Have you truly prayed about it?

April 22, 2017

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:6-7, NKJV.

Sometimes, I find myself pacing back and forth in my mind worrying about something I already prayed to God about. At least I thought I did.

If we are worrying about something, we have to ask ourselves have we really prayed about it? Have we just thought about praying, but not prayed? Have we only did a drive-by prayer on our way to work, or is it something we really took it before the Father? Have we took it before Abba-our Papa? Have we put aside other things to inquire of God about, and said I’m going to take this moment to specifically pray about this or them. Have we said I’m going to take time to give to God and pray regarding this one thing.

There’s power in prayer. When we pray, when we come before God about our purpose, marriage, our house, job-related plans, or any other decision, we bring our worry and concerns with us. We should stand transparent and humble before Him. He will stand before you also, with the answers, the reassurance, the direction, the peace that you need that will keep your heart and mind by Christ Jesus. When you really pray like this, God can really deal with the root of your worry.

Lastly, when you really pray, you give time to thanking God for Who He is, what He has done and you are reminded of what He can do! You will find you can’t thank God and worry at the same time. You will find there’s no need worry.

Prayer: Father, Papa, thank You for always hearing my prayers. I thank You for all You have done and You always come through. I take the time to pause and really pray about this situation or this person in my life. Here I am and I listen to You now. You are with me and there’s no need to worry. I release it over to You and I receive great peace! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
