“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks” Luke 6:45, NKJV.
We truly have what we say, and out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Your heart is full of something, and whatever you fill your heart with, that is what you will find yourself, intentionally or unintentionally, talking about. If you’re complaining, saying you will always be struggling, or giving voice to what you can’t do, then that is what your heart is full of, and that is what you believe.
Fill your heart in abundance with what God says. He says He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). He says He’ll supply all your need (Philippians 4:19). He says He will always cause you to triumph in Christ and no enemy will triumph over you (2 Corinthians 2:14).
When real issues and affairs of life arise, your abundance of what God says will come right out of your heart. When fear says you can’t do it, God’s word will rise up and respond within you that yes you can, because He’s with you! God’s word will turn your heart into a believing machine, your speech will change and the fruit you produce in your life will change also.
Prayer: Thank You, Father. As a man, I know how to eat physically in abundance; however, help me to learn to eat spiritually in abundance and get filled with the good treasure of Your word. Bring forth good things in my life. When I feel like saying the wrong thing, help me Holy Spirit, and remind me of Your word. Overhaul anything evil in my heart and change what I speak and what I believe. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
