“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma” Ephesians 5:1-2, NKJV.
This morning, my oldest daughter woke me up in a panic. She needed me to come take care of a big insect in the house. I know. What a way to start my Father’s Day! Although small, this is just one of the many things we, as fathers, do. From bugs to pipe leaks to talks with the kids and working hard to provide, no one will ever know the extent of all that you do to save the day.
We are made in our heavenly Father’s image and likeness. He saves the day. He rescues. He loves, sacrifices, provides, carries, leads, and upholds us. Be encouraged to keep imitating the Father. Don’t let go of the rope of your vital role. Rescue like your God. Provide like your God. You are favored and anointed to walk in the wisdom and problem-solving power of your Father.
I pray you are esteemed, blessed, and honored as a father. I pray you not only have it but also are blessed to slow down and feel it. Feel how blessed you are to have been created to be a man, a son, and a father—created to save the day. Receive it all today.
Prayer: Father, thank you for all you have done for me. You are the greatest Father. I ask for the strength and help to be a good Father like you. I’m anointed to save the day and grateful for it. Help me to receive and feel every ounce of honor, appreciation and blessing you have for me today. I receive it all today. I pray all other Father’s do also. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
