“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:4-6, ESV
God is good and He is faithful. He is a God of many chances! Sometimes we run in the opposite direction, reach our lowest place ever, or face death’s door through sickness and disease. Then God—in His great love and mercy—gives us a second chance. The joy we have is indescribable. We then spend every waking moment doing what matters to Him.
If God has given you a second chance, go forward and fulfill His divine purpose for your life. If you don’t know your purpose, do what you already know to do. Go and tell everyone you meet what God has done for you. What’s He’s done for you, He will do for others! God doesn’t stop death in its tracks for you to sit and do nothing. Make the second chance God has given you count for something!
Prayer: Father God, I praise You for the second chance You’ve given me. You have shown Yourself to be faithful and I’m thankful for Your love and grace. Help me to make the most of the second chance You’ve given me. Be my determination. Help me continue to move forward and glorify You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
