Run with your vision

January 23, 2017

“Then the Lord answered me and said: Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.” Habakkuk 2:2, NKJV

The prophet Habakkuk was seeking God for His response on what He will do about the Chaldeans that were violent and wicked against God’s people. He wanted to know what would God do, so he set himself to hear from the Lord. God then responds, telling him to write the vision that I give you, make plain on tablets so they that read it, can run with it.

Now is the time to set yourself to not only hear from God your vision and to run with it. There may be a crooked generation around you, yet He will give you His vision, His will for your life, to impact the world. Once He supplies it, write it down. He will give it to you plainly for you to write down plainly what He speaks to you.

When you have a vision, it is your vision. It is what you see. When you write it down, you now are helping others to see it too–the people who God will send after you. God will gladly add to you the people you need, but a clear vision is required so they can run with you. Begin with what you already know. Take the time to write it down. Then, pursue to execute it. Be encouraged to run and not get weary because the vision will surely come to pass!

Prayer: Father, You have a vision for my year and for my life. I desire to do my part to impact the world for Jesus. I set myself to know the vision You have for me. Speak to me and help me to write it down plainly, so those that You send to me can run with it. Grace me to run with it. Also, help me to serve and help someone else’s vision. Lead me to whoever you would have me to help run with and we all will advance Your kingdom together. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
