Be A Humble Man

July 24, 2017

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14, NKJV

Humility has several meanings, but one is to bend the knee out of high reverence and honor of God’s sovereignty. We decline on having control and we bend down in our heart, allowing God’s will as the only counsel that stands in our lives, even above our own. It takes a humble man to say You are Lord and then live like it. It takes a humble man to say that I can’t do it, and then bend down to give God room to show him how.

When we humble ourselves, He is allowed to be our provider, our wisdom, and our strength. He will fuel your passion. He will build your faith. He’ll give you a second wind. He will heal and bless your life. It all begins with recognizing your unchanging need for Him. We then move out of His seat, making empty His rightful place. When He is allowed in His rightful place in our lives, the stage is set for change. The stage is set for reaching your potential as a man. Humble yourself and let Him change your life today.

Prayer: Father, I sincerely thank You for Your Word. Humility is vital to my relationship with You. It is vital for any change in my life. Help me to be a humble man and obey You. I admit that I can’t fix me, but You can. I bend the knee of my heart and allow You to have Your way in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
