No time for games. I’m focused on You.

December 30, 2023

“Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble” 2 Peter 1:10, NKJV.

“And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint” Galatians 6:9, AMPC.

You don’t have time to play any games in the coming year. Be focused on God. You have a God to glorify and a calling to fulfill. You have a wife to love and a family to lead. You have a local church to link up with and build the kingdom. If they’re not for you, they can’t walk close to you. Pray and bless them, but keep moving. This is too serious of an hour to spend your time on what subtracts from you. Joyfully give all your attention to what adds to you. Make good investments, not bad ones, into your relationship with God, your conversations that build up, opportunities to do good, and your purpose. Jesus is coming, and you just don’t have time. Those who play games end up with no harvest.

Prayer: Father, thank you for the wisdom as I step into the new year. I don’t have time to play games, but be serious about obeying you. Help me not major in the minor things. Help me lead my wife and family. May only good communication and love come from my mouth. Give me great focus and discernment regarding my decisions with relationships and what I engage in for my life. It’s all about you and your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
