“He shall cry to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation” Psalm 89:26 ESV.
“The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him” Proverbs 23:24, ESV.
I don’t know about you, but for most of my life, my biological father wasn’t there. Yet, God was there. He has been my best Father, more than I could ever imagine. Remember how God has been a Father for you, and allow Him to help you be the greatest father you can be.
He has blessed you with the greatest honor and privilege to be a father–a valuable component of the family structure of God. You are the guide of the home, the leader, protector, and provider. You are built to handle storms and lead your family through them. A father loves and ministers to his wife and children in every way. You make sure your home is happy. Your children thrive at your wisdom and voice of encouragement when you tell them they can do it.
God has been the best Father to you. Be the best father for your family.
Prayer: Father, thank you for all you have done for me. Thank you for giving one Son for another, and you saved me. Thank you for keeping me and providing me with everything I need to be a great father to lead my family. I don’t take it lightly. Help me continue loving them like you and be the best father I can be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
