“Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, ‘Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.’ But the men who had gone up with him said, ‘We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.’ There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grass-hoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” Numbers 13:30-31 & 33, NKJV.
What do you do when you see your giant and your land–what God has for you–at the same time? What do you do? I believe that is where some of us are. We see great mountains and great reward ahead. Like Joshua and Caleb, we see giant grapes in season, but we see giants too. Caleb saw them and said we are well able to overcome it. The other men saw the giants and then saw themselves as grasshoppers in their sight.
When you see giants in your land, whatever that giant may be for you, turn your eyes to see your God also. Turn your eyes and see God’s hand is with you, and what He’s put in you. Recognize that He has already given it to you, and He wouldn’t bring you this far not to enter in your season. As we see more of God and how much He is with us, we’ll begin to see the truth concerning our giants.
Prayer: Father, thank You that the place of blessing that You have for my life has already been given to me. Help me to see You are with me and the truth about the giants before me. I choose to believe Your word. You are the real Giant and with You, I’m well able to overcome it. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
