The battle is yours! You fight all my battles! Help me not to take Your position, but to keep my position of faith. Help me to be a light to the unbeliever and an example of how to trust in You in the midst of a battle. I praise You now! Guide my steps Father and I thank You for winning this for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Jesus is the Anchor of your soul

January 14, 2017

“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek” Hebrews 6:19-20, NKJV.

An anchor is defined as heavy object attached to a rope or chain and used to moor a vessel to the sea bottom, typically one having a metal shank with a ring at one end for the rope and a pair of curved and/or barbed flukes at the other. It keeps ships from drifting or being pulled away. Therefore, the ship owner rests and puts their hope in their anchor to keep their ship, even in the midst of the biggest storm.

When the storms of life come. When you find they begin to rage the most. Jesus is your sure and stedfast hope. He is as sure and stedfast than even before the storm came. He is the Anchor of your soul.

Even when you don’t understand it all, trust Him. Like the two curved flukes on an anchor, one side holds by God’s promises and the other holds by His oath, which He also cannot lie. There is a sure consolation, a sure hope that is right there to hold you down, even at the bottom, your rock bottom. That’s what Jesus came for, and there is a hope that you can always look to in Him. Jesus went behind the veil, the holiest of holies, the mercy seat of God and secured salvation for those that receive Him. You are not anchored in a sea on earth, but He anchored you there in Heaven.

He won’t let you be taken away in the midst of what you ‘re experiencing. Nothing can move what Christ has done. He will keep you through it. He will carry you through it.

Prayer: Father, I feel like I can’t do this. But even deep at the bottom, Jesus is the Anchor of my soul! I have a sure hope in You and the Father is faithful to keep His Word. Help me to stand on Your Word and keep my eyes on You, as You carry me through the storm. You are my joy and peace that I yield to right now. I will see victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Sharing Jesus, making disciples

January 13, 2017

“He said, “Throw the net off the right side of the boat and see what happens.” John 21:6, MSG.

Jesus called out to them, asking if they had any fish and upon hearing their reply instructed them to cast the nets to the other side of the boat. After they had done this the net was so full of fish that they couldn’t even drag it onto the boat. They had to drag the net full of fish ashore. Research says there were 153 large fish in the net and even though the weight was great, the net didn’t break.

This story is the perfect illustration for us in the instruction of evangelism. God wishes to empower you by His Word, to strengthen you (the net), so you may bring forth a great catch for Christ. If you just abide in Christ every single day, even if only for just a short time, you are strengthening yourself for this cause. Your Creator is blessing you to be a blessing to others. You might be the only bible someone will read today. Do you realize that God is seeking to change the world through you? Yes, we are just men, but God is with us. Just like the disciples’ net, you will be unbreakable and unstoppable in this pursuit.

I want to challenge you today to deny yourself (Matt 16:24) and only talk about everything God has done for you recently. If you were to take a few minutes and meditate on that, you will definitely find lots to talk about. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you reach out to someone in need of Him and help them go in the right direction. Be God-centered and make it all about Jesus, because your were made in His image for His purpose. I pray that you see the greatest and deepest miracle of all–the miracle of bringing someone to Jesus Christ.

Prayer: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, liberty to the oppressed and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. May these words You spoke come to fruition in me. My only desire is to see Your name be lifted on high and for Your eternal Glory to illuminate this world. Flood every willing heart with Your presence. I pray in the holy name of my Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

When will you jump?

January 12, 2017

“Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]” Proverbs 3:5-6, Amplified.

“When will you jump? What are you waiting for? Are you waiting for the perfect conditions, the perfect situation. You won’t get it. Rely upon Me. Trust in Me. At My voice, don’t hesitate on what I have spoken. I have given you the instruction. I have given you the command. I have given you the signal and the green light is here. Jump! Go! Do My work. Your time, your season is now. Right now it is time to receive. Right now it is time and you have to seize it. Seize it as if there were no tomorrow.” says the Lord.

Prayer: Father, thank You for confirming what You have already told me to do. I gotta jump. There’s no way around it. Give me a courageous faith to move forward into who I am, and what You have called me to do. You are my Rock and I believe as I jump, You are jumping with me! I’m going to enjoy this! I’m going to taste and see how good You are. Glory to God. Thank You Jesus! In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

The wisdom of quickly handling being offended

January 11, 2017

“Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires” James 1:19-20, NLT.

My wife has told me not to allow certain foods, like grits or oatmeal, to sit in the pot after they’ve been made. If you let them sit there, it hardens in the pot. The pot then becomes harder to clean than if it were cleaned right after it had been used.

You are a man, not a non-stick pot. You can get angry, frustrated, and yes, you can get offended. Yet, it is wiser to quickly handle your hurt than to let it sit there in your heart. It’s much better to quickly handle what you’re upset about right when it happens, than to let time go by and it begins to harden you toward them, and even God. You will give place to the enemy the longer you allow the offense to sit there. With that one seed, he will use it to produce pain, discord, division, arguments, unforgiveness, and bitterness in your life.

Don’t be prideful and live secretly offended. Don’t live secretly angry and hurt another moment. Learn how to be quick to listen and talk about it, quick to forgive, and quick to repent (quick to change and make your own adjustments). If you’ve been hurt, handle it swiftly. Love God’s law and imitate Him, as He loves and forgives us.

Prayer: Father, help me not to let it sit there. I desire for any seeds of offense to be plucked up and dealt with in my heart. Help me to not give the devil any place to come in and ruin the relationships I have. I will love Your law of forgiveness and imitate You. Teach me how to set things back right again quickly, just like You. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

He’s Able

January 10, 2017

“And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform” Romans 4:21, KJV.

If you’ve been to a circus, one of their acts is the strongest man in the world. When you see him, He is beyond built and he is flexing his muscles for the entire audience to see. The announcer loudly says, “Yes! Look at him! Look at those muscles. He can bend a bow of steel! He can lift a van off of the ground! He is able to move an entire fleet of cargo! Watch him lift this 500 lb weight with his pinky finger!”

When we hear that God is able, we sometimes look at ourselves. We can’t see Jesus, but can we see our situation. We can find ourselves predetermining the possibilities, the victory, based on our own power rather than His. You can’t see Him, yet He says look at what I did for Joshua and Israel making the walls of Jericho fall. Look at how I was with Moses to deliver Israel from Egypt in mighty ways. Look at how, even after his mistakes, I restored Peter and empowered him to win three thousand souls. I even raised my Son Jesus from the dead. God announces His ability in His Word!

God is able. He needs your faith and obedience so you can see, so He can show you what He is capable of doing in you and for you.

His performance is not based upon your performance. It is the Father desiring to display His goodness and His love in your life. It’s time to step out on what He says, so you can see Him move it, lift what needs lifting, change what needs changing, empower you by His grace to do what you can’t do on your own.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word. You truly are able and willing to move in my life in a mighty way. I take my eyes off of me and look upon Jesus. You are able to get me back on track. Nothing is impossible through You! Help me to give You my faith and obedience so I can experience what You can do. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Possess what God has for you

January 9, 2017

“Then Joshua said to the children of Israel: “How long will you neglect to go and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers has given you?” Joshua 18:3, NKJV.

There is a difference between having something and possessing something. A son can have an inheritance, but he still has to go and possess what has been given to him. God had given the children of Israel the promised land, yet they had to go and possess it.

As a man, I had to face the reality that if I don’t work the plan that God has given me, what is in my heart won’t happen. I won’t ever actually hold it in my hands. I am seeing more and more that I have to go get, go possess, what God has given me.

If you want what God has for you, if you want what He has shown you, if you want it to come to pass, you are going to have to go possess what He said is yours. It is not just going to happen. You are going to have to make it happen.

Don’t neglect or be slack about it. Sometimes, procrastination and neglect is fear disguised, which is something you must be honest about. Open up to God in prayer about any fears. Ask Him for the courage to face it head on and go get what the Father has for you.

God will not give you what you cannot possess!

Prayer: Father God, thank you for speaking directly to my heart. You wouldn’t have given me this dream, this idea, these goals, this ministry, if I couldn’t possess it. You gave it to me, therefore, You will help me do it. Thank You Lord for courage to possess what You have already given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Don’t wait to praise Him

January 8, 2017

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” Hebrews 13:15, KJV.

Don’t wait to praise Him for what He will do. Praise Him now! Praise Him for what He has spoken. Praise Him because you’ve seen Him move before and you know He will do it again. He is the same yesterday, today and forever!

Thank God for His peace and assurance that this season of your life will be unlike any other you’ve had before. Praise Him because He will make things new. He’s making things right. Praise Him because you’re breaking through. Let your praise keep you focused on God, not on what you see. Let praise continue to remind you that you have a big God on your side.

Your praise to God will show Him I’m still here, I’m still before You with my faith, trusting You will bring it to pass. Before He even does it, praising Him for it will keep you preparing for it. Before you even have to do what He is asking of you, praise Him now because He are going to help you do it.

This will be the most rewarding time of your life. Praise Him now!

Prayer: Father, I won’t wait to praise You. I’m praising You now. Each day help me to, on purpose, praise You for it. I thank You for how You are going to use me. I praise You for changing this man’s life. I praise you for the many blessings in store. Before I even see it physically, I see it by what You’ve shown me and I won’t wait to praise You! Hallelujah! If anyone can restore, You can!

January 7, 2017

“Oh, that I were as in the months of old, as in the days when God watched over me” Job 29:2, ESV.

“And the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning…” Job 42:12 ESV.

Job reminisced about the past. He went there. He went back to how life was before his challenges and losses came. He went back, for a moment, to how everything was flourishing, how he had it all, and there was no lack. He wanted those times back. But he trusted the Lord and Job’s latter was better, far better, far sweeter, even double, than what He had.

Your heavenly Father is a Restorer.

Leave the past where it is. Yes, it was perfect. Yes, you had it all. Yes, it was marvelous and you couldn’t any wrong. But you can’t live there. You have to let it go. You can’t keep your heart and mind always reminiscing about what you had, when there are great days ahead, even in front of you.

Your heavenly Father is a Restorer.

God is a good God and He restores in mighty ways for those that put their trust in Him. God can do what seems impossible and it doesn’t have to take Him long–trust His timing. Let your place be to do what He says, keep following Jesus forward, excited to know that your latter be greater. He’s going to make it even sweeter, even better than what you had.

Prayer: Father, thank You for being my Restorer. I have had some challenges and setbacks in my life, but You will restore me. You will make it even far better than what I had. Today, I let go of always reminiscing about the past and move forward, trusting in You! You are a good God and great in my eyes. I’ll keep doing what You say and keep following Jesus. My latter will be greater! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

His main concern

January 6, 2017

“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26, NKJV.

When someone has a main concern, it is what governs everything they do. Above you being blessed with accomplishments and things, God is interested in you living clean and living right. Before prospering you financially, He is concerned about prospering your character. Before He changes your address, His utmost desire is to change you. The Father’s mainly concerned about you having a clean heart. His will, what He tells you to do, and how He instructs you to spend your time, will reflect that.

Don’t expect God to put anything before you focusing on your sanctification and a pure heart. This is the greatest reward you can receive. This is the greatest outpouring of blessings you can receive. Let this become what you value. When you live upright and tell the truth. When you forgive and are above reproach. When you don’t accept bribes and you are a keeper of your word. There is nothing that matters more to God. If nothing else matters more to your heavenly Father, let nothing matter more to you also.

At the end of the day, the Father wants Christ to be formed in you. Let Him do it. This is the man that won’t be moved. This is the man that will ultimately be blessed.

Prayer: Father, I thank You today. Your main concern is me having clean hands and living right. Your main concern is my soul. Help me to focus on what is more value than anything I could ever accomplish in this life–Christ being formed in me. Nothing matters more than this. I will let You do this great work in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Steps to receive

January 5, 2017

“And they lifted up their voices and said, ‘Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!’ So when He saw them, He said to them, ‘Go, show yourselves to the priests.’ And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed” Luke 17:13-14, NKJV.

When Jesus walked the earth, He would heal someone when they asked. Sometimes, He would ask them to do something, a step, an instruction, and when they did it, or even as they did it, they would find themselves receiving what they asked for.

Many times with our daily walk, when you ask for something from God, before you receive what you’ve asked for, you will receive an instruction. He will speak to your heart and tell you to do something. It is now your opportunity, your window, your door to receive what you’ve asked for.

When you ask God to help my marriage, in the heat of a moment, He will ask you to forgive her. When you ask God to increase you financially, at the time your paycheck arrives, He will ask you to put some of it aside. You may ask God for some peace of mind, then the Father will ask you to read My Word. When you ask Him for His will to be done in your life, He will reveal His will and ask you to follow My Spirit into it.

When you ask for something from God, God is going to ask something of you. Do what He asks because they are the very steps to receive. No blessing, no reward comes without obedience. He will open the door for you, but your willingness and obedience is what will open the door for Him to powerfully move, so you can powerfully receive.

Prayer: Father, thank You for spending time with me. Thank You for speaking to me real plain. You always hear me when I ask You for anything. Help me to do what You ask of me so I can receive. According to Your Word, You will even do beyond what I can ask for or imagine! I praise You in advance for what You will do in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Faith is what’s going to get you there

January 4, 2017

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony” Hebrews 11:1-2, NKJV.

If faith was a cup, it is what you use to pick up what you are hoping for. If faith was a car, it is what you drive to get to God’s destination for your life.

If God said fall back and trust Me, faith says my God will catch me. If God said speak, faith says He will fill my mouth. If God said fast, faith says His grace will help you do it. If the Father says obey Me, faith says He has something good He’s trying to get to me.

If you want more faith to come into your life, God’s Word is what will bring it into your life. The more you hear God, the more faith will come.

Before you read it, consider what you are believing God for and locate those scriptures. Think on them, think on what He has spoken about this year and watch you begin to respond in faith to God. Watch you begin to respond in faith to His Spirit when He leads you to do something. The Father needs a faith response from you so He can bring His plans for you to pass!

Prayer: Father, I thank You for Your Word. This year, You have said You will do great things in my life. This a year of reward. This is a year of great outpouring from You! I believe You Lord! As You lead me by Your Spirit this year, help me to have a response of faith and obey You, most of all in how I live. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

There are so many blessings ahead of you. So much blessing you won’t be able to contain it all! So much God is going to do in your life. So many times you are going to say I was just thinking about that and God did it. So much favor you will have with man.

The Year of Reward has begun!

January 1, 2017

“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart” Psalms 37:4, NKJV.

Before the year ended God had already begun by blessing our family with something we had been waiting for. It was like a package that just showed up at our door. It was as if we just ran into God’s blessing and there was no work involved in receiving it. This is a year of reward, and God is already bringing to pass the desires of our heart.

Know that there are so many blessings ahead. So much abundance ahead. God is getting ready to do exceeding abundantly above all that you can ask or think, and it will all come without struggle or strain. You will effortlessly receive it and you will know that it’s from the Lord. For some of you, before the month is out you will see God bless you in many different ways. You will see favor on every way. Desires coming to pass. Grace to do what you never thought you could do. Doors the size of a garage are opening for you. Multiple streams of blessings all pointing to you.

“So don’t worry, says the Lord. Don’t worry at all. I’ve got in all under control. I’ve got in all in My hands. You just continue to seek Me. Continue to hunger and thirst after My righteousness and you will surely be filled. Filled to the overflow. Yes, for there is an outpouring. You’ll know it’s yours when it shows up. You will say, this is my reward from the Lord.”

Prayer: Hallelujah, Lord! Thank You for speaking directly to me. I worship You and I praise You for Your rewards. I am overwhelmed with thanksgiving. Be glorified in my life and help me not to worry at how You will do it. My trust is in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

In Due Time

December 31, 2016

“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly” Romans 5:6, KJV.

When you were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for you. No matter what you’re going through, if you’re in Christ, in due time you will see what Christ dying for you has given you. It has given you rescue, mercy, deliverance, favor, and right-standing with God. In due time, you will see how much God loves you, as He brings you out. In due time, you will see Him make it right. You will see His plan completely unfold. He will turn it around. In due time, you will see your restoration and blessings ahead, and you will say this is all a result of what Jesus has done for me.

This is how it always will be for a believer. Because He died, you will live and live more abundantly. All because of Jesus Christ and all that we have in Him, most of all, the forgiveness of sin.

Continue to stand in your righteousness and serve the Lord with a happy heart. Thank Him as you reflect on His goodness and mercy. Don’t be moved by what you’re going through. Know in due time He will always step in and bring you victory.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for all You have done. You are good and faithful. Thank You that I can trust You and Your timing. Thank You that in due time I will see Your plans come to pass. Thank You that what I’m going through has an expiration date. I trust that You will always bring victory in my life! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Happy is the man that trusts Him!

December 30, 2016

“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” Psalm 34:8, NKJV

In the Hebrew language, the word blessed in this scripture means “how happy!” Therefore, how happy is the man that trusts in God, not in the way that seems right to man, not in the deceitfulness of riches, not in a company or person, not in an opportunity with strings attached, not in pleasures, but trusting in God is where this man will continually find abundant happiness.

The man that trusts God has decided to hear what the Lord has to say and allows that to be how He lives, how he patterns his life, and how he handles his business affairs. He obeys God and He sees, tastes and discovers that God is good, merciful, favors him, and is on his side. This is the reason this man is so blessed, so happy.

Begin to truly trust the Father with everything in your life. You’ll see He wants you to succeed. He wants you to overcome. He wants to bless you over and over. When you allow Him to be Who you pursue, rely on and follow, you will experience how good God really is.

Prayer: Father, how blessed, how happy is the man that trusts in You! There is no one like You. I leap when I think about how good You are. Help me to realize how good You are and to simply trust You, for it is a sure blueprint to all of my happiness. You are my help and I will totally rely upon You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I’m taking up my cross

December 29, 2016

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me” Matthew 16:24, KJV.

Lately, I can say that I have not felt like getting up in the morning to study and pray. There have been other things on my mind like things ahead of me in my life, new business clients, and financial pursuits. I have also been tired and just feel like enjoying food, sports, Facebook, and TV.

Yet, with the decision before me to seek Him or not each day, what God has begun to spring up within my heart is that I have to take up my cross.

Taking up your cross is a decision as a believer you must daily make. Your day and your new year depends on it. Your family depends on it. Experiencing the will of God for your life depends on it. Taking up your cross is when you go before Him, and truly give up your will and your plans, for His will and His plans. It is the place where you give up your weakness and receive His power. The cross is the place where you give up your thoughts and ways about your situation, and let Him be Lord over it, and allow Him to guide your steps.

You can be a believer and decide not to take up your cross. Yet, you will wonder why you don’t experience the benefits and reward from your relationship with God–it is because you truly aren’t allowing Him to be God in your life.

Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly (John 10:10). Don’t be afraid of it, but embrace it. Follow Jesus into great change and great blessing in your life discovered through your cross.

Prayer: Father, this is hard, but I’m taking up my cross today. Here is my will and here are my plans, and I receive Yours. I will follow You Jesus. Here is my life and I put my trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word” Psalm 103:20, KJV.

When you don’t see anything happening, it can be challenging to remain confident and encouraged that God will come through when you need Him to. This is especially when you are in the heat of a situation right now. But know this: God’s eyes are on you, God’s ears are toward you and He will be right on time.

God has heard you. He has and He is moving on your behalf. God is moving like an underground workman, handling all the intricate details of our prayers, of our lives, that we can’t see. His angels move at His Word, on your behalf, in your marriage, lining up the increase, the opportunities, the favor, and the open doors that we can’t see. He is bringing about His perfect will for you.

Stay in faith and listen to His voice. Your God never sleeps nor slumbers! Praise Him with confidence because God is always in control, and He will be right on time.

Prayer: Thank You Father for encouraging me. I am having to trust You more and more. It brings me joy to know that You see me, that You hear me and that you are always on time. You won’t be late. I ask for patience as I wait on You. I will praise You now! Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

There’s a purpose for your wilderness

December 27, 2016

“Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end” Deuteronomy 8:16, KJV.

The wilderness is described as a barren and uninhabited place. It wasn’t a place suited for daily living, but a place meant to pass through. Most of all, it was a great place for shepherds to pasture their sheep. The Father could have easily parted the wilderness, just as He did the Red Sea, but He didn’t because there is a purpose for the wilderness.

There is a purpose for your wilderness. The Good Shepherd is pasturing you. Your wilderness appears to have nothing to offer on the outside, but God is doing a mighty work on the inside. There is a proving of the heart there. A humbling of the heart that is created in you. A dependency and trust in God alone. A knowledge of Who God will be for you and that He will provide. You see what God needed to do in you before you could enter into your promised land for your life.

He is going to get you to your promised land. You will not die in your wilderness. Don’t go back to where He brought you from. This will be used for your latter end, where He is taking you. He is molding you and know that you are passing through it.

Prayer: Father, this doesn’t feel good what I’m going through. Yet, I will trust You. In this wilderness experience, mold me. Shape me into the man You have called me to be. I’m not going back. Prove me and have Your way. I will yet praise You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He is your God

December 26, 2016

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:19, KJV.

The writer made it personal in regards to how he referred to God. It is similar to ownership, such as my wife or my child. God isn’t just another believer’s God. He isn’t a God that is far off. He is my God.

In your challenge, in whatever mountain is before you, in whatever success you are in pursuit of, make God personal to you. Bring Him close to where you are. Make your relationship with Him even more relevant and powerful at this moment, making a difference in your fight of faith and in your confidence. Don’t leave Him afar off. Acknowledge Him not only as God, but He is your God.

Your God will supply all of your need! Your God will help. Your God will deliver. Your God will heal. Your God will speak to you when you ask what to do. He doesn’t just provide for someone else. The same God is Your God, and He will provide for you also.

Make it a point to say He is my God. There is no more barrier of sin between you and the Father by Christ Jesus.

Prayer: Father, You just don’t provide for someone else, You provide for me. You are my God too. You belong to me and I belong to You. I am Your son and You won’t let me down. I believe You are able! I praise You in advance for meeting all my needs. You are my God. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

The Greatest Gift

December 25, 2016

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matthew 1:23, NKJV

This time, this moment that we abundantly enjoy every year is very special. The love, peace and joy that fills our God, fills the entire earth. It cannot be contained. With the exalting of Jesus Christ, the Father pours out everything He is, and man, whether saved or not, is witness to what happens when God gives His greatest gift.

His greatest gift to us is Jesus Christ. He is God’s best gift, to be with us and to never leave. Remember that He is truly the reason that we can come together and we experience the outpouring of love that we do in this season. He was born for you, died for you and rose for you! He came that you might life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Appreciate God’s gift to you, which nothing can compare to the overflowing, wonderful, life-changing, eternal gift of Jesus. Share the greatest gift of Jesus Christ with someone today.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your holy gift to us–Jesus Christ, our Lord and King. We exalt You! Everything we experience in this season is because You gave the greatest gift, Your Son to be with us and to save us. Help me to be thankful even beyond this season that Jesus was born for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!

December 24, 2016

“Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy” Psalm 107:2, KJV.

Redeemed in Hebrew means to to be next of kin, as in to buy back a relative’s property. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. It means let the redeemed say that they have been redeemed. “Why should I say it? Why should I say that have been bought back by the precious sacrifice of Jesus Christ?”

There is something powerful about saying where you belong and what the Lord has done for you. When you actually say you’re redeemed, it reminds you of who you are. You were far away in the enemy’s hands, but Jesus bought you back and you’re home now. No matter what you go through, He has given you a home for your soul, a place of rest. Jesus paid the price for you and you are in the family of God.

It helps you not forget your place in God and remember the devil’s place in your life. The devil, nor sin, has no level of ruler-ship in any area of your life, and he doesn’t want you to say it. But don’t be silent. You are no longer the enemy’s property, but you are God’s son and whom the Son has sets free, is free indeed.

No matter what you face, you can be still and trust God, saying and expecting to always receive everything, every promise, every provision, that comes with your mighty redemption. Say I’m redeemed!

Prayer: Father, thank You for what Jesus has done for me. I am redeemed and I say so! I speak according to what You say, not what I see. Help me to line up my mouth to speak of my redemption. I belong to You. I thank You and I declare I am redeemed! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

2017 – A Year of Reward

December 23, 2016

While in prayer, the Lord revealed to me how 2017 will be a Year of Reward! We believe God’s going to reward your diligence and your faithfulness to Him and His kingdom. He’s going to reward your labor of love and cause you to reap in numerous ways. The year 2017 will be your best year yet! Wait and see!

Let these scriptures minister to your heart regarding this prophetic Word from God:

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

“After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.” Genesis 15:1

“The wicked works a deceitful work: but to him that sows righteousness shall be a sure reward.” Proverbs 11:18

“But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. ” Luke 6:35

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your mighty Word which You are able to perform. Thank You that there’s not only reward for me in heaven, but in this life as well. Help me to remain diligent and faithful. Help me to continue to love my enemies and pray for them, not against them. I praise You now for a Year of Reward! Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

More of Him

December 22, 2016

“For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end” Psalm 48:14, NIV.

I don’t need of more of me in my life. I have seen what more of me can do.

There’s things that only He can do. There’s strength only He can provide. There’s ideas that only He can give. There’s valleys that only He can carry you through. There are fears that only He can get you over. There are walls that only He can breakthrough.

It comes to a point in your life that you realize what you need and it is more of Him in your life. Desire more of His will reigning in your life. Desire more of His love. Desire more of His counsel. Want more of His results in your life.

He is the Creator, Alpha and Omega, our Lord of all and desires to do more in your life than you can fathom. He wants to do so much more if you would turn to Him. He will bring so much victory in your life if you would pursue more of Him.

Come to the end of having more of you. You’ve found that you can only do so much, you can only reach so far, you only have so much ability. In every place, desire more of Him.

Prayer: Father, thank You that you say I can ask and I will receive. I want more of You in my life. You are ultimately Who can make me a great man. Give me more of You. I want more of Your will, more of Your plan, more of Your results and change in me. Help me let go of it all and desire more of You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Don’t fret. Give it to God in prayer.

December 21, 2016

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:6-7 NIVUK.

I get chills when I consider that Paul wrote this text to the Philippians from a prison cell. It shows how amazing it is that you can have the peace of God reigning in your heart even under such circumstances when we pray.

Paul gives us clear and concise instructions as to how a man of God should be in his nature. Naturally, it is human to try to solve it ourselves. We try to decide and rule over the outcome. I have been guilty of trying to rule over my own life and solve it myself. Yet when I don’t pray, I am simply showing God that I don’t need Him, when the truth is He is all and everything I need.

Brothers, as men of God we must come into the habit of having a prayerful life. He wants it to be natural for us to bring everything to Him in prayer, no matter what it is, and not fret. We let Him solve it, let Him decide and let Him rule over the outcome, trusting in Him. Give it to God and go to sleep. Pray as though you have already received what you have asked for because He will provide.

Starting today, be an ocean of calm and pray about everything more than you have ever prayed before. The fruit of every prayer is peace.

Prayer: Father God. Thank you for Your ever-abounding mercy and great kindness. Thank you that You always hear me and that You will answer. Link us all, every single man, as one as we usher in Your Kingdom through prayer and faith. Abide with us as we abide with You. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

Do what you were born to do!

December 20, 2016

“For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost” Matthew 18:11, KJV.

Like all men, Jesus had a vocation while on earth. He did what we as men do. We work for a living, and Jesus was a carpenter by trade. That is what He did, but that wasn’t Who He was. At the appointed time, Jesus moved from being a carpenter into being the Savior.

Jesus wasn’t fearful and worried about leaving carpentry. The Bible makes no mention of Him having any concern about how becoming the Savior would affect His life or income. He simply obeyed the Father and moved on from carpentry to save us. He moved from working for a living, to do what He lived for.

When will you do what you live for? The time comes when you have to do what you were born to do. If Jesus would have remained a carpenter, He wouldn’t have become our Savior. If you remain just a mechanic, just an engineer, only a doctor, how will those around you be saved? As God takes care of the sparrow, as He daily waters the grass, your Provider will take care of you.

Follow God. He may direct your path to make the type of step that Jesus did. He also may not tell you to leave your vocation, but to begin doing what God has put in your heart to do within your vocation–right where you are. Either way, it’s time to move from just being a carpenter and to do what you live for.

Prayer: Father, You didn’t just create me to work. I was born to be to make disciples and advance Your kingdom. Help me to know and obey Your voice. Help me to not be fearful, but like Jesus, put my trust in You and do what I was born to do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Quick obedience towards your wife.

December 19, 2016

“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ” Ephesians 5:21, NIV.

“Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers” 1 Peter 3:7, NIV.

We talk about having quick obedience to God, but we also have to be quick to listen to the needs of our spouse and do what they ask.

One evening, my wife shared her heart with me. She wanted us to increase the romance in our marriage. She wanted to feel more cherished and loved. Because I had been working long hours at work, I would come home feeling tired. I knew what my wife needed and I wanted to minister to those needs quickly. After I spent some quality time with her, in return, she did some things that I was desiring her to do without even being asked. One seed of selfless love opened the door for an entire harvest of love in return.

A lot of times it isn’t a prayer issue. It’s a matter of listening to what your wife wants from you and doing it. As long as it lines up with the Word of God, it is the will of God to meet her needs.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word and for Your great desire to bless my marriage. Help me to walk in Your love toward her. Help me to listen to her needs and quickly look for ways to meet those needs. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Obey and He will make a way!

“Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing…” Joshua 3:15-16, NIV.

Today I am so thankful to serve an almighty God. A God Who makes the impossible possible. When the Israelites crossed the Jordan river into the promised land, they did so on dry ground. As they obeyed and put their feet in the Jordan, God stopped the flow of the river, even in its’ flood time.

Brother, the same way God demonstrated His power in Israelites, He will do the same in yours. The key is obedience. Hearing God’s voice and doing what He says without delay is key to experiencing Him making a way. If He tells us to turn right and there you will find the way I’ve made, but you say God I turned left, where is it? You cannot expect to receive what He has for you. If you obey, He will make a way.

If you ask the Lord to reveal His will to You, it will be done (Matt 7:7), and when you decide to walk in it, just as the Israelites, there will be no obstacle impossible that you cannot cross. They will be cast into the seas.

Prayer: Father, thank you for adding Your strength to my life and carrying me on Your wings. Thank You that I can ask and it WILL be given. I ask to hear You voice and I as obey, you will make a way. Thank You for eradicating every obstacle and enemy before me. Bless and fortify my brothers and let none of the glory be visited upon us, for all the glory is Yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen

In times of suffering it may be hard to hear God’s voice. Everything is difficult and you fear you may never see the light of day again. Today I am here to tell you to hold on for weeping endures in the night and joy comes in the morning. The battles you think you have to fight have already been won by God. May knowing the glory that shall be revealed in you cause you to bear up and mightily stand.

He will give you new strength and new energy. With His wings you will fly in the highest heavens. All you need to do is lift your arms, like Moses had to lift his staff to do God’s work, and Joshua had to raise his sword against Ai to ensure victory. Lift your arms and surrender for there is freedom in surrender and the plans God has for you are always good.

Prayer: Father God. Thank You for strengthening me with Your Word. I pray that You saturate my soul with Your presence today, that You may overflow and spill forth from my being and give birth to new glories in Your Name. Nothing compares to the glory that shall be revealed in me. Let nothing stand in my way as I seek to do Your will. In the name of my Lord Jesus Christ, Amen!

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come” John 16:13, ESV.

There is a ride at a water amusement park called the lazy river. It flowed in one direction, and nothing could change the current of it, nor can you fight against it. This river was designed that if you would relax and flow with it, it would carry you throughout the park.

Like that river, The Holy Spirit is described as living water, and He’s always flowing. Always leading and guiding. He never stops. At every turn, every decision, every situation, the Holy Spirit is flowing with the very grace, the words to say, the wisdom for living, the Word from God you need to bless your life. He flows with God ideas, and ways to use your gifts to prosper you.

Some of us are fighting against the current of the Holy Spirit, instead of flowing with the Holy Spirit. It is time to quit fighting the current. Quit fight the direction He’s trying to take you. The love of God is too strong. Lay back and flow with His leading so He can carry you right into the truth of God’s will. The Father wants to show up do all the awesome things you hear that He can do in your life.

Trust God and flow with His Spirit.

Prayer: Father, I ask to receive the Holy Spirit. I ask that You open my eyes to His leading. I desire to live a blessed life. You are always leading and guiding, and Holy Spirit, I’m going to flow with You into everything God has for me. I quit fighting against the current. I’m living Your way. I’m flowing with You in every area of my my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God’s going to bring your dreams to pass.

December 15, 2016

“Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more. Then they said to one another, “Look, this dreamer is coming” Genesis 37:5 & 19, NKJV.

God gives all of us dreams. It may not be a literal dream, yet you can say He has shown you something about your life. You know it was no one but Him. He gave it to you and it keeps you going. It gives you joy, encourages and strengthens you. It helps you to endure and continue to press forward in spite of your challenges.

God has given you a dream, yet like Joseph, you didn’t know what you may experience before you get there. Joseph was set up and sent to slavery by his very own brothers, his own family. He went through something, just like you and I. He had to decide to have faith and trust God, just like you and I.

Yet, God divinely used it to ultimately escort him right into the very dream his brothers were trying to stop. God is all-knowing, all-wise, all-powerful, and no matter what you’ve experienced, the devil cannot stop whatever God has shown you. God takes it all and divinely turns it to escort you into the very plan the devil is trying to derail.

So be encouraged. Remain a dreamer. Don’t let go of it because of what you’ve been through. I don’t know why He allowed it, but like Joseph, you will end up blessed and being a mighty blessing. You’ll see. Keep that dream from an awesome God. He will surely bring it to pass.

Confession: I am a not giving up on my dream! God has fashioned me to do great things for His glory. My God is faithful! Everything will work for me and I will arrive at my dream. I will keep my eyes on an awesome God. I will keep the joy of it before me. I will keep trusting God because He will bring my dreams to pass!

Are you hearing the trumpet sound? Are you hearing the chariots prepare? Do you hear heaven’s roar? The Lord is returning and He says time is of the essence.

Make your calling and election sure. Make the most of your open doors. Take your time with nothing, but go swiftly into His will. Move your feet. Make those calls to your friends, for they just may need to hear from you. Pour wisdom into your children, setting them on a right path. Romance your wife and love her dearly. Give yourself away. By faith break forth man of God! Work the works of Jesus while it is day, for the night comes where no man can work.

If you desire to bear fruit, live in the Spirit

December 13, 2016

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law” Galatians 5:22-23, NKJV.

The Bible refers to love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control as the fruit of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is like a mighty tree that bears all of this amazing fruit, and just like physical fruit, they are good and they satisfy.

Every one of these fruits come, flow out of, are produced by the Holy Spirit. They aren’t anything we can bear in and of ourselves. They all extend from the Holy Spirit, which we can receive and continually bear. No matter the situation, if you live in the Spirit, you will bear whatever fruit your challenge calls for because this mighty Tree doesn’t grow in the ground. This mighty Tree lives inside of you.

Everything you need to maintain your stance in God in these times, to love, to have self-control, to be good to others, to be a man of joy and peace, and respond like Him each day, is found not in your own ability, but by living in the Holy Spirit. Full your mouth, and your home with song and praise. Full your mind with His Word, let Him lead you and live in the Spirit.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your mighty Spirit that lives inside of me. Teach me how to live in Him. Help me to full my home and my mouth with praise. Help me to keep my mind on Your Word. Help me to stay full of Your Spirit, that I may glorify You by the fruit my life bears. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

All night some of the disciples had been pursuing to make a catch and nothing worked. Jesus told them to cast your net on the right side and you’ll find some. When they did what the Lord said, then they reaped abundant success.

There have been times where I just came to the end of myself. I came to an end of my ability, doing it my way, leaning on what I think will work and going in the direction that seems best, continuing to find myself not reaping in life. Only when I did what the Lord said, is when the plan and blessings of God unfolded for me.

There are great blessings in store for you. Your fulfillment is at the door. Your financial increase is so close. Yet, it will only be experienced when you honestly answer that you haven’t caught anything, and come to the end of yourself, your own understanding, your own intellect, and decide to do what the Lord said. To be honest as a man, at one point I just didn’t know where I was going in life. I didn’t know God’s will from me. I didn’t understand His plan. I didn’t have any direction or know His purpose for my life.

Have you ever been there? You may be there right now. If you are, it’s okay. God knew you would be right where you are, and He knows how to guide you right where you need to be. He wants you to come to Him and find out everything He knows about you.

Before He formed you, He knew you.

He knows what He created you to do. He knows every gift He placed on the inside you and things you blessed to do with joy and ease. He knows the things you have a passion and burden for. He knows what He has called you to do.

He had a specific purpose in mind when He created you and that will not change, regardless of what you’ve been through. Set yourself to move forward, seeking the Lord for everything ordained for you. Exalt the Lord above your circumstance!

December 10, 2016

God will always bless you when you give.

December 9, 2016

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” Luke 6:38, KJV.

My son said to me, “Guess what daddy? Christian (brother) was sad today at the store because he needed a dollar to buy something, so I gave him one.” “That’s great. That was nice of you”, I said. He then hesitantly responded, “Yeah, mommy said God will bless me, but I don’t believe it.” I then reminded Him of how God has blessed him before, and he remembered and was glad.

Some of us may have had the same experience. God asks you to give and you do it for the right reason, yet you doubt that He’s really going bless you for obeying Him. Yet, if you remember the times that you have given before, there was not a time that God didn’t bless you, and that should make you glad. According to His Word, when you give, He will give back to you pressed down, shaken together and running over will He cause men to give to you. He may cause men to give back to you in money, or it could be with favor, help, wisdom, knowledge that people usually pay for, an opportunity, and things that you need.

Whether it is your time or resources, when you do good for God, He will always be good to you. Not that you do it to get; that is just how good God is! That is just the heart of the Father. You will never out give God and His desire is to bless you.

Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to me about giving. I will give, and I will not doubt You. I remember how You blessed me before and it makes me glad. No one loses when I give. You want me to know that You desire to bless me, therefore, I believe You. You are just that good! Help me to always be a cheerful about giving to advance Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Cause Me to Run!

December 8, 2016

“Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us” Philippians 3:13-14, MSG.

Pray this with me today: Father, I praise You and there is no one like You. Cause me to run with joy like the wind. Ignite a fire and excitement in me to go after what You have for me. Make to run for Jesus like I never have before. Let it even blow my own mind how my heart begins to pursue You more, pursue Your calling more.

Help me to trust You indeed have put greatness in me. I am a great man fashioned by a great God. My past is gone. I can do what You have put in my heart to do. Fill me with Your Spirit and help me to run in such way that I obtain the prize–the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Empower me to run fearlessly and unashamed. Empower me to press. Help me remain focused on Your goals before me and I thank You for causing me to run for You. Thank You Lord. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Don’t focus on the problem. Fix your eyes on Jesus.

December 7, 2016

“My eyes are ever toward the LORD, for he will pluck my feet out of the net” Psalms 25:15, ESV.

In life, it can be easy to have our eyes fixed on the problem because they are right before us. It’s so easy to look at the situation and become depressed, discouraged and feel as though there’s no hope.

Keep your eyes on Jesus. The devil wants to use your current situation to distract your eyes from looking unto God. He wants to distract your ears from being set on hearing God, because if you can hear God, He will guide you. If you set your ears on hearing God, you will hear His voice.

Don’t focus on the problem. Fix your eyes on Jesus and you will see everything that He’s given you and all of the promises He has made.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word. I’m not looking at the problem. My eyes are on You. My eyes are on how awesome You are. My eyes are on how faithful You are. You are almighty and there is none like You. My mind is set on Your Word. My ears are set on listening to what You say about my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Talk Victory

December 6, 2016

“In God we boast all day long, and praise Your name forever. Selah”, Psalm 44:8, NKJV.

The last thing the devil wants to do is deal with a believer that talks victory. Every time he comes against you, all he hears is your talk of faith and victory.

A victorious believer is a speaking believer about how he will overcome through Christ. This the man that praises and makes his boast in the Lord. No matter what he sees, a victory-speaking believer is agreeing with God’s Word, and finds joy right where he is.

Your words hold life and power, and within your boast is a stirring of your mighty faith. When you boast, it helps you to see clearly your outcome in God. You see clearly that indeed great things are in store for you. Don’t allow the devil to deceive you into talking about defeat because there is none found in God. Stand toe-to-toe with the devil and declare who your God is. Celebrate in his face and tell him he is no match for the Great I AM. Boast on how God did it last time and it will be no different this time. Boast on how Jesus is Lord and that He lives in you. His plan for your life is unfolding right before you and you serve an awesome God.

Prayer: Father, Thank You for Your Word. You have overcome for me. Help me to not talk defeat, but victory! By faith, it is already done! I boast in your face devil that My God is good and He is able! Thank You God I have victory in this situation. Thank You for the awesome plan You have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Lord, Have Your Way

December 5, 2016

“Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths.” Psalms 25:4, NKJV.

The Father’s way, His course of action, His will is the best way. Your way may on the surface appear better or even more sure, but there is nothing like allowing God to have His way in your life. In His hands He holds life, good instruction, wisdom, success, and strength. In His will is where your desires get met. Everything you could ever dream of, He will exceed your expectations because He is just that good.

Our way won’t work. Let God do what He wants to do in your life. Don’t restrain Him or hold Him back. Let His Spirit fill you and use you today like never before. Let His praise flow from your mouth and make Him big in your circumstance. Let advancing His kingdom be what you’re all about. Let Him have His way in you and through you.

Prayer: Father, thank You for another day and I ask that You have Your way. Have Your way in me. Have Your way on my job. Have Your way in my children. Have Your way in my wife. Have Your way in the earth. I surrender to You and allow You to use me in a mighty way. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

If you show up, He will show out.

December 4, 2016

All Goliath’s Talk, But All Goliath’s Fall

December 3, 2016

Use your faith right where you are.

December 2, 2016

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith” Romans 1:17, KJV.

God is going to come right where you are. You will see His reward right where you are. You will see Him move right where you are. You are looking for answers, it is right in the use of your faith. You are looking for increase financially, it is right in the use of your faith.

When your wife or significant other says something that hurts your feelings or rubs you the wrong way, use your faith to not say something to hurt her just like she just hurt you. Have faith in God and respond with something good. Or have faith and not even respond at all. Just say thank You Jesus.

When you wake up in the morning, it takes using your faith to say God wants me to pray and spend time in His Word, but it appears I have things to do that are important. You have to use your faith and say God says nothing is more important than to begin my day seeking Him and I will have faith that He will take care of me.

When you feel like you don’t know what to do, what decision to make, or where to turn. Use your faith and say I know I have friends, but God tells me if I need wisdom, if I need to know what to do, I can come to Him and He will answer me. I don’t have to figure it out, He already has it figured out.

Right where you are, use your faith!

Prayer: Father, I thank You for giving us all a measure of faith. Help me to use it today. Grow it by Your Word today. Guide me by Your Spirit. I will rely on and put my total trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

I am not giving up on your plan for me. I am determined to follow You all the way. No matter what is going on in this world, nothing will move my faith in You. I will continue to trust You! I will remain excited and encouraged! You didn’t quit on me and I am not quitting on You. I do believe. Come Learn From the Best

November 30, 2016

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” Matthew 11:28-30, NKJV.

When you decide to be meek and learn from God’s Word, you are deciding to walk with Him. When you decide to pray, ask questions and hear what He has to say about your life, you are walking with Him. You are deciding to come and learn life from the best–Jesus Christ–and the Master will teach you how to handle what is before you, walk by faith and live victorious. You will find a mighty rest for your soul. He will mold you into the man God called you to be. No one can change you like the Lord.

Be A Humble Man

November 29, 2016

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14, NKJV

Humility has several meanings, but one is to bend the knee out of high reverence and honor of God’s sovereignty. We decline on having control and we bend down in our heart, allowing God’s will as the only counsel that stands in our lives, even above our own. It takes a humble man to say You are Lord and then live like it. It takes a humble man to say that I can’t do it, and then bend down to give God room to show him how.

When we humble ourselves, He is allowed to be our provider, our wisdom, and our strength. He will fuel your passion. He will build your faith. He’ll give you a second wind. He will heal and bless your life. It all begins with recognizing your unchanging need for Him. We then move out of His seat, making empty His rightful place. When He is allowed in His rightful place in our lives, the stage is set for change. The stage is set for reaching your potential as a man. Humble yourself and let Him change your life today.

Prayer: Father, I sincerely thank You for Your Word. Humility is vital to my relationship with You. It is vital for any change in my life. Help me to be a humble man and obey You. I admit that I can’t fix me, but You can. I bend the knee of my heart and allow You to have Your way in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Confident in this–He’s not done with you.

November 27, 2016

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” Philippians 1:6, KJV.

Confidence will keep you going. Confidence will keep you in the ring. Confidence will keep you pressing forward. You can be confident that God isn’t done with you. He will never leave nor forsake you. You’re not like a car that has too many issues, too much to fix and God says I’m leaving you where you are. You have messed up too many times, and you are beyond what I am willing to do. It’s never over when you’re in His hands.

God says you are My son, and I will perform what I begun in you. I will finish what I am doing in your life. He is faithful that called you. God never sleeps nor slumbers. Night and day, the Lord your God is doing a good work in you. You can be confident of that. Whether you feel like He’s close or you feel like your last sin, don’t let go of your confidence toward Him. Keep pursuing the Lord. Hold you head up in confidence as a son to a father — He is not done with you!

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your love and faithfulness. Thank You that I can always be confident of the good work You have begun in me. You will perform it until the day Jesus Christ. I am before you and I gladly say keep working on me Lord. Thank You for continually working on me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Where is my financial increase?

November 26, 2016

“Jesus said, ‘Then the children get off free, right? But so we don’t upset them needlessly, go down to the lake, cast a hook, and pull in the first fish that bites. Open its mouth and you’ll find a coin. Take it and give it to the tax men. It will be enough for both of us’.” Matthew 17:27, MSG

It is interesting that Jesus told Peter to go fishing to find the money needed to pay their taxes. Peter was not only called to be a fisher of men, he was a fisherman by trade. It was his profession, it’s what he was good at and he was gifted to do it. Jesus instructed him to do what He was good at to find monetary increase.

“Where is my financial increase?” Do what you’re good at and you will find your increase. That is where you will find the financial increase that you’ve been looking for. You have to be like Peter, not be afraid, and do what the Lord says. Trust God with that gift, Who gave it to you to serve others and to bless you also. If you don’t use what you’re good at, He can’t cause it to prosper you.

Just like within the fish, it may be rare that a piece of money, of all places, will be found in what you’re good at, but the Lord will cause it to be. So step out and do what He says, because there you will abundantly find your increase, and great joy also.

Prayer: Father, I have been looking for my financial increase and it is right in front of me. I need to trust You and do what I’m good at. That’s where it is. Help me to not fear and believe You. I’m going to go forward in faith and get what You have for me and my family, and so I can be a great blessing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Don’t Let Go of His Promises

November 25, 2016

I’m Thankful!
