You have been bought with a price. Glorify Him.

December 16, 2017

“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, NKJV.

If you bought a new car and sat inside of it, you would desire for that vehicle to do what you purchased it for. It’s yours. You paid a price, and you bought it for your goodness and pleasure.

The reality is just like that new car, we have been bought with a price beyond words can express. Jesus paid a great price for you and I, the way we choose to treat our body and our spirit is an indicator of how we honor that price. We humbly are now God’s and we have been purchased for His goodness and pleasure.

Jesus didn’t put in all that work to defeat sin for us, so that we choose it to reign over us. The Holy Spirit now lives inside of us, and He dwells within us with strength for character and power. He is all that we need to live righteous, holy and experience the goodness of God.

The Lord wants you to walk in all that He purchased us for. When you wholeheartedly do what He created you for, you glorify Him. When you live unto Jesus and live holy, you glorify Him. When you are faithful to your wife, you glorify Him. When you flee sexual immorality, you honor God in your body. When you eat right and work out, you glorify Him. When you use your gifts for His glory, that is glorifies the Father. The most satisfying and greatest joy you will have in life is when God Almighty is looking at how you’re living as a man for Him and is well-pleased.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for Your Word. Thank You Jesus. I have been bought with the price You paid. Help me to understand that price and honor it. Show me how to glorify You Father in my body and spirit. Holy Spirit I am Your temple and I ask that You help me to live holy before You. I declare I will do what You created me for. I pray the world sees You as You’re glorified in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
