Leave it all out on the field of your life.

“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭24‬-‭25‬, NKJV‬‬.

Imagine you are a great, legendary football player and you’ve done a lot for the sport. Yet, as it happens for all athletes, the time comes when you have to walk away from the game. You’ve won multiple world championships. You were the best at your position. You had unbelievable moments of success, and brought joy to so many fans. It’s now a sobering reality you must leave the game you love. Yet, you have no regrets, and you leave with joy because you left it all out there and gave everything you had to the game.

The time will come for all of us, whether we want to or not, when we will have to leave this field of life. We will have to. The question is on your field of life, did you leave it all out there. May this sobering truth govern your decisions, your time, and what and who you choose to love.

Don’t allow the sum of your days not be the workplace or be to much television, watching greats when you are called to be one. You were made for much more. When your time comes to walk away from this life, you want to stand before God and say I left it all on the field for you.

Prayer: Father, thank you for speaking to me today. Help me leave it all out here. You have plan for me and my desire is know you. To give everything and be all you desire for me to be. I desire to have no regrets. When I see you, you will tell me well done. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
