“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season” Psalm 1:1-3, NKJV.
As men, we are blessed by the things we don’t think about. A man is blessed simply because he enjoys his God and what He says. A man is blessed by having character, even in hard times. A man is admired when he loves his wife and makes sacrifices for her. A man is blessed when he’s submitted to waiting on God to open the door and not create his own. He’s promoted when God touches someone’s heart to recognize the faithfulness in him that He sees. He’s blessed when he’s learned to humble himself, trust and delight in God’s way.
In these times, be strong as a man. There may be harsh climate all around you, but God won’t let you wither. You are blessed! You will bear fruit in this hour, and your season will come.
Prayer: Father, I praise You! Let me never forget what causes me to be blessed. It’s my delight in You! I’m blessed in Christ. Since I do, I will always end up increasing, strengthened, favored, and provided for. Help me to stay strong in these times and make me an example of what You do for the man who trusts You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
