“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore” Psalm 16:11, NKJV.
When going through tough situations in life, it can be a challenge to keep seeking the Lord. The situation is trying and uncomfortable. It tells you to put all of your focus, and spend all of your time thinking on it.
Yet, God is right next to you in the situation and says regardless of what you’re going through, seek after Me. You still need to occupy your thoughts with My word. Meditate on how great I am, and there’s nothing I can’t do. Then, you’ll receive My unshakable joy. Then, you’ll see My hand already at work, and My victory already given to you.
Ask yourself are you seeking the situation to change more than the God Who can change it? Refuse to let a circumstance dictate your pursuit for God. It can be tough, but seek the Lord! Your bank account may be low, but seek the Lord! Just like rain or shine as a man you would still go to work, rain or shine decide you will seek the Lord.
Prayer: Father, I give You praise. This situation is tough, but rain or shine, I choose to seek You. Help me to, on purpose, think on Your word. Help me to resist the temptation to spend my day dwelling on it and seek You. As I seek You, You’ll give me joy. As I seek You, I hear You saying everything is going to be alright. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
