The power of a good word.

January 30, 2022

“Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, But a good (encouraging) word makes it glad” Proverbs‬ ‭12:25, Amplified.

“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things” Romans 8:32, NKJV.

The Father has given us in His word so many powerful promises. When He couldn’t swear by none greater, God swore by Himself to keep every one He made.

He didn’t do it because He had to, but He wanted our view of His word to be like a rock of encouragement for us. Trusted and sure. He did it to bedrock your peace and joy, no matter what you go through. His good words settle all disputes in our hearts and minds, with power that breaks every chain of the enemy. For every matter of life, His Spirit even speaks a word in season-specific to give us hope, to cheer us, and lift us up.

Tell yourself I will not be weighed down today. Give place to a good word that encourages you right where you are in your life and makes you glad!

Prayer: Father, I praise You and thank You for good words that lift me up. I receive it. I give all anxiety and anything weighing me down to You right now. This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it! Help me to keep on my heart and mind a good word from You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
