Learning Patience

February 24, 2017

“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:4, NKJV

Sometimes, we wonder why God hasn’t moved yet. Why something hasn’t happened yet, or when will God allow you to do something. God is just as a natural father, and sometimes, He will shape in our character patience. It may not feel good at the moment, yet, once patience is complete, you won’t lack the perfect will of God for your life.

Patience produces priority in our lives, establishing what is more important and more needful for us. Patience produces the right perspective, humbling our hearts to be thankful and content with God being God alone. Content with knowing He knows whats best for you. Above all, God is working in you the attribute of trusting Him, to where when He blesses you with what you desire, it won’t turn you away from Him because you can handle it.

Let patience have her perfect work. Like being in the next room in your home, know that God is in another room, working on something needful in you that you are not aware of. He is preparing a woman for you that you are not aware of. He is opening doors that you are not aware of. He is working on blessing you with something far better than what you could ask for. He is building your trust in Him and preparing you for glorious things.

Prayer: Father, You are a good God and I have to admit, my faith is being tested and You are teaching me how to be patient. It is hard, yet it is doing an invaluable work in my life. It is humbling me, knowing that You are God and You know what I need. You know what’s best for me. Help me to learn patience right now and to know that You are working on something great for me. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
