When we hear that a God is able, we sometimes look at ourselves and our ability. We can find ourselves predetermining the outcome based on what we see rather than what He says.
You can’t see Him, yet God proclaims His ability in His word. He says look at what I did for Joshua and Israel, making the walls of Jericho fall. When it seemed far from happening, see how I gave Abraham a son at an old age. Look at how I helped Peter bounce back from his mistakes, used him to win three thousand souls, and became a pillar for advancing My kingdom. I even raised my Son Jesus from the dead. I not only speak to you my promises, but I am able to perform them!
He is able to change you. He’s able to move the mountain! He can turn your finances around! He is able to get you through the hard times. Give Him your faith and patience today so He can show you He’s able.
Prayer: Father, I praise You today. Thank You for your great love for me. You are able! Move in my life in a mighty way. Help me not to look at what I can do, but what You can. I take my eyes off my situation and look to Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith! Nothing is impossible for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
