When you don’t understand why

August 12, 2018

“And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before” Job 42:10, KJV.

Some good friends of ours had something occur in their lives that has shaken them to their core, and they didn’t see it coming. After all of the prayer and all of the faith, they don’t understand why would God allow it to have happened.

Maybe you’ve experienced or are experiencing something right now that you truly have no answers for. You prayed. You had faith. You gave it your best and thought God would give you a certain outcome, but it didn’t happen. You didn’t see it coming and now you are asking God why.

Although you don’t understand why, be encouraged to keep trusting Him. Know when things happen in our lives we don’t understand, it doesn’t change Who God is. God cares about your situation and your life. He is not the author of evil, but good. Companies may fail. People may fail. Our bodies my fail. Yet, God never fails.

You may not see it now, but you’ll understand in due time. The Lord will make it all clear to you and bring light to what you’re going through. He will also bring people around you and although it’s not their valley, they’ll walk with you as if it was. That’s God and His way of showing you He’s there. In the end of it all, Job triumphed and was given double. His end was he was blessed and so will you.

Prayer: Father, help me get through this. Why? I don’t understand why, but I put my faith in You. I will trust You. Help me to not be silent or prideful about what I’m going through. I thank You for the people You are sending to help me. As I pray, speak to me. As I pray, lift my head. I believe there is a purpose for this and You will cause me to win. Be glorified Father. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
