How to Believe God for It

January 29, 2018

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” Hebrews 11:1, KJV.

I remember watching the telecast of Apostle Fred Price’s ministry and the song playing would say, “Evidence. Evidence. Do you have enough evidence!” What it meant was do you have enough word to support what you’re believing God for.

Faith is the evidence that we believe there is a God we can’t see, that will affect what we can because His word says He will. There may be trouble, but there is a God Who will turn our trouble into triumph. There may be pain, but there is a God that gives us beyond the pain, a promise. He’ll never leave us or forsake us. He’ll always give us an expected end. All the while we put our faith in Him, He moves us to continue to support our faith more and more with His word.

If I asked you what scriptures are you standing on to support what you’re believing God for, could you tell me? Faith can’t be exercised where the will of God is not known. His word is what our faith stands on in our daily living. His word is what our faith stands on until it comes to pass. His word is your evidence that if God did it for them, He will do it for you! It helps us have faith and obey God in our behavior toward others. When others see Jesus displayed through your faith, they see you become the evidence that He is alive. Support your faith with His word today.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the evidence of my faith that You’re alive. Help me to stand on Your word and stand on what I am believing You for. Lead me to what scriptures I can think on and stand on today to support my faith. Let my faith display You to others by the love, joy and peace I walk in. Make me walking evidence that Jesus lives and He saves. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Study: Psalm 1, Hebrews 11:1-12
