“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23, KJV
It’s wonderful to know that all of the fruits, or attributes, of God are wrapped up in the Holy Spirit. Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith (faithfulness), meekness, temperance (self-control) all are found in His Spirit and He now lives in us. Therefore, God’s character, His very nature, is on the inside of us and He is ready to bear witness to the world through us that He lives. He is ready to show we have Who is higher and greater. He is ready to show His love to us and through us. He is ready to show a more excellent way.
When we behave like Him on our jobs, in leadership, in how we treat others, and even in a our challenges and storms, those around us will experience something that couldn’t be manufactured on our own, by only God Himself. They will experience the power, love and compassion of God Himself. It is truly divine and flows by His Spirit. He is the tree that bears these powerful fruits in our lives. The key is having constant fellowship with God and allowing His Spirit to lead us and reign in us by yielding to Him. Like naturally a healthy tree bears fruit, the Holy Spirit will bear His fruit in you and you will see you have the total package to handle any given situation.
Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Spirit, Who is on the inside of me. By Your Spirit, I can walk like You and bear fruit. Help me to daily seek and spend time in Your presence, and maintain a constant fellowship with You. Your fruit will automatically be expressed because I am full of the Holy Spirit. Through me, bear witness to the world by Your love that You live. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
