Don’t fret. Give it to God in prayer.

December 21, 2016

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:6-7 NIVUK.

I get chills when I consider that Paul wrote this text to the Philippians from a prison cell. It shows how amazing it is that you can have the peace of God reigning in your heart even under such circumstances when we pray.

Paul gives us clear and concise instructions as to how a man of God should be in his nature. Naturally, it is human to try to solve it ourselves. We try to decide and rule over the outcome. I have been guilty of trying to rule over my own life and solve it myself. Yet when I don’t pray, I am simply showing God that I don’t need Him, when the truth is He is all and everything I need.

Brothers, as men of God we must come into the habit of having a prayerful life. He wants it to be natural for us to bring everything to Him in prayer, no matter what it is, and not fret. We let Him solve it, let Him decide and let Him rule over the outcome, trusting in Him. Give it to God and go to sleep. Pray as though you have already received what you have asked for because He will provide.

Starting today, be an ocean of calm and pray about everything more than you have ever prayed before. The fruit of every prayer is peace.

Prayer: Father God. Thank you for Your ever-abounding mercy and great kindness. Thank you that You always hear me and that You will answer. Link us all, every single man, as one as we usher in Your Kingdom through prayer and faith. Abide with us as we abide with You. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen
