“And before the lamp of God went out in the tabernacle of the Lord where the ark of God was, and while Samuel was lying down, that the Lord called Samuel…And Samuel answered, ‘Speak, for Your servant hears.’ ” 1 Samuel 3:3-10, NKJV.
One of our kids sings and I had been desiring to give them a song. I was in bed asleep and then early in the morning a melody for a new song began to spring up in my heart. It was hard because I was sleeping so well, but I began to realize something–this is the Lord. The Lord is speaking.
He is speaking, and at this moment, I don’t want to miss what He’s trying to give me. I’ve disobeyed Him before when He called me to speak, but I don’t want to miss Him again. I shook off the sleep, reached for my phone, and recorded what He gave to me.
Be encouraged not to miss your moment. The Lord is calling you. He’s calling to show you something great and new. It’s your answered prayer. It’s your God idea. You’ve been praying to God for specific wisdom and steps on how to arrive at His destination for your life. You’ve been praying for a financial breakthrough. The Lord knows and that’s why He’s calling you.
You may have missed Him before, but thank God just like with Eli, He’ll call you again and again. He truly wants to reveal something and bless your life.
Next time He speaks, answer I hear you, Lord. I’m listening to You.
Prayer: Father, I praise You. Thank You for calling me and Your desire is the show me great and mighty things that I don’t know of. At any time, help me to be aware when You are speaking to me. I declare I will respond Your servant hears You. Speak Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
