“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” 1 Thessalonians 5:18, NKJV.
“If He dresses the lilies with beauty and splendour, how much more will He clothe you. If He watches over every sparrow, How much more does He love you” – Jireh, Maverick City.
He’s kept you and carried you. You may be hurting, but you can thank God that He heals all wounds. Be thankful for the God Who clothes you. Grateful that He watches over you. Thankful for friends and loved ones that are still here. Grateful for the wife you can still hold at night. Your mom may talk your ear off, but as you sit by her side today, she’s still here. Reach for thankfulness, not for what’s different this year, what you’re going through, or what has changed, but for how Jesus remains the same.
The gratitude that you reach for will cause you to find God in it. The God Who is good and Who knows every why. The God of the breakthrough. The God that brings water supernaturally in desert places. Reach for Me and be thankful.
Prayer: Father, You are good, and I praise You! I reach for You, and I choose to reach for thankfulness. You hold all the why’s in my life. I receive Your joy. Some things have changed, but Jesus, you are the same. Use me to be a great blessing today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
