“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us” Hebrews 12:1, NKJV.
It’s something as a man when God begins to ask you for everything and you know it. He asks for the music you listen to, the people you hang around, your relationships, that particular sin in your life, your priorities, or that job you treasure and you feel you can’t live without.
No one knows that God is knocking on the door of your heart, but you. No one knows He is asking for your all, but you. He wants everything in your life to be given to Him–your obedience, love, time, your mind, your strength, your resources, and your goals. He wants your focus to be completely on Him and His agenda.
God’s best is missing from our lives because we really haven’t given God our best. We know when we are holding back our all from God. Something is in the way and that is what He’s asking for. Whether it is in the corner or in the closet, that is what He’s asking for. When you give Him everything, that is when you will see and receive everything He has for you. His blessings, His victory, His power is waiting on you.
As He asks of you, give it to Him. Let Him be the Man in charge and trust Him. It can be the biggest test of your faith when God asks for everything, but it will produce your greatest reward.
Prayer: God, thank You for Your Word. You have been speaking to me. You are God and You are calling me higher. You have something more for my life that I can’t explain, and I must trust You. I surrender it to You. Here is everything. Jesus I let You in. I believe I will receive and see everything You have for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
