“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” Luke 6:45, NKJV
In life, we truly have what we say, and out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Your heart is full of something and whatever you fill your heart with, that is what you will find yourself, intentionally or unintentionally, talking about. If you find yourself complaining about where you are on your job, saying you will always be struggling with this or that, saying that you will always be broke, saying you’re tired of living, saying you’re not qualified, or you can’t do this, then that is what your heart is full of.
Fill your heart with what God says. He says He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). He says He’ll supply all your need (Philippians 4:19). This is the key to your joy. This is the key to endurance. This is the key to you not quitting because when pressure comes, your abundance of what God says will come out of you. When fear says you can’t do it, God’s Word will respond and say yes He will! God’s Word will turn your heart into a believing machine, your speech will change and what you produce in your life will change too.
Prayer: Thank You Father for Your Word, which You have supplied in abundance. As a man, I know how to eat physically in abundance, however, help me to eat spiritually in abundance too. Overhaul anything evil in my heart and change what I speak and what I believe. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
