When a Man is Dragging His Feet

February 5, 2019

“Don’t drag your feet. Be like those who stay the course with committed faith and then get everything promised to them” Hebrews 6:12, Message Bible.

To physically drag one’s feet is defined as someone who doesn’t completely pick up one foot or the other while they walk, so they drag with each step. It also means when someone is taking too long to do something or finish. Are you a man that is dragging your feet regarding what God has instructed you to do?

There are many reasons why men drag their feet. One reason men drag their feet is because deep down we are afraid. God wants you to receive deep down that you not only can walk and do what He’s called you to do, He’s given a grace to run after everything He’s put in your heart and everything He’s promised you.

I declare a grace to run in the name of Jesus! No more dragging your feet about it. No more staggering in your faith over what God has spoken about your life. You will mount up with wings like an eagle. You will run and not get weary! You will walk and not faint! You will not drag your feet, but I speak over you a greater pace that you begin to move in on what He has instructed you to do. No more sluggish years, lingering in the same place. No more years of dragging your feet. This will be your bountiful year!

Father, thank You for speaking directly to me. Nobody knew but You, and I praise You for meeting me exactly where I am. I receive Your great and joy-filled grace to go ahead and do what You’ve told me. No more dragging my feet. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
