More than Conquerors

March 24, 2017

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” Romans 8:37, NIV.

After obtaining victory over his enemies, famous Roman General Julius Caesar, penned these words; “We Came, We Saw, We Conquered.” The popular phrase signifies Caesar and his army’s ability to triumph in war through strategic and forceful combat. For many believers, this same approach is applied, whether engaged in spiritual warfare or challenges in everyday life. However, God’s Word tells us that we are not only victorious over every battle we may confront, but that we are “more than conquerors.” This means that by the authority of Jesus Christ, we can speak our victory. We can live our victory and not even bust a sweat. We don’t have to exhaust ourselves mentally, physically or spiritually to obtain something we have already been given.

Remember, it was David, a young shepherd boy, armed with the Word of God and a Pebble that defeated the giant Goliath. It was obedience, praise and worship that caused Jehoshaphat’s enemies to kill themselves on the battlefield. God has armed us with something much more powerful than any weaponry or strategy our enemy devises against us. We have God’s Word and the mighty name of Jesus sealed upon every prayer we speak, causing the enemy to tremble and the power of God to move on our behalf. No matter what you are facing today, remember; Jesus Came, Jesus Saw, and Jesus Conquered to keep us from fighting a battle he already won for us.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for the victory I find in you. You have assured me through your Word that I can rest in your comforting arms whenever times are challenging. You have already made provisions for me in every circumstance I face. I believe that everything will work out for my good and you will get the glory through my enemies. You are my provider and my protector and you will never leave or forsake me. Thank you for your perfect love and the strength you give me every day. Continue to grow my faith and help me to have patience and peace as you carry me through.
In Jesus Name I pray, Amen
