“Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” Hebrews 13:21, NKJV.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13, NKJV.
Over a hundred times in the New Testament you will see God refer to being in Christ, through Christ, in Him, or by Him. It is even mentioned in scripture that we should put on Christ.
Everything we are and do, everything we accomplish or every mountain moved out of our way, any love or power that we walk in to have a victorious Christian life is through the grace found in Christ. He is our ability. There is no overcoming, except through Jesus Christ, and without him, even being a strong man, you cannot overcome the enemy alone.
With humility, receive that by yourself, you can’t do it. Yet, just like stepping into a suit of superpowers, when you step into Him in prayer when you yield to the Christ in you in your moment-by-moment decisions, you supernaturally step into His grace, His power, and His love to respond like Him, and to execute the will of God for your life.
Prayer: Father, I praise you for revealing to me anything I accomplish is not through myself, but through Jesus. I ask that You help me to apply this truth and right now as I pray, I put on Christ today. I yield to the Jesus in me. I yield to your grace and your love. Through Him, I will live a powerful and victorious life today. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
