Don’t ever change.

January 31, 2019

“Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit” Psalm 51:12, ESV.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8, ESV.

When I first got saved, I use to sit on the floor in front of my radio listening to the same song before the Lord. I would sit and bask in God’s presence. I would just quietly sit and spend time with Jesus. Nothing else mattered and I found joy and peace at His feet. Salvation was simple then, but I allowed life to make it complicated. Yet, not anymore.

Maybe life happened and now salvation isn’t as simple and you feel it isn’t as pure it use to be. Maybe you’ve started looking for what Jesus can do, rather than looking to walk with Him. You have many needs and it’s challenging to just sit before Him.

Be encouraged to return to the simplicity and joy of your salvation and your walk with Christ. Jesus hasn’t changed, nor has your salvation. The same man that you were, the excitement of just being saved, the purity of your seeking God, the child-like faith and the joy of your salvation shouldn’t ever change.
