“For You are my lamp, O Lord; the Lord shall enlighten my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop; by my God I can leap over a wall” Psalm 18:28-29, NKJV.
Sometimes a man just needs some confidence. It is amazing what a little confidence will do. You may not be superman, but God wants your confidence to be as if you were through Christ. David was roughly 5 feet tall, yet he believed he could leap over a wall and he could run through a troop. His confidence was that he could do it by God.
Let all of your confidence be rooted from a great confidence in God. Jesus lives in you. Someone with power lives in you. Someone with wisdom lives you. By Him, you can leap over your walls and you can run through a troop of your enemies! By Him, you can do what He is asking of you.
Don’t cast away your confidence, for it has great reward! For some of us men, all the pieces are there, and this is the final piece you need. Confidence will cause you to take the risk. It will cause you to take the leap over all fear. It will cause you to run with the vision God has put in your heart. You are confident in His ability, His plan, and like David, by God you can do anything!
Prayer: Father, thank You for believing in me. Thank You that others believe in me. But it is vital that I believe in me too. I will put my confidence in You! Help me God to leap over all fear. Lord, tear down anything hindering me, even in my past. I’m going to do it! Help me be confident in the gifts inside of me. Add this final piece in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
