“If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land” Isaiah 1:19, ESV.
If you’re like me when it comes to cooking, I don’t do much of it at all. My wife even says what would I do without her. Yet when I cook, it can feel a little intimidating when I begin preparing a meal. In the midst of what to do, how much to pour, and all the things that come with being in front of that stove, I would be reminded by God if I follow the instructions, follow the recipe, it will turn out fine.
Whatever you are facing in your life that appears intimidating. Whatever giant is before you. Whoever the Lord is leading you to disciple or minister to. There may even be something the Lord has put on your heart that you’ve never done. Be reminded to get the instructions of God and then follow them. Those steps that He provides are sufficient enough. Those steps will bring you the success He has for you. Those steps will lead you into the restoration of God.
Don’t allow your focus to be on what you’ve never done, how this will turn out, how long it will take, how they will respond, or whether you will fail. The instructions are your part; causing it to succeed is God’s. Let Him determine the results. Sow your seed of obedience, and He will make it grow!
Prayer: Father, You are good, and You give great instructions. Help me not be afraid of what is before me, and remind me of what You have said. I ask for a hearing heart. I will obey You and follow Your instructions, and everything will turn out fine! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
