In the moment, what is God saying?

June 9, 2018

“And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward” Exodus 14:15, NKJV.

With Pharaoh and his army behind them, and the Red Sea in front of them, the people of Israel found themselves in a tough situation. It seems there’s no where to go and no where to turn. Yet, God spoke and told Moses to go forward. In the heat of a decision, in the face of pressure, He said to them what they needed to hear.

In these times, the first thing, most important thing you need to know regarding your life, a situation, your ambitions, your challenge, your victories, is what is God saying? In the heat of a decision or obstacle, God isn’t silent. He is speaking right now regarding being wise with your blessings or to navigate you through a storm. He is speaking of a way out and where to turn. Many of us experience what the devil is saying to us, and we can hear him loud and clear. Yet, the great thing to know is that God is speaking also–much more.

In a moment of plenty or a moment of drought, He is speaking much more. In a time of devastation, He is saying something to you. In a time where you and your spouse aren’t talking, He is talking. What He is saying always agrees with His word. Also what He says will always call us to use what we live by–faith. He tells us if we pray, if we speak to Him, He will speak to us. He will not only hear us, and let us down. He hears us with the intent to answer, to lead, to take us forward. If Moses can hear God in the moment, and you have Christ in you, you can too.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your word. At this very moment in this situation I face, what are you saying to me? I thank You for hearing Your voice and just as Moses, give me the courage to go forward with what You are telling me to do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
