“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed” Deuteronomy 31:8, ESV.
“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” Hebrews 13:5, ESV.
There is an overwhelming truth that can help you in the most trying times. It’s knowing that God will never leave nor forsake you. The devil will tell you that God has left, but He hasn’t. Your Almighty God is always at heart’s reach.
Whether you are in prison or a penthouse, He’s there and won’t ever leave you. Whether you are in court or ICU, He’s there and won’t ever leave you. You could have just decided to live in sin, or for the moment, you don’t care anymore, yet He still won’t forsake you. Some people will leave your side when things get tough, but in the heat of the fire, my brother, that’s when you learn the Father’s love the most. Thick or thin, He’s with you through it all.
Since He won’t ever leave you, access to Him won’t either. He is Jehovah Shammah, The Lord Who is There, meaning He is present and will help when you call. He is Jehovah Jireh, your Provider, and will supply all your needs. Jesus said he is the Way; therefore, as long as he’s with you, he will make a way to win.
Prayer: Father, I praise you. Thank you for never leaving nor forsaking me. No matter where we are, you are here, and I’m greatly encouraged. Help me always to remember you are at heart’s reach when I call. My peace comes, and victory is found in you. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
