When fear comes to grip you, stand on the Word.

June 27, 2020

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you” Psalm 56:3, ESV.

“My peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you…Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid” John 14:27, ESV.

My mother has successfully been living with congestive heart failure for over 15 years now. She changed her diet and has been doing everything needed by the doctor to live a normal life. Yesterday, she called me sounding very weak and said she was on her way to the emergency room. After she spoke, immediately fear came to grip me that this was her last day. But the Spirit of God spoke to me and said stand on the Word. Not only stand on My written Word, but also on what I told you about her life that she will help you in ministry and she’s not going anywhere. She left the hospital feeling better.

When fear comes to attempt to grip your life, stand on the Word of God. Stand not only His written Word, but also stand on what He has specifically said He will fulfill in your life or someone close to you. If He said it, He will do it and no devil in hell can change what God has promised.

Standing on the Word means to apply it in your moment. Stand on the Word with prayer, including agreeing with others to stand praying with you. Speak the Word and the Word only. Speak only what He said specifically to you what He will do.

God has not given you the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You are equipped to not allow fear or any form of it, to rob your joy, your peace, or your ability to emotionally function. A stronger Man has come, Who is Jesus Christ. You can say no to fear and stand on His Word!

Prayer: Father, I praise You. Your Word is settled and true. With so much happening, when fear comes to grip me, help me to stand on Your Word. Remind me Holy Spirit of what You said will come to pass. Let that be my response. I cast my care on You today. Jesus is greater and I will walk in victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen
