“Husbands, love your wives [seek the highest good for her and surround her with a caring, unselfish love], just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her” Ephesians 5:25, Amplified.
I usually have live prayer with my family during the week, but on this night, I decided to pray the next day instead so I could minister to my wife. She had a long day. I asked her to step out and get some time to herself. As she was getting ready, God spoke to me, and I said to her with joy, “Just hold on, baby. Hold on.” She broke down in tears and said, “You said that at the right moment. I needed to hear that more than you know.” I began to pray over her. She dropped to her knees, and God began to pour out His grace and refresh her. She held me tightly, kissed me, and said I love you.
Don’t put others before your wife. Don’t put ministry to others before your ministry to your wife. The family is a man’s first ministry.
Prayer: Father, I give You praise. Thank You for blessing me with the gift of my wife. She’s my first ministry. Help me to love her as Christ loved the church and gave of Himself for her. Help me to always be mindful of her needs. Bless me to always hear her, understand what she’s going through, and be the best husband I can be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
