Where is my financial increase?

November 26, 2016

“Jesus said, ‘Then the children get off free, right? But so we don’t upset them needlessly, go down to the lake, cast a hook, and pull in the first fish that bites. Open its mouth and you’ll find a coin. Take it and give it to the tax men. It will be enough for both of us’.” Matthew 17:27, MSG

It is interesting that Jesus told Peter to go fishing to find the money needed to pay their taxes. Peter was not only called to be a fisher of men, he was a fisherman by trade. It was his profession, it’s what he was good at and he was gifted to do it. Jesus instructed him to do what He was good at to find monetary increase.

“Where is my financial increase?” Do what you’re good at and you will find your increase. That is where you will find the financial increase that you’ve been looking for. You have to be like Peter, not be afraid, and do what the Lord says. Trust God with that gift, Who gave it to you to serve others and to bless you also. If you don’t use what you’re good at, He can’t cause it to prosper you.

Just like within the fish, it may be rare that a piece of money, of all places, will be found in what you’re good at, but the Lord will cause it to be. So step out and do what He says, because there you will abundantly find your increase, and great joy also.

Prayer: Father, I have been looking for my financial increase and it is right in front of me. I need to trust You and do what I’m good at. That’s where it is. Help me to not fear and believe You. I’m going to go forward in faith and get what You have for me and my family, and so I can be a great blessing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
