A Man of Power

June 10, 2018

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” 2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV.

Your own power runs out, but the power of God doesn’t. It is present all the time. He gave you power to be the man He created you to be. The word power here means “dunamis” in the Greek, which is where we get the word dynamite. The Father has given you by His Spirit, not only love and a sound mind, He has given you power–this kind of power.

This is the power to operate as a man of God with strength. You have power to live right. You have power over the devil and every evil work. You have power to overcome evil with good. The power of God gives you the strength to dominate over your flesh, and tell it to do what your spirit man tells it to do.

Step into your God-given power, as well as the authority given through Jesus Christ. You have delegated authority, like an officer with a badge. They could be small in stature, but that badge makes them as big as who backs it, they walk in the same power as the one who backs it. How much more with Jesus who backs you! Take a stand against your unseen opposition and tread upon them. Take a stand against not having a joy. Possess what God says is for you. The devil knows Christ is in you and he knows who you are. You must know also. You are a man of power.

Prayer: Father, thank You for filling me with power. Make me like a dynamite in prayer and explode over the works of the enemy. Cause when I pray, even when I prayer over my wife and children, the power of God moves their obstacles out of the way. I have been given authority to walk in victory in every situation. I declare I am a man of power! Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Study: Luke 10:19, Acts 1:8
