“The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it” Proverbs 10:22, ESV.
Just because everything is going right, doesn’t mean to begin looking for something to go wrong. Some of us as men have been conditioned by our past to not expect things to be well in our lives for too long.
When there is nothing missing and nothing broken in your life, when you begin to actually experience what God promises, are you paranoid something’s about to go wrong? It’s hard to enjoy life living that way. Instead of enjoying your blessings and the season of your life you’re in, you’re looking over your shoulder waiting for trouble, or a let down that doesn’t come.
You aren’t under the curse, but under the blessing through Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:13-14, 29). You don’t have to look over your shoulder. Be thankful you are living for God and enjoy the out-pour that you’re experiencing. Jesus said you would have tribulation, but he didn’t say you would live in it. He said he came to give you life and that life more abundantly, and that’s what you are walking in.
I don’t know what your past experiences have been, but the Father’s desire is that you stop expecting something wrong, and begin to expect to having nothing missing and nothing broken.
Prayer: Father, as a man I’ve gone through some things so many times, it can be hard to believe and enjoy when things are finally going right and are staying that way. Help me to not expect something wrong to happen, but begin to expect something right. Help me to expect peace, expect prosperity, expect to see You move on my behalf, and expect more blessings to come. It’s okay when there’s nothing missing and nothing broken in my life. Thank You Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
