“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living” Psalm 27:13, NKJV.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” Psalm 23:6, NKJV.
Your past isn’t all the goodness you are ordained to see, but He will be good to you in your days ahead and even today.
You may not know how or when, but He will be good to you. Since God is good, He can only be good. When He chastises us as a father does a son, the Lord’s goodness, grace, and mercy will show up and be beyond what you can understand. You may feel it’s beyond what you’re worthy of, but that’s His everlasting love that He has for you.
If you settle yourself in Him, you will hear the Lord say I am good, even now, and He is bringing what He said to pass. Things may appear to be going differently than you would like, or you need a great change within. You may be praying for direction, an open door, or a job opportunity. You can count on and expect something good from God. His plans are your portion. He knows what you need before you even ask. Surely the Lord is going to show up with goodness in His hands.
Prayer: Father, I thank You! You still have great things planned for me. You have been good, and I believe I will see Your goodness in my life. Lead me, Holy Spirit. Let my faith stand on this mighty truth. You will come through for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
