A Man Broken

January 17, 2017

“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18, KJV.

Have you ever felt like you were a man that was broken? You need so much help that you didn’t even know what to ask God to fix. That is just how much you need Him. I’ve been there. You look up to Him and you just have no words. You feel like you just had enough faith to sit before Him, and all you can say is help me.

God hears your silent prayers and He sees every broken part in you. He sees right where you are and He helps all those that call on Him in truth. When you’re broken, it is not the time to try to be tough because your pride will get in the way of your promise. It’s not the time to be a man, but a son. Be like you would want your own son to be, to come to you in their time of need.

Be encouraged. He is even more present than you realize. He will give you hope. He will miraculously give you strength. This is the God you serve, and Who is faithful to help you. Don’t let the lack of words in your brokenness keep you from drawing near to God. According to His Word, if you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you (James 4:8). You won’t be left ashamed. He will not leave you where you are. He is near to those with a broken and contrite heart to deliver you.

Prayer: Father, I have no strength for words. I don’t know what to do, but I know You do. I can’t fix my brokenness, but You can. I need You Lord. Jesus carry me now. Hear my heart. Speak into my life today. Make a way for me and deliver me. You will help me with what I’m going through! I will trust You. I Thank You Father. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer: Psalm 33:20, 94:17-18, 145:18
