The Lifter of Your Head

July 14, 2021

“But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head” Psalm 3:3, NKJV.

First, he fled from Saul. Now, at the time David wrote this Psalm, he is fleeing from his own son. You can only imagine how devastated he felt. Yet, he knew his God and surely the Lord lifted his head.

Sometimes, we can feel down and out. Yet, God will lift us. While you may be looking down, He comes and picks you up and reminds you of who you are and Who He is. Our shield. Our glory, our honor as a man. He is the lifter of your head.

Prayer: Father, I thank You this morning. You are my Rock, my fortress, and my shield. You are the lifter of my head. You help me, protect me and I don’t have to be afraid. You will make a way for me. I will praise You! I will lift You up, as You lift me up and give You praise. You are my glory. You are the lifter of head! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
