Now you have to trust Me.

February 24, 2024

“…It was so bad we didn’t think we were going to make it. We felt like we’d been sent to death row, that it was all over for us. As it turned out, it was the best thing that could have happened. Instead of trusting in our own strength or wits to get out of it, we were forced to trust God totally—not a bad idea since he’s the God who raises the dead! And he did it, rescued us from certain doom. And he’ll do it again, rescuing us as many times as we need rescuing” 2 Corinthians 1:8-10, Message Bible.

You may find yourself like Paul. You are in a bad situation, and honestly, there’s nothing you can do. If the Lord doesn’t do it, it won’t get done. God eliminated all your options, and it’s sobering when you find even as a man you’re limited in your own rescue. You’ve come to the end of yourself, and God says as your loving Father –now you have to trust Me. You can’t do anything now–but be still and trust Me.

It’s a great place to be when He’s your only choice. You are in the best position to find out who God truly is, not only in someone else’s life but in yours. You’re about to encounter the One that can open doors, bring what seems dead back to life, and makes all things new. God will bring to pass His good and perfect will for those who put their trust in Him. God’s response to our humble dependency will always be great favor and grace. Mighty growth and rescue always come from a great dependency.

Prayer: Father, I praise you. I can’t trust anyone but you right now. I’m forced to look only to you, and that’s the best place for me. You’re teaching me how to always depend on you. I ask for refreshed strength and wisdom. I choose to trust you. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
