Trust the Driver.

January 6, 2022

“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday” Psalm 37:5-6, NKJV.

Years ago, my wife and I went on an African safari. We rode in a jeep with other tourists and had to trust the driver could navigate us through it. We saw all kinds of animals–rhinos, a lion, giraffes, and elephants. We even experienced an elephant charging at us, and my wife and I were tempted to jump out the truck and run! But we trusted the driver. He gave us instructions for our safety in the midst of big animals and rough terrain. We had to give up control and let him lead the way–and we arrived back safe and it was a great blessing.

You may feel like you’re in some new or rough terrain in your life right now. Things in the world have gotten so deep, and your eyes see so much happening. Yet, don’t be discouraged. Don’t jump out of His will. The Lord is your Driver. He knows the end from the beginning. He is sovereign, good, and is for you. It’s time to trust Him. So when the Lord gives you instructions, adhere to them. God is giving you instructions for your safety and for your good. There is a path He has for you, but you must let Him have full control. Let Him lead the way. He is taking you right into your blessing.

Prayer: Father, I give You praise. I thank You that even in rough terrain, You are my Driver. Even in new things, You are my Driver. You are a good God and I can trust You. Help me to let go of control and adhere to Your instructions. I will trust You right now. I will arrive at every blessed place You have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
