Return to a place of rest

July 23, 2021

“Return to your rest, O my soul, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you. For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling” Psalms 116:7-8, NKJV.

Leave that place of burden and worry, and return to your place of rest. Leave that place of trying to figure it out on your own, and return to your place of rest. That place of rest in the Lord.

Set yourself, stand still and look at how over the years He’s dealt bountifully, He’s dealt well with you and blessed you, even beyond what you deserve. No one knows, but He delivered you so many times. Remember all He’s has done and doing in your life, and say the Lord has got this too. He’s been and will be good, so rest. He’s faithful, so rest. It’s already done, so rest.

Prayer: Father, I give You all the glory and I thank You for a place of rest. Help me to let go by faith and rest. Help me to cast with force my cares to You. I give them all away to You. As I give them to You, You’ll give me the wisdom and light for my path I need. I’ll see the way You’ve made for me. You got this! My entire life is in Your hands. You are good and faithful. I say soul be still, and I will rest in You. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
