“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God” Psalm 92:12-13, NKJV.
Palm trees can grow up to 197 feet tall. They always grow toward the sun, even if they must contort and bend. They thrive in warm and moist climates. They may appear fragile, but their looks are deceiving. They can bend in massive storms, yet amazingly, they do not break.
As the righteous, you are as the palm tree. Swaying and bending in the storm, God is in you and won’t allow you to break. It frustrates the devil that you seem to keep standing. Even after more adversity, more glory is revealed in your life.
You thrive in God’s perfect will. You thrive in the water of His Word, planted by it, growing as high as you can and reaching as high as you can. You are drawn to the Son, Who is the light of the world, and you are empowered from your Source, gaining strength from Him, receiving joy and favor from Him, abounding in His grace.
As the palm tree, you may have to adjust and bend in life, but nothing will keep you from flourishing. He ordained you to thrive.
Prayer: Father, thank you for making me righteous through Jesus Christ, and I flourish as the palm tree. I may bend, but I won’t break! I am like a palm tree, and I will continue to reach for you, flourishing into everything you have for my life. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
