He’s Able!

February 8, 2019

“And being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform” Romans 4:21, NKJV.

When we hear that God is able, we sometimes look at ourselves and our own ability. We can’t see Him, but we see our situation. We can find ourselves predetermining the possibilities, the victory, based on our own power, not His.

You can’t see God, yet He says look at what I did for Joshua and Israel making the walls of Jericho fall. See how when it seemed far from happening, I gave Abraham a son at an old age. Look at how, even after his mistakes, I helped Peter bounce back, empowered him to win three thousand souls and be a pillar for advancing the kingdom. I even raised my Son Jesus from the dead. I AM able to not only give You my promises, but I am well-able to perform every last one of them!

God announces His ability in His Word! God is able to change you. He is able to move the mountain! He is able to turn your finances around! He will bring another opportunity! He is able to give you strong faith! He’s able to get you through a hard time. Just as He brought others through, He will do the same for you! He needs your faith and obedience so He can show you what He is capable of doing for the man that puts their trust in Him. He’s able!

Prayer: Father, I praise You today. Thank You for Your word. You are able Father! You are not only able, but willing to move in my life in a mighty way. Help me not to look at what I can do, but what You can do. I take my eyes off of my situation and look to Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith! The battle is already won. Nothing is impossible for You because You are able. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
