“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” 2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV.
God didn’t give you a spirit (Greek means pneuma-breath) of fear. The only breath that comes from your Heavenly Father is life. The key is recognizing fear when it comes to operate in your life.
You can be living according to fear and not even realize it. Fear can be disguised and subtle. At the root of your decision-making regarding where the Lord wants to take you, is fear leading you or the Holy Spirit? Is what fear says gripping your peace and keeping you standing still instead of moving forward? When questions come about identity, or when you consider a challenge before you, the spirit of fear will pursue to go to the core of who you are and tell you who you’re not and what you can’t do.
You can do whatever God has called you to do. God can and will get you beyond any obstacle you face, even if you got yourself in the trouble. God is still good and will deliver.
The Father doesn’t want fear to implode your day. Fear is not a gift. It wasn’t given to you, and it is not your portion. For every hour, every second of your life, God has only given you power, love, and a sound mind. You’re going to need boldness and confidence in this hour. Receive it and walk in victory today!
Prayer: Father, thank you for your mighty word. You’ve given me many gifts, and fear is not one of them. Help me to recognize when fear is trying to operate in my life and to give it no place. I have been given a spirit of love, power, and a sound mind. Through Christ, I have freedom and victory, and I will continue to walk out my purpose in this season of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
