Too Blessed to be Stressed at Work

March 27, 2017

“The good person is generous and lends lavishly; no shuffling or stumbling around for this one, but a sterling and solid and lasting reputation. Unfazed by rumor and gossip, heart ready, trusting in God, spirit firm, unperturbed, ever blessed, relaxed among enemies” Psalm 112:6-7, The Message Bible.

It can be stressful when I consider the demands at work. There are stressors at work with performance, promotion pursuits, job security, and when there are production goals to meet. Yet, my manager doesn’t bring stress toward us, nor does he create a stressful environment. He says we like to have good time while we work. He says to do what you can. He says if you make a mistake, don’t sweat it because it can be fixed. He also says life is too short. If you need to spend time with your family, he says don’t worry about overtime, because your family is most important above all.

The people you work with may be stressed, afraid, anxious, impatient, and worried about all of the above. Yet, your heavenly Father says don’t you be that way. Don’t stress out over your job or your pursuit for promotion–He is the One that holds every outcome in your life, not man. Don’t worry if you make a mistake because He will fix it. Have a good time at work and enjoy your life.

He says for all your demands, give them to Me. He says do what you can, do what’s right and trust Me with the rest, but don’t live heavy like that at your job. He says keeps your eyes on what is most important in life, which is not a company or business, but on Him, on your family and on kingdom work. Put it in God’s hands in prayer as things arise and worry about nothing. Leave your job at its’ address. You are too blessed to be stressed!

Prayer: Father, I give You praise this morning! Thank You for Your truth that has removed the heaviness of stress from me. You are right Lord! Life is short and I choose not to stress this stuff. I am too blessed to be stressed at work. I will do my best as unto You, and let You handle every outcome. Have a good time at work and enjoy your life. May my attitude of trust in You, impact those around me too. In Jesus’ name Amen!
