“But He gives us more and more grace [through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation]. Therefore, it says, “God is opposed to the proud and haughty, but [continually] gives [the gift of] grace to the humble [who turn away from self-righteousness]” James 4:6, Amplified.
Pray this prayer with me:
“Father, I thank You. I’m humbling myself to Your Word today. I’m humbling myself to Your Will today. I bow before You and let You be Lord of my life. There is no good thing that I can do on my own. All of the strength, all of the love, all of the joy and all of the perseverance I need comes from You. You are my Source. Help me Father to remain humble today. You said if I humble myself, You’ll exalt me in due time. You said if I walk humbly, You will give me grace. I receive Your mighty grace and I thank You for living through me today. I thank You for doing great things through me today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
