“He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.” Matthew 28:6-7, NKJV.
Jesus had been telling His disciples what He came for. He had come to give His life as a sacrifice for our sins. Yet, He told them that wouldn’t be all that would happen. He said in three days that He would rise from the dead. He would tell them in different ways again and again that He would overcome the grave and rise. Now, the angel says He is risen, just like He said.
Jesus didn’t come only to wipe away your sin. He came to make you alive! He came and gave you eternal life. He came to make every area in your life alive. He came to make you new. He came to make the life of God, the purposes of God, the plan of God for you to rise!
When He rose, the new you rose. When He rose with all power in His hands, when you give your life to Him, you have risen with power in yours. You have risen to be the man God says you can be and to do what the He created you to do. Yes, it is amazing, beyond your comprehension, with everything you’ve been through, but you stand now in Christ, full of His Spirit and you are alive!
So live! Exalt the Lord. Live in Him and for Him. And whatever He said will rise in your life, it will. It may be dead, it may appear lost, but if He said He will make that area alive again, rise again, He will. It will be just like He said.
Prayer: Father, You’ve done great things for this man. Jesus is alive! He rose just like He said. You have done what You said you will do in my life. Things are rising that appeared like they couldn’t. What an awesome God You are! Thank You Jesus for Your resurrection and mine! You made me alive! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
